Atchafalaya Restaurant At idlewild

Still a great view and good food. Tried the burger and added avocado and bacon. It was filling and well flavored. Their fried shrimp was great. Really enjoyed the way they do their fries. Thin and flat which you don't see. They were perfect. I need to go play this golf course next. Spend a good bit of time for the turn. :)

Situated on a well-kept golf course, Atchafalaya Restaurant offers a nice view and pleasant setting. The service during our dinner was exceptional; a fine example of southern hospitality. For starters we had martinis, catfish bites and crab bisque; excellent southern cooking, not to mention the martinis were perfection. As our main course, we ordered stuffed Catfish Atchafalaya and Beef TenderloinSalad. The beef- tender and delicious- topped fresh romaine lettuce with artichokes and topped with a freshly sliced half of avocado. The catfish was fresh, as well as the topping, with a nice blend of flavors. I'll definitely be dining at Atchafalaya Restaurant again.

The food, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere looking out the big windows that overlook the beautiful golf course is amazing!

Excellent service and food First time visit my niece brought me here to have dinner with her Dad on Father's Day. Our waitress was very attentive. Stayed up on refills and checked to see if anything was needed. We each ordered different meals. I ordered fried catfish with crawfish etouffee it was amazing. Large portions also. I got crab cakes to go. My Sister ordered a seafood platter again large portion. Please make reservations it's a lot easier to get in. I'm not sure if it was because of the holiday. Great

The restaurant is bright & lovely, the service is passable, and the food we had was fair. We were passing through and wanted more than just a drive through. Crab cakes were good. Gumbo was disappointing, as was the chicken salad avocado. The best item of the meal was a cup of corn & crab chowder. Not sure we would make this stop again.

Came here to celebrate my boyfriends brother birthday. They had rented out the private room so it was just us and the gorgeous golf course scenery behind us! Ambience was perfect! Food did take a bit to come out but it was around 12 of us so totally understandable! Service was great. She kept the drinks coming while waiting for our food which was great. Food definitely surpassed my expectations! Very well executed from the kitchen. Property seasoned and cooked to perfection! No complains! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

We tried this place on our way home, and I am so glad we did! Overlooking the golf course large glass windows is the perfect setting. All staff was nice and courteous, esp with me having a 2 year old. There were 6 of us and we all enjoyed our food with NO issues. I will surely be back after a round of golf!!

Beautiful views of the golf course from the restaurant. Portions were huge. Service was excellent. We had a party of 7 and our server stayed on top of refills. Food was good but I think the flavor of my pasta could have been better. I would return and try something else.

I love this place. It's has beautiful views of the golf course. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic.

Blackened redfish was prepared just right, seasoned well and not overboard. For desert we had the in house made white chocolate bread pudding. Yes please.
