Clean, spacious, remarkably staffed. Very happy I was invited here today. My friend met the gents who own and oversee the place so then we had a dynamic guided tour. Lovely purposeful place with a heart for artists who want to see and create understanding and art that tells powerful testimonies.

After all the eating and drinking I did in one day, I was glad my friend who I met up with for the NOWFE suggest we walk it off by hitting the art galleries on Julia St. At this gallery, they were showcasing Chihuly's exhibit. His glass art are so beautifully made.

We went to see the Chihuly exhibit, and this was more like a mini-museum then what I would think of an art gallery. It was free to go in, although due to the delicate nature of the exhibits asked to hold backpacks at the front desk. The art was beautifully displayed, and had benches and chairs placed around so one could stop and admire. There was even a video showing his process for creating the glass, which just made me appreciate the complexity of what he was doing even more. There were other works on display, and yes, you can walk past the sales people's desk to see the works in the back.

This is a great gallery to visit in the New Orleans Art district. The staff are friendly and very low key. You can stroll around the gallery and take your time. There are usually several artists presented so you have some variety to view. If you like to go to galleries you will like this one.

Fantastic contemporary art gallery. So much to look at. I assume their shows change periodically so you may have to just take a chance and see if you like what they are showing. No matter what, though, I bet it will be thought-provoking and worth seeing.
