This is my favorite gallery on Royal. Chris Roberts Antieau crests gorgeous one of a kind pieces that also are extremely witty. She has moved galleries since my last visit and they are still working on the final touches so I'm already looking forward to going back to see the new space fully utilized.

I just loved this unique gallery!I was lucky enough to be able to pass through here on Dirty Linen night and I was delighted by the type of art that Chris Roberts-Antieau has created here. The art here is really unique because the "paintings" are really all hand stitched. It's like someone created different art work quilts that tell a story and convey a mood. It's very unique and very interesting. Some of the art stands alone, and some of it tells a whole story like a quilted comic strip, of sorts. It's such an interesting way of creating art that the process itself must be fascinating.

I absolutely adore her artwork. The embroidery is so intricate and very beautiful. All the pieces i love are over 30K so out of my price range but she does have some pieces in the low thousands. One day i hope to own one! When you are walking along Royal St this is a must stop if you appreciate art.

The art scene in New Orleans is so different from the one in NYC. I never really got that into art. I think we need it, it's important, but it's not something that I ever really went out of my way to embrace. In NOLA art is more accessible, less elitist, and I chatted with one of the gallery organizers about that when I stumbled in here. The pieces here just floored me. I was lured in my James Browns Legs out front, and went straight to the quilt depicting the story. I had no idea any of that had happened, and Chris's work conveyed such an entertaining sense of humor and sarcasm, not to mention it was lovely work to look at. A lot of those tones come through in her pieces.

Loved this gallery do much that I went every day that we were in New Orleans. You could find something you missed in every picture with each visit. The story about James Brown's legs and art work to go along with it was fabulous. Each time I went there were different people working. They were all extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the artist and her artwork. Loved it. My only question would be about the taxidermy of the protected and endangered animals. How did you swing that?

This was such a memorable gallery that I had the luck to stumble upon during my short visit to New Orleans! The work is extremely well-crafted and visually complex, whimsical, and macabre all at once. There were a lot of pieces in this gallery space and the employee there was friendly. Wish I had some extra bucks to buy a piece or two!

This gallery was incredibly beautiful with some breath-taking work----however the redhead girl, who was the only person in the gallery at the time, refused to acknowledge my friend and I who were looking to purchase some art. We were the *only* people in the gallery. As an illustrator and art collector, I know how important it is to communicate with people who are potential supporters. Especially in New Orleans. I would love to give this gallery the highest praise based on the art being displayed, but if the people working here can't even look up and acknowledge potential buyers, then why would myself, or anyone else I know come here and buy anything?

So glad to have found this gallery while wandering the French Quarter. Simply put, this place makes me happy. Such wonderful fabric artwork with a touch of humor & an understanding of human nature. The gallery staff seemed to enjoy being there to share our experience. The whole space was filled with the quirky vibe of the artist, and it rubbed off on us. From the giant Christmas bell light fixtures and the waves up above, to the cool shadow box and James Brown's legs. Thought we were just going to duck in, and ended up spending quite a good while in this great place.
