A must when visiting NOLA! All their cocktails are exquisite. Their staff and service top notch. Lovely atmosphere like you stepped back into the 1920s with jazz music to match.

This bar was once voted one of the top 5 bars in the country. They also won a James Beard Award for their Bar Program. It is very classy and kind of old school. They use locally sourced ingredients and make the syrups in-house, you will experience an authentic handcrafted cocktail here. The staff are very skilled and knowledgeable about each drink and are happy to make suggestions and substitutions if necessary. I ordered The Countess it consisted of Darjeeling Tea, Orange Flower Water, Meletti Amaro, House made Cranberry Cordial and I got Vodka instead of Gin, I don't like Gin. The drink was very good. Certainly a place to experience while in NOLA.

This is a must visit when in Nola. The band goes around and serenades the tables in a beautiful and classic restaurant setting. The food was good with many extremely delicious seafood options that were our favorite. The shrimp appetizer plate was okay, but the oysters and crab claws (in butter sauce) were delicious. They offer many entrees that you couldn't go wrong with choosing any. To top it off, they have a great selection of cocktails.

When in N.O you should never pass up Arnaud's French 75 bar. It's quite cozy so there may be a little wait but we've always been able to slide in. The wait staff is excellent. They are very knowledgeable about their drinks and this is the place to come if you want a proper drink. We had a few bites. Deviled egg (the mayo was prominent), Gougeres & soufflé potatoes. The deviled eggs were the only ones that were savory the rest was slightly bland. But it's true to French cuisine. The best drink, was their French 75 of course!!!! I had to make myself venture out to try their other drinks which were also good. I regrettably forgot the name of them, not because they weren't good but only because my focus has always been on their Frenchie. I would highly suggest!!!

I really appreciate the upscale, old-school ambiance at French 75--it creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for sipping on cocktails. While the drinks were decent and reasonably priced, they didn't quite live up to the hype. What really ruined the experience, however, was the terrible service. The staff was incredibly judgmental and, to my surprise, started gossiping and badmouthing a guest who had sat next to us shortly after they left. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and honestly, I couldn't help but feel they were probably doing the same behind our backs. The staff came across as condescending, which completely tarnished the vibe. It's a shame because the setting has so much potential, but the service really lets this place down.

On my last night in New Orleans, I decided to indulge in a solo dinner, craving some exquisite French cuisine. This beautiful restaurant, adorned with elegant chandeliers, set the perfect ambiance for my meal.I began with the escargot casserole, which pleasantly surprised me--it was different from what I expected but incredibly tasty. For my entree, I chose the duck breast, paired with a unique blueberry sauce that added an unexpected but delightful twist. To cap off the evening, a classic crème brûlée for dessert. It was a delicious way to end a memorable meal. I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

Our party of four had a very pleasant time at Arnaud's French 75 Bar. The restaurant was booked but we were able to get into the cozy and classic bar after a 20 minute wait. First we sat at the bar and then we grabbed a table when one opened up. Our server, a pleasant young woman who is a New Orleans native was very friendly and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation with her. I had a tasty Harvest Cobbler cocktail, served in a pewter mug, which I really liked. Other drinks in our group were the southern gent, Jungle Bird, French 75, Bloody Meridian and a St. Vincent. We all liked our cocktails which had so much variety. For appetizers we shared escargot, oysters, wontons and Bar D Eggs. They hit the spot and left us wanting more. Arnauds was a fun place just off of Bourbon Street and a heck of a lot classier than most places in the area.

What a great little find on my visit to New Orleans! The service was wonderful. Being from out of town, the bartender guided me to some of her favorites close by. It's a beautiful wine bar and the French 75 was fabulous and just what I wanted on my afternoon out in the city! I will certainly go back again when in town!

I thought I'd be safe from humidity in November...and I was wrong. As a result, I spent most of my week in New Orleans in my hotel room and didn't eat at any of the restaurants I went down to try. But I couldn't leave the Crescent City without trying the turtle soup at Arnaud's. And am I ever glad I did!Walking into the main entrance (Arnaud's has several dining options) was like stepping back in time. I explained why I was there to the Maitre d', who could not have been more solicitous. A true gentleman. He sat me at a table in the French 75 Bar and, although turtle soup is not normally served there, arranged with the waitress to bring me a bowl of the most delicious soup I have ever hadThe presentation is a feast for the eyes, as the soup is brought to the table in an individual-serving, metal tureen, decanted into the soup plate, and then finished with as much or as little sherry as you desire. The next treat is the aroma, which lights up your olfactory bulb and makes your mouth water. Its aroma was so savory that the woman seated next to me commented on how delicious it smelled. Nothing, however, prepared me for the layers of flavor within each spoonful. Beautifully balanced spices (none of them "spicy") accentuate the sweetness of the turtle meat and the acidity of the tomato base, with a richness and depth of flavor that has to be experienced to be comprehended.I look forward to my next trip to New Orleans (safely into Winter this time) and will definitely make another pilgrimage (or two!) to Arnaud's. Although there are several fine dining establishments in New Orleans, my guess is that, at best, they equal Arnaud's, but can't surpass it. The combination of ambiance, service, and cuisine is ne plus ultra. And, of course, when in Rome.... I eschewed my favorite Sidecar and opted instead for the French 75, which was a light, refreshing champagne cocktail. Definitely worth trying.

Our meal here did not disappoint. We had the escargots, crabmeat Karen, Pompano David and a side of Soufflé Potatoes which are a must! Everything was delicious and service was great. The main dining room is loud but in a good way- just a great vibe!
