I made a big mistake and I did not check the reviews before I bought my food. Don't waste your time and money going to this place. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate it came with rice and hummus the rice is so bland it tested like cafeteria rice, the chicken Shawarma was not seasoned and tasted awful and the hummus does not taste good at all. It looks like they got it out of a can and they forgot to put olive oil on top. I paid eight dollars for hard as rock tiramisu which obviously you could tell it was frozen and not fresh for that money I was expecting to get a fresh one I am sorry about I am trying to say one positive thing about the place but I can't

I don't like to post negative reviews, but this is an exception. I stopped in for a desert and ordered tiramisu. It was $7.15. Pricey, but I'm fine paying upscale for something homemade. IT WAS FROZEN. Rock solid. Seriously? First time here, so their other food could be ok, but even if so I'm not coming back to find out.

Another Lebanese restaurant worth trying! Arzi's has been a staple for Baton Rouge for a long time. They recently opened a new location in Baton Rouge after closing the government street location. Same great food! Plenty of seating inside. Wait service or you can order to go. The rice here is more of a basmati rice rather than jasmine. The chicken shawarma was really juicy. I also had the shrimp pasta. The shrimp is fried. In case you're not a fan of fried. This was my first visit at this location. Have to come back to try their desserts!! They looked amazing!! Quaint setting inside.

Arzi's--my history of middle Eastern food in Baton Rouge had the trifecta of Arzi's, Albasha and Serop's in competition with each other. A few years ago Arzi's seemed to have disappeared from Baton Rouge but I noticed this location last month and wanted to try it---the location is small but neat and clean and still giving a "new" vibe. The staff was polite and attentive during our visit. So, what about the food--of course I order the combo gyro/schwerma combo offered--IMHO, the overall portion is smaller than its competitors but the salad offered is larger. The taste is less flavorful and more bland than its competitors. That said, still tasty but with competition nearby, I mostly likely will choose competition more often than this location. But you should try it and see what you think.

My second trip to this location deserves another 5 stars. This time was better than the first time. I don't recall the pita being homemade the first time, but it was this time and wow! I ordered the filet and it was served with homemade pita slathered in a magnificently delicious garlic sauce. I hope I can order it like that again because I cannot go back without getting that again. The salad was fresh and full of the wonderful herbs and zaatar flavors. The hummus was like silk. They provided some fresh, home grown corn on the cob for us to try and it may not "fit the theme" but I would order that if it was on the menu, without a doubt. The filet was cooked to perfection! Don't get me started on the cute baby potatoes or the PRICE! The atmosphere is very inviting and intimate. The service was top notch. I will repeat, this is heads and tails better than the Arzi's of old! Go give it a try!!
