Babe New Orleans

I loved Babe!This fashionable new boutique on Freret has everything you could want for a night out from the outfit and jewelry to the shoes. The clothing is just gorgeous and you can tell that the owner took the time to curate exactly what type of looks she wanted to offer in her store. Yes, some of it is on the more expensive end (at least for me), but on the day I was here there were quite a few items on sale.I love the way the store itself is laid out with certain clothing items in their own little lit up, framed spaces and everything is organized nicely and easy to find. You will find a little bit of everything here including tops, skirts, dresses, jeans and leggings. While I didn't buy anything on my latest trip, I am definitely adding Babe to my list of places to check out when I need an outfit for a special occasion or when I want to be a little stylish and fancy.

So different from any other boutique in New Orleans! The perfect place to shop for dresses and accessories. I feel like every other boutique carries the same stuff, but Babe is refreshing and unique. The owner is so nice and personable and really creates a very enjoyable shopping experience.

After getting notifications of an onslaught of positive reviews about Babe on google (which were clearly sent in by friends and family in order to improve the stores overall rating), I had to respond. I have honestly never had such a bad experience with a store owner in my life. As someone who has lived in New Orleans for 15 years, and loves supporting local boutiques and has had great experiences, I want everyone to know that the way the owner of this store speaks to her costumers is NOT normal. When attempting to return an item, I was talked down to and basically told to "figure it out." Hearing others experiences and seeing two other reviews on this account is honestly so validating, as it has been something that has really sat the wrong way with me. Don't get me wrong, the customer isn't "always right" but there is a certain level of respect that is expected between a business owner and their patron, which I absolutely was not given. I would consider taking your business elsewhere if you would like to have a pleasant experience. Remember everyone, always lead with kindness, and don't support those who don't!!
