I've never been to Aldi before, now let me tell you I f*ck with it. This store is a pretty good size, not all packed up like sardines in a can like Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's you gotta say excuse me every 30 seconds Aldi got way more space, the selection is good as you know yes the prices are really good my total came out cheaper than I expected so I was happy. It's also very bright in there lol, workers seem nice also

Review strictly based on Aldi's as a grocery store not the employees. What in ghetto hell tarnation is this place. Passing though slidell on a Sunday and decided to check out an Aldi's for the first time. Sundays are big grocery days for people. As we pulled up and I saw Walmart to the right i thought, I wonder how much business Aldi took from Walmart. I looked at the Aldi parking lot and immediately said something is off. The parking lot is oddly empty for 2pm. It first began with me needing to ask a stranger for a quarter to retrieve a basket. Quite frankly , this alone will keep me from returning to an Aldi's . Next, I wasn't expecting a blah warehouse feel inside of what turned out to be a small store. Produce selection wasn't bad, cheese selection was ok, but minimal reduced fat and fat free options. Unfortunately I had to go elsewhere for fat free fairlife milk, fat free cottage cheese, fat free sour cream and cream cheese. The only real price savings I saw was on my ground turkey Pattie's. Finally, go to check out and didn't realize you had to bring your own bags or purchase bags . So after the cashier piled all my groceries into the cart I had to bag them outside. If I saved 10.00 it was definitely not worth the experience or headache of having to still go to a second grocery store to finish shopping.

I don't like grocery shopping but I love this place. The food selections are different and the prices are good. So far I haven't been disappointed with any of my selections. I rated 4* because I have to drive to Slidell.

This place does not carry name brand groceries. You can't buy individual fruits and vegetables. They charge you to use the carts and you have to buy grocery bags. Not my kind of place

Loved it beautiful fruit and vegetables produce is also very reasonable in price!!! In fact cheaper than Wal Mart on most things. The bread and package items are good and less expensive. They are all very nice and ready to help. The cashiers have a stool to sit on so they don't have to stand up whole time. You have to bring bags or you can buy them there if u forget they are cheap to lol. And carts u put quarter in and when u put back u get quarter back. So that eliminates paying someone for those services & they pass savings on to customers. I was totally surprised!!! I love the lil store.
