Arzi's Greek & Lebanese Cafe

This is hands down the best Greek and Lebanese place I have ever eaten at. The service is spectacular to start off. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and not dry. The rice is a beautiful yellow color with a vibrant lemon flavor. This is definitely a hidden gem in Denham Springs. !! All I can say is TRY IT you won't regret it!!

Allow me to re-introduce you to Arzi's. I remember frequenting this chain a long time ago when I was in college, but it began to lose its luster compared to the other competitors in town (and I've frequented them all). I really can't remember the last time I had Arzi's, but someone posted a picture on social media and I've been salivating over it since. It looks like this is one of three locations (one in Central and one in Zachary) so it seems that Arzi's has essentially pulled out of the Baton Rouge market. I will tell you this--I left so satisfied and would definitely drive back here again (and plan to). This is not like the Arzi's of old--it seems much more authentic. The hummus has a light, whipped texture. It was delicious, though I personally like a little more "zing" (lemon, garlic?) in the flavor. I loved the sesame seeds in the falafel. The grape leaves were packed with dill and mint flavor which is so flavorful in my humble opinion. The moussaka also stood out from others in that it was much less oily and packed with garlic--yum! The salad dressing was light and slightly creamy but not too much. My husband got the day's special, lamb chops, and raved about them. I also appreciated the yellow basmati rice--it had a really unique flavor that we tried to pinpoint--cardamom, coriander? Everything was seasoned perfectly. I felt that what we got was also a great value. The service was superb. If you like Greek/Lebanese, don't sleep on this place!

A friend had recently eaten here and raved about the food. So we decided to go. I wasn't overly hungry so we just ordered the baba ganoush. It was seriously the best I've ever had! The pita bread was hot and fresh. The dip seasoned perfectly!! We also decided to try the almond cake. It was spectacular!! I almost got another piece to take home. The only downfall, was our waitress. When she asked us twice after ordering the appetizer we told her, thanks, this is all we wanted to order. She huffed, ROLLED HER EYES AT US, and stomped off. Are you kidding me? I wasn't aware there was a minimum to order. I figured the two teas, the large app and 2 pcs of cake was a sufficient amount to purchase in order to dine in. They weren't very busy at all either. I'll go back when in the area. But little miss snooty pants needs an attitude adjustment or we'll walk right back out the door.

Arzis is a name that speaks for itself in Baton Rouge with a rich 20yr history here and the newest location continues that tradition. The chicken schwarma has just the right amount of heat and the gyros is spot on. The hummus is tasty with a distinct flavor of lemon and sumac that makes it different than the bland norm at many other Greek places. Lastly, the falafel is very very good so don't forget to add some. The location is hidden in a small strip mall but this gem is worth finding whether to dine in with their friendly staff or take it to go. They also work with Waitr for delivery.

I absolutely love this place... wether is dining in or using waitr, we always get great food. The chicken, the gyro and the hummus is always great and mouth pleasing....great service and a friendly staff.. highly recommend Arzi's.

Wow, who knew we had such great Greek & Lebanese food so close. Service was excellent and it has that nice mom and pop feel to it. We really enjoyed our visit and we will definitely be back.

Food is usually good so I have overlooked the customer service issues I've had in the past- mostly with the girl that answers the phone and places the order. However, tonight there was grit in my lettuce and hummus (like dirt or something that you can hear on your teeth when you chew.) So, that is the last straw for me. I didn't notice until after I had paid that none of the people working there had masks on. The cook appeared to be eating while he worked. The girl that took my cash payment packed the pita bread and did not wash her hands in between or wear gloves. She wore a mask around her chin. The girl that answers the phone has a very hard time getting your order correct. They were not busy.

We ordered dinner and had it delivered with ASAP. I ordered the Gyro Plate and it had so much flavor. We ordered the Fried Cheese for an app they were really yummy and fresh. We used ASAP code LOCAL5 and saved money on having it delivered.
