Ape Cave A’ Vin

On a recent visit to Mandeville, my local friends brought me in here for a pre-dinner drink. From the outside, it's just a small looking dive, but the inside is really cute. It's dark a lit with string lights. The area that was a wine store is now an event space, so you could have a group party or shower or something in there. They have a nice menu of drinks, some more elaborate than others. The bartenders were very friendly and offered to make anything I could think of. I opted for a old fashioned as we were just starting the night. It was pretty good. We decided to sit outside on a beautiful evening. I will definitely go back to check it out again on a return trip!

If you are looking for a bar that would ruin your night this is the perfect place for you. Me and my husband been wanting to try this place for a long time but never had a chance to try it until lastnight because of our busy schedule.Mind you, we are ready to spend above $50-60 dollars worth of beverage because it's Saturday night. The bartender name Brittany was unnecessary rude to us. She ID us twice. We are both 27 years old. Why in the world would you ID 2 grown people twice and rudely say "not federal ID y'all need to go!" and raised her eyebrows. She did that in front of everyone. In front of the people sitting at the bar with us. FYI I have a federal ID. She probably doesn't even know the difference of federal to normal ID. We decided to leave and not make a scene about it. Why this business/owner of the place is tolerating this kind of behavior. If she doesn't like her job or doesn't like working with people, then don't ruin someone else's night. Brittany's behavior was inappropriate and I wouldn't recommend this place. People like us have a long busy week and looking forward to have a good weekend night. PLEASE don't ruin your night, there's other good place around the area that won't treat you like you can't afford $11 cocktail and rudely smacked it in your face in front of a busy crowd. If you're new to the area or wanting to try new place, this business and their employee is not worth your time.

This place feels illegal, but safe. Cozy yet colloquial. Cindy is the bartender. She is a dear friend. Treat em right.

The rudest bartender ruined our whole experience. She acted as though we were a complete bother to her and needless to say none of the six of us will ever be returning.

Joey and Lexi are more than just bartenders, they make you feel like family and are expert mixologists. This is best place to have a drink in Mandeville hands down. The people on here who have had bad experiences will likely have them anywhere they go, Buncha Karen's! Grapeful ape for the win!!

The manager who bartends is probably the rudest person I have ever met. Upon a few minutes after closing, he kicked out all of the customers who had drinks at the bar and completely disrespected our group by mimicking and arguing with us. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Please go to ANY other bar in Mandeville.

I always enjoy coming here. The staff are great and the cocktails are innovative and the best on the Northshore.

Soooo we gave this place another try last night. After horrible service five times, you would think they would have fixed the issues with rude bartenders. As soon as we walked in I was confronted about a review. She recognized me from a photo. The bartender refused to take my order and proceeded to yell at me and tell me off. So we will not be setting foot in there again. The bartenders name is Cindy. Rude and tacky yet again. The whole reason for reviews is to help fix the issues. Be very careful reviewing this place, they will attack you! I never post reviews unless it's really bad. So I do not recommend this place. Period. It's a shame such a cute place.
