Purple Indian has always been my favorite. What luck to see this in person. Gorgeous detail, Magnificent costume. A must visit.

An amazing glass sculpture that changes appearance as you walk around the sculpture because of the way the glass is cut.
My favorite painting on display!

What a hidden little gem! I originally came across this cute little gallery when the Dr Seuss exhibit was there. It was amazing to see his actual work! Old sketches and original pages! The staff was so friendly! They explained everything and showed me the gallery in the back with even more work! I grew up on this magical stories and it was wonderful to go back down memory lane in this quaint space with so many smiling friendly faces. The other art in the gallery is beautiful and is wonderful to wander around.

BEAUTIFUL ART BUT VERY RUDE & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went in interested in a piece I saw in the window but the owner was very rude & & would not acknowledge me when I was acquiring about the piece. Note for owner: don't judge a book my it's cover because I loved your art but your attitude cost you $.

I've passed this gallery a million times but never stopped in until last month. And why did I stop in? This gallery carries Dr. Seuss art AND they had a traveling exhibit of Dr. Seuss' hat collection. Y'all have no idea how much I wanted to try on a hat, but they were behind plexi so no arrests were necessary. The rest of the gallery is a whimsical mix of contemporary artists, like Peter Max. They have both small sculptures as well as paintings and limited edition prints. Oh how I wish I could afford a Theodore Geisel original.Customer service was great and the owner even got a piece out of their storage area for me to look at. I also appreciated that the gallery has a small bit of old signage on the brick highlighted in the corner window and framed by drywall. Art is where you find it after all.

We stopped by here today and found an AMAZING exhibit on the art of Dr. Suess. Wo knew that Dr. Seuss was an accomplished abstract artist as well as an illustrator? The gallery owner (Angela) was super gracious and showed us all the pieces and how they were distinguished from one another. In addition, she showed us where to find them online. Then, she took us through a back door, which was kind of James Bond-ish to another section of the gallery where we saw Peter Max stuff and some other great pieces. This is a WONDERFUL gallery with a unique collection of art by a gallery owner that is a very progressive thinker. Highly recommended!

I am SO glad that I stumbled upon this gallery before leaving New Orleans. I found it after noticing the Dr. Seuss gallery around the corner. While we didn't purchase any art, the staff was incredibly friendly. I wish we'd been in a position to take home some of the amazing pieces from Raymond Douillet and Eddy Stevens (among fabulous others), I'm just happy to have had the opportunity to see the work displayed. Take a break from the hand grenades and hurricanes to take the gallery in-you'll be so glad you did.

What a fascinating gallery! The range of work is stunning. From gorgeous sculptures of African women to very sophisticated French paintings. Even Peter Max is exhibited here. The staff couldn't have been sweeter, and their knowledge of the work was vast.Don't miss this one. It's truly a New Orleans gem.
