Artigue's Abita Market

Very rude I asked if I could place something on the counter the guy stated no then berated me in front of the other guest . I was mortified . I don't recommend this place unless they hire nicer employees . I would have been ok with no you can't leave anything on the counter but to speak to the other customers as I was walking away berating me was completely unacceptable . Kinda puts a spoil on this beautiful town!

Super cute little market. Hot plates had lots of delicious food at a decent price. Also decent wine and beer selection. Excited to live near such a cute little market.

The kitchen at AM is unbelievable! All items made from scratch and plate lunches....best on the Northshore. Boudin Balls are top notch as are all meat items they prepare. Do yourself a favor. You want REAL red beans this is the place. Made from scratch like ya momma use to when you were in grammar school. Best restaurant beans I've ever had and I've had em EVERYWHERE

Lunch selection is limited...they have what they have and it might not be the same today as yesterday... but oh my is it GOOD!! It's the usual southern type food... spaghetti & meatballs, smoked turkey, baked chicken, BBQ ribs, hamburger steak, etc ... then you pick your 2 sides ... green beans, mashed potatoes or cheesy mashed potatoes, carrots, rice, greens, etc...typical southern flair ... it's not fancy, but oh my goodness...IT IS GOOD!! But you need to get there early enough ... cuz when they run out, they run out & that's it for the day ... So when you walk in, take a right ... it looks like a buffet... they tell you what they're serving for the day ...you pick what you want ... they wrap it up & you take it to the cash register & pay for it like you would if you were grocery shopping ... it's a lot of food, so make sure your hungry & you won't regret it ... I never finish my meals, but you better believe I eat every last bite if it comes from Artigue's ... I had the turkey w/gravy, cheesy mashed potatoes, carrots & greens ...I'm not a much of a meat eater but I ATE IT ALL!! Sooooo good!

Small local business that is packed full of your food and drink needs. They have a good selection of meat that is nice looking. Good prices on wine. Small frozen section with Blue Bell. Small fresh veggie section, nice looking veggies. Aisles of canned and packaged food. Little section with blue plate specials. Super friendly and helpful people work there.

Neat place! This is the kind of place my Mom shopped when I was little. It smells of smoked meats in here- so GOOD!! I got my first pack of Abita Root Beer & Thunder Cheese, which looks like a homemade pimento cheese I make- can't wait to try! Bobby was most helpful and helped me carry all my treasures to car!

Awesome grocery store! It's so nice to visit a place that truly does have that small town feel and amazing customer service! The daily plate lunches are amazing! It's a perfect little place located in this perfect little town!

This is a nice place to drop in during a hot day. Lighting is slightly dim and it's bigger on the inside than you'd expect, so it's fun taking a few extra minutes to explore the selections of snacks and drinks. There's plenty of individually packed snacks, both sweet and salty. Lots of drinks to choose from as well as simple pantry foods (cereals, seasonings, canned goods, etc.), fresh meats, and deli meals. The place always smells of the deli. There always seems to just be one guy working in the front at a time (two if you're lucky, but always friendly either way) so it's not a place for someone who needs help with everything.

They had a good selection of food to pick from, but the store was small and unkept. The doors didn't work properly. However the "staff" (which was only one person) was incredibly nice and they were very quick and efficient.

They will prepare a lot more than what is on the catering menu on their website. We got half pans of twice baked potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cajun dirty rice, green bean casserole and Mac and cheese. Every one a winner.I've also had a number of things that they have available in individual containers. Haven't been disappointed yet.
