Pandemic swan song for one of my favorite shops...A&C has lost their lease so they will be closing in the next 10 days. And will shift to an online store while looking for a new space. I hope she finds one that suits her as well. Not only does this shop feature Maria's beautiful jewelry but she also takes consignments from other designers and features a host of fun, funky, earth-friendly items.I have bought gifts for myself and a host of family and friends here over the last 6 years. If you can get in before the doors are shut, almost everything is 15-30% off. I hope the next chapter is great.

Stopped in on a trip to New Orleans to check out this little shop. It was a great experience and was treated really good by who I'm assuming was the owner. Lots of really neat hand crafted merchandise. I bought a ring made out of old parts of a NASA space shuttle and my wife bought a nice handcrafted candle. Was a great experience!!

Professional, driven and talented New Orleans made and owned jewelry business. I met Maria at JazzFest. I spoke to her briefly about a custom piece. We did the normal New Orleans yes yes, I went to the shop shortly after and she kindly carved out some time for me on the spot even though it was obvious she was working on something. I went back with an amendment to the design and again, on the spot TLC. Maria is a sweet, ambitious and hard-working artisan and designer. Patrick seems cool 2.

NOLA is a place where shoppers from all over the world come to find unique gifts. It is expected that through most shop doors will pass you through into special little worlds filled with treasures of the highest craft and personality. Adorn and Conquer is the honey hole of honey holes in a city full of precious places and well it's in the Rink, boom. It is replete with evocative charms and discoveries that beg like puppies in a rescue shelter for you to make them your own. Maria there who works the metals like alchemists wish has created a place that, with her select friends - masters in their own mediums, offers a perfectly composed menu of adornments that sing the spirit of New Orleans. It is filled with eye grabbers like hand drawn silk shawls and music themed ties, high concept IPad cases and pretty, pretty ornate handmade wooden caches that like every offering there immediately shouts out their potential. There are huge antique screw forged into bottle openers. And like many things from Maria's hand, a smaller similar expression of a beautiful idea is presented with a complimentary price. The grand bonus is the ultimate affordability of this magic little shop. On Christmas I knew I had to go there. It was the only place on my list for my beloved. My friend who carried me there was happy to go into the fabulous bookstore next door to buy something for his avid reader. After I was wonderfully helped to find the perfect earrings my friend went to the bookstore looked around a bit then ran right back over to Adorned and Conquer to buy his perfect gift. Thank you Maria for making my beloved's Christmas so special. Adorn and Conquer is forever now my go to gift place. I'm sure you will feel the same.

Came across this family owned business in the Rink and found a beautiful handmade piece (ring) for myself and a rustic metal piece (money clip) for my fiance. The artists/owners make the jewelry right there in the shop - and they stopped what they were doing to share with me the inspiration behind each piece. What a delightful store and experience. If you have a chance check them out at Jazz Fest this year.
