B & G Fresh Market

This is not the cheapest option, but it's a truly local little store, not a chain like Walmart or even Winn-Dixie. They have some fairly unique offerings like Dong Phuong bread, which is kept in a bin towards the front and usually sells out before dinner time. The selection is very good for a small store, and while overall their prices are higher, if you look carefully they have some really good deals.

They have great smoked ribs. They serve additional menu items. Someone is always in line, so chances are it's good also. One customer verified that I didn't want any of their Rotisserie Chicken before he purchased them all...literally them all.

Hmmm. Quick in & out proves quite surprising!!! I pulled up for a redbull... And what a treat!!!! This is a mini-mart of sorts. Veggies... Booze (hard alcohol i.e. Crown royal, absolut)... Feminine products... Salad fixings... Oh and redbull. SURPRISE --- SURPRISE --- SURPRISE And you can get gas too!!!!! Doesn't seem to be too busy... maybe people just don't know what's in store in the store... #ancientchinesesecrethuh???? Friendly staff. Ample parking. Nominal/fair pricing. I'm good with it.

Locally owned. Its small, so it's a little more expensive than Winn Dixie or Walmart, but all meats and food are fresh. Very friendly staff. More items than you think, so it's very convenient, plus they have gasoline. I gladly go there all the time for deli meats and cheeses.

This is by far the best establishment I've ever worked for. This is a locally owned business that truly cares about every customer that comes in the store. The owners Mr. Rob and Mr. Brian go above and beyond to make sure the customers and employees are happy. The both of them have poured countless hours into making sure this store what it is today. Thank you B&G for not only letting me work for you but caring for my family, my co-workers, and the city of Chalmette too.

If you want that mom & pop feeling then go to B & G Fresh Market. You always get greeted as you walk in. The people who own the store and the workers are very friendly, very helpful and they take time to get to know their customers. They have really good prices on their meat! You should go to B & G because you will be treated like family.
