Alexander's Highland Market

the store is extremely clean and easy to find parking and safe ,the staff so friendly and clean but I wish they stock more specially items and local fruits and vegetables like whole food overall the place is great.

This is like local version of Whole Food and a family owned grocery store close to my house. Things I love: *convenient-there are a lot of grocery stores near me but this one is located right near 1-10 and Highland (and Old Perkins). It makes it super easy to run in and grab something. (Especially ice cream late at night )*It is always immaculate. Unlike other stores in the area, I have never seen this place messy. It always looks like they are about to do a photo shoot in the aisles, with perfectly stacked cans etc. *It is a paradise for people who choose to/have to eat with dietary restrictions. SO MANY OPTIONS for gluten free, dairy free, low carb, low sugar, vegan, organic etc. they have just about everything! *Amazing wine/liquor/beer selection. If they don't have it, they will work with you to order it from their distributor. Things I don't love:*tends to be slightly/moderately more expensive depending on what you're buying. I especially notice the price difference in the non specialty items (think name brand lunch meat, cheese etc)*I have yet to be impressed by the produce. SeveralTimes I've gone and they didn't have/carry what I was looking for. Overall, great option for groceries. I hope they embrace their draw to niche markets because I think it's their greatest asset!

I found myself to be in the area and decided to stop by because someone highly recommended that I visit. They have a wide selection of healthy and unique snacks that I picked up and can't wait to try! There is a rather large cooked foods section, but it was the sushi selection that caught my eye. I picked up a chef special roll, which was salmon, tuna, avocado, and crabmeat wrapped in cucumber and omg it was insanely fresh and had the best flavor. I would even say it's better than some sushi I've had at some restaurants in my opinion. I was going to enjoy the sushi at their nice little cafe, but the encountered two different employees who gave me attitude for no reason so I just ate it after I left. Overall Alexander's has a great prepared foods, pre-made food, snacks, crafts beers, and sushi selection. I personally wouldn't come back because of the lack of customer service from 2/3 of employees I've encountered. This seems to be a recurring problem from reading other Yelper's reviews as well. Despite that, I was thoroughly impressed by the selection offered, even though some things may be on the pricier side.

On a cross country road trip and basically "so over" drive up and drive through, you know, eating out of a bag or a box. We pulled off the interstate and saw a grocery store so we were just planning to grab some fruit and drinks to get to the next stop. I was instantly impressed with the cleanliness and everything looked so organized and fresh so we started walking around...that's when we found the deli area- hello. The gals working there were super helpful and the sandwich was like homemade only better because I didn't have to do anything but relax in the seating area and enjoy! Wish they had an Alexander's in AZ

catering order for Christmas Eve crsb jalenpeno poppers burnt and stunk had to through out! thought I was being considerate and called after the holidays would not give a credit because I waiting 2 weeks to report! list a customer over a 50.00 item! terrible

Nice selection in general, nice store decor, helpful staff, excellent wine selection, very tasty pre-made meals. A recent Shrimp and Andouille Risotto was outstanding.

Excellent place to shop or eat, great Cafe with awesome food, lots of beautiful produce, beautiful meats and a very nice wine selection.

I ordered the andouille cornbread dressing for $29.99. The container measured about 12x9x2. They gave me 1/2 an inch of food. I called to complain and the lady {said she was the manager} that I spoke with said she would have to call me back. A few minutes later she called and said her boss would give me a 10% discount or I could go a pick up more dressing. The amount of food in the tray was not worth 10% and that's a 20 minute drive one way for me! I returned the container for a refund.

We love shopping at Alexander's Market! They always have fresh produce available and a nice variety of seafood, meats and wines. They also carry a lot of other food products that you can't find elsewhere.
