They make some great desserts here along with some nice catering food. They have a huge crawfish bread and they make some beautiful looking holiday desserts. Their almond cake is really fantastic and might just be the best I've ever had. They make the bread for many restaurants in town so you might have already tried some of their delicious food without even knowing it. They do have limited hours and close earlier than many other bakeries so make sure to check their hours.

when visiting my dentist, I smelled this fantastic aroma from the bakery. I could not resist investigating where these smells were coming from. I walked down to suite 7 and entered. I had to try their Italian rolls and wedding cookies. Delicious. Plan on going back for more and trying their other baking delights.

After finding this on the internet as well as suggested in a NOLA Italian Group I am in, we placed an order. I ordered St. Joseph's "Zeppole", "anginetti cookies" (which at some bakeries since moving south are "wedding cookies") and cuccidati cookies (fig cookies). Oh ordered "St. Joseph's Bread". As we were getting our order together they came out with fresh olive bread with mozzarella. Smelled & looked delicious, so we got one. The "Zeppole" was not what I am use to (being from NY) but pastry was very good and was more of a homemade whipped cream on top and in. In NY its a custard in the middle of the "zeppole" Cuccidati's were ok. "St. Joseph bread" was really italian bread-but very good! Wedding cookies were ok, but dry. The fresh out of the olive bread..OMG! was so good we got in the car tasted it & ate the whole thing, which is why its just a picture of a piece I was eating lol. All the olives you see are throughout & threw the extra on this piece since my husband is not a huge olive fan (but sure did eat the bread!)

Worst experience. Very unprofessional and shady business. Stay away. My son wanted this beach cake for his birthday, I stopped in this place on a whim (big mistake). The place was closed, No big deal, but another couple who pulled up as I was getting in my car and assured me that the owner is on her way. That she is running late. The male gave me a business card which I thought was good enough. But the female insisted that the owner was coming and I should wait. She even called the owner on her way and even called the owners cell phone and told me she was only 5 minutes away and asked if I can wait. I thought why not. That was a big mistake. All these things should have been a sign. But I just wanted a quote and to see if was even possible to make this cake in a few days. I almost believed I was wasting my time but figured waiting a few more minutes wouldn't hurt. It was my sons birthday after all. Well the owner did show up a few minutes later with a van full of kids. She was courteous and apologized for being late and thanked me for waiting. I explain to her the cake I wanted and when. I showed her pictures as well. It is a beach cabana cake with a 2 tier cabana cake, and a single layer cake of the beach and water with a cupcake tiki on it. I explained to her that my son loved the water part of the cake. He had a beach cake (not as elaborate) last year and the water part was his favorite. She said she could do it and gave me a quote. I came back an hour later and ordered the cake as we discussed. I even texted her a picture of the cake (same picture I uploaded here) to her cell from my cell. I even explained to her that I was going to try to buy little trees for the props to put on the beach cake. She gave me advise on where to go to get these trees. I thought everything was good. Well when I went to pick up the cake, it was not what I ordered. It was just the beach house and cupcake. She put the beach and water icing on paper next to the cake. Who puts icicng on paper? Where did she think I was going to put the trees? Glue it to the paper? None of it makes sense. I told her all this and she gave me numerous excuses such as she didnt hear me say that the beach part was a cake (I know I told her and about my son loving the water). She then stated she couldn't tell on the picture that beach was a cake, she said it doesnt look like a cake. It is pretty obvious it is a cake. Ok so why didnt she get clarifications? She had my number and a simple text would have cleared this up. Her next excuse was that she would have to charge me more for the beach cake. I completely understand that and she should have told me beforehand. I did not know the beach cake wasn't included in the quoted price. I told her I wanted the 3 piece cake and she told me a price. There is no price menu hanging up to compare prices so I could have known that she was quoting me wrong. I was clearly upset and told her. She did not apologized, or offer something to help fix it or anything showing any remorse for her getting the cake wrong. The only thing she offered was to help carry the cake to my car. I had my sons party starting later that day and had no time to get another cake in that amount of time. I paid for it and left. I went to the store and hurried up and did my best to make the beach and water cake for my son. The worst part is my cake actually received a lot more compliments then her cake from the party goers who did not know it what had happened and that it was made by me. I overpaid on a mediocre cake that wasn't what I even wanted or. ordered. It doesn't even look like a professional baker who specializes in cake designs made this. It looks like something that my aunt who bakes cake for a hobby made. I will never go to this place again. Very unprofessional. I can see why I was begged to stay. Seems like I was quoted a price just to get my business. What a waste of $79.00. Be careful if you do business with this company. Not only are pictures required but maybe video yourself explaining what you want and send her a copy. Maybe she could it half right then.

Best macaroons in town! They are to die for. We drove from way uptown New Orleans to Metairie to experience the pure deliciousness that we have come to expect. The baked pies are even better than Hubig's! And the Italian bread is the best in the city. Thank you, Angelo's for such awesomeness!!!

Prices...There are no prices listed anywhere. You pick up a couple of things and it's $50.00. For what I paid for a couple bags of cookies and a loaf of bread, I could have ordered 10 dozen cookies from somewhere else, that are 10x better. Never again... Zuppardo's grocery actually sells Angelo's bread for less than what. Total rip off...
