Asahi Japanese Sushi and Grill

The best sushi in town hands down. The rolls all have an explosion of flavor and uniqueness to them. I have literally never had a roll that wasn't great. My all time favorite sushi place. It's definitely the gold standard for me !!!

Love this place!!! They are so sweet and such hard workers. I live on the Northshore now and make sure to come here every time to get food to go when visiting family in the area. We don't have a place as quick, quaint, affordable, and delicious near us! Our favs are the Sue roll and the shrimp tempura appetizer!

Hidden gem! Asahi never disappoints!! They always have the freshest sashimi, sushi, etc. We went in for a late lunch and were immediately seated. Even when we left around 5 or so, people were slowly strolling in through the door. Easy to grab a quick bite to it if in a hurry too! The staff is always very friendly. They have tv's that are always on the sports channels. We started out with the soft shell crab app - yum! They serve a sort of yum yum sauce with it which is amazing! The sashimi deluxe was delicious - great quality raw fish. We ended up getting two rolls that are delicious from their handwritten roll menu. They have such a great variety of options - even hibachi! We enjoy eating here about once a week or so. While this isn't an extremely fancy sushi place, it certainly beats having to drive into town especially with great quality food!

This place is always packed! For a good reason. I have loved every single bite I have ever had here. The chef's are amazing and you can watch them make your food. The quality is outstanding. Swift service and staff is so kind and accommodating. Will go back often. Best in the area IMO hands down. Pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality.

Local go-to, to-go place. Fast service. Good value for what you get. Never had a bad roll here. Nice place to dine in for a casual lunch or dinner.

Very good sushi! In fact this is our favorite sushi place! I order a custom roll that consists of crab, cream cheese, soy paper, rice & sesame seeds. Simple but delicious! I also ordered Crawfish tempura roll with soy paper instead of nori. It was absolutely superb! The last thing in my order was chicken pot stickers (Gyoza) it was good too but the sushi rolls were fantastic!

Every time we have tried this place, it just hasn't been good. We've tried it 3 different times now. I haven't been able to find a decent sushi place since moving here.

Honestly came here for the good reviews but it's honestly the opposite, I highly don't recommend this place. My clear soup tasted like straight up water and hibachi was very salty and spicy. Even the condiments wasn't it at all! THE SUSHI LITERALLY COLLAPSED WHEN I PICKED IT UP.

The sushi is good here... love all the variations. We also tried the Hibachi steak and shrimp. It was pretty good also. The customer service is great as well. This is now my favorite local go to place.

Specialty rolls are good but the raw fish is poor quality. I spent $40 which is a great price but I would rather just get sushi masa (100 times better).
