Albasha Greek & Lebanese Café

I love this chain, I first ate at Albasha in the Baton Rouge area and it's become a favorite of mine over the years. The food, and staff at every location has been wonderful. The Ambiance is also a positive experience.

Albasha had a lot more traffic when they could serve drinks. I've been there several times. The one gentleman who is usually at the front is helpful and a quick server, but he's not alw there. The younger servers tend to be lackluster, apathetic sorts. But forget them, the food is really good. I've had the salads, gyro, falafel and the grilled chicken platter. Well seasoned, fair priced and with a diverse menu. There is space for families and lots of free lot parking.

Food was Great! I've been to Albasha in Slidell and Uptown and I never liked it so I had low expectations for this one but the food here was top tier! I went here almost 8 pm so there was no one but us. The waiter was very nice and welcoming as well.

Had never gone to this restaurant before, but decided to go on a Hangry search for Mediterranean food. It is a very nice, clean, bright place with lots of room between tables. The food I ordered, to go, was delicious and plentiful. I ordered to go at the bar,so the help I got was nice and prompt. I will go back to Albasha, will sit and relax and enjoy this restaurant and will feed my hypoglycemic body with their healthy food.

The food is delicious if you have a big group the family platter is where it's at. Service was also great and the food came out fast and hot.

Delicious! Gyro plate is super delicious, their meat is soft and melts in your mouth. Pita bread is perfect and their grecian sauce that comes on the side is sooooooo good. I love the kibbeh appetizer which also comes with Grecian sauce! Yummmmy! Everything we've gotten here is great. It hits the spot.

we were in the mood and really enjoyed our experience at albasha in baton rouge so decided to try the metairie location.we ordered the gyro plate, the eggplant and squash moussaka and both came with salad and pita.we asked for wheat pita and it was moldy - not a good start. the salads were decent and the meat was average. the moussaka didn't look nor taste like moussaka but rather eggplant stew overall better experience in baton rouge

We have been here twice and have decided to make this a regular. The service was great and the food great. My husband had the lamb chops (med well) and I had the shrimp kabobs. We loved the flavors of our main courses and the sides that were included.

This place was crowded for a midweek lunch. I had their lunch veggie platter; unlike the dinner version, at lunch you can't choose what's on your veggie platter, which was a bit disappointing. The eggplant I wouldn't have picked but ate anyway. However, the spinach pie, grape leaves, hummus, salad, and bread made for a rounded and fulfilling meal at a good price. It's very comparable to the nearby Hummus & More restaurant, and I'm not sure the hummus was any less tasty here. This restaurant is part of a pretty widely distributed local chain, and I wouldn't hesitate to drop in to another location.
