Acquistapace's Covington Supermarket

The staff here was so extremely welcoming. We purchased 15 pounds of crawfish from the deli counter, not knowing that there was a separate restaurant counter. They accepted us into the restaurant anyways and allowed us to eat our crawfish, they provided drinks. They asked us where we were from. They talked to us for quite a while. They taught my less experienced friends how to open up the crawfish in order to compete with me who was bulldozing through them. Great atmosphere. If you're around the area, I would definitely stop by.

I love, love, love Acquistapace's, and *MOST* of their employees are so lovely, and so very helpful. Minus one star for the mean-spirited cashier today, who absolutely ruined our visit for no reason other than to be nasty. Because he could. We were super happy finding Veuve Clicquot's demi sec as well (sells out fast). At the register I dared to ask for a paper bag for the champagne, and the cashier gave a tsk and grabbed a full paper shopping bag instead. He then proceeded to throw a large roll of Amish butter in with the champagne bottle. When I tried to ask for a plastic bag to separate the butter (which was being dropped off for a family member) he snapped "YOU asked for paper", as if I had commited some sort of violation. I saw his hand was bandaged and figured he was likely having a bad day, so I mustered up as much of my British-ness as I could, with a smile and said the butter was being dropped off separately. He rolled his eyes and turned his back to me. Pathetic as it sounds, my feelings were so hurt, I could only peep a "Happy Easter" (genuinely). He must have mumbled something to the guy behind me because they shared a laugh, and I just turned and left with my tail between my legs. I was so embarrassed and hurt and I'm writing this 6 hours later because I just don't understand why someone would be so mean to a customer just trying to be nice. Being kind is free.

A true Covington jewel.Maybe the best (probably not BIGGEST, but....) wine and spirits section that I have ever seen.Don't look at two or three prices and think you can't afford shopping here....I can promise you that on certain items you will consistently save money here...meats are excellent and pricing is market or better.

Well, I usually enjoy shopping here because it's a pretty good store but today I was in sticker shock when I noticed the prime ribeye was costing $25 a pound. At the same time a prime strip steak was only $15 a pound now that makes no sense whatsoever, so what I did was I bought the prime strip and two small fillets for the same price as one prime ribeye go figure

Very cute grocery store. The lines are never long (at least when I visit) I've always been able to go in and out fairly quickly.

We were passing through and decided to explore the area. I'm so glad we did. I love this store. They have the best cheese selection ever!!! We plan on going back very soon.

This is a great local grocery store with a plethora of cheese and wine choices! There are also lots of local items with Italian flare! If you are not from Louisiana and just in town for vacation or passing through you should stop and visit! Pick up items for an amazing Charcuterie board and eat a nice picnic at the river or lake! We will be back next time we're in town!

I went to this store yesterday and picked up a muffuletta that are made at Central Grocery in N/O and it was great very fresh. The people that worked in the store were very helpful with the questions I had to ask. Can't wait to go back and do a walk about in the store.

They have good quality meats but always at the top of the local price range. I also buy Kemps Ice cream as they are the only store that carries it. If you like wine and spirits their selection is second to none. The bottom line is selective shopping but not a place where you load the cart.

The best grocery store for meats and wine that I have ever been to. I love the atmosphere and intimate feeling you get.
