If you're scrolling reviews trying to decide whether or not you should pull the trigger and book this tour, read no further. They have five star reviews on every website for a reason. Book it!We took a tour in late May with our family of 8. This was both our first time doing a bike tour and their first time doing a "family with six young kids" tour. Jeff hit it out of the park! They were so accommodating, even letting us borrow his sweet daughter's tag-along bike for the ride. We loved the ride through the historic neighborhood of New Orleans. At each stop Jeff fed us a bit more history in an exciting way that was interesting to all of us, ages 4 to 45 (the 2 year old was just there for the ride). My kids learned about shotgun houses, hurricane Katrina and its impact on New Orleans, the Mississippi River, Cajun vs. Creole, why everything is so colorful in NOLA, art/music in NOLA culture, and many many other things. Our tour ended with a stop at Lorettas, where we ate the best beignets of our trip (and we tried multiple!). The tour was so fun and engaging I could not believe three hours had already gone by.On our two week summer roadtrip, we took a lot of tours. This one was the most expensive tour (which is definitely a factor for us), but I'm so glad we did it. We got to see a side to New Orleans we never would have otherwise. Beyond the tour, we loved the bike ride itself so much I'm now home and scouring the internet for used adult and tag-along bikes so we can all ride around our own city.If you're looking for a kid-friendly activity in New Orleans that's fun for you too, you've found it. Two thumbs up to Confederacy of Cruisers bike tours!

We took the cocktail bike tour. It was so much fun and we got to see some of the French quarter through a local's eyes. Our guide, Danny, was great. We had 5 different cocktails and heard a little history as we went about the cocktails and New Orleans. Danny even arranged for a different cocktail for me at one of the stops because one of them had too much dairy. We had done the culinary tour last time with this company and that was also a good time. Next time we go, we might do both. I recommend doing the tours, especially the culinary, on one of your first days in town because you will get lots of tips on places to go. We did the tour on our last day and, sadly, didn't get to try some of the recommendations.

Four friends and I went on the culinary tour today and it was an incredible, unforgettable time. We learned a bunch about the culinary history of New Orleans, ate way too much amazing food, and had a lovely ride on a cloudy day. Genuinely one of the best ways you could spend the late morning and early afternoon in New Orleans!

Dang, the Cocktails in New Orleans tour really let the good times roll. For an all inclusive price of an $89 ($49 for a 3 hour tour and $40 for all of your booze and bartender tips) we had a great tour led by a NOLA native, Robert. We enjoyed the fact that when the tour started, we didn't have to reach into our wallet at any stop. Kept our hands free for the booze! Especially since the bikes were retrofitted with these cool cup holders that swiveled and turned as we went over the bumpy terrain of the city. One reason we booked with this tour group is that they specifically call out that these are small group tours. For this tour though they lived up to the small group expectation. So small in fact, it ended up just being my wife and I!The tour started a little rocky, at no fault to Robert. I guess it's been too long time since we were on traditional bikes... hah. But after a quick loop through Washington Square park and some sips of liquid courage from our first drink of the tour we were all ready to go.As the tour progressed, it was obvious that Robert was going to do as much as possible to make this a tour based on our wants/desires to learn. We're thankful, as he could have easily just followed a scripted tour. On top of that, our three hour tour ended up being an information and drink filled five hours, yet still laid back and never rushed.I highly recommend not only this tour, but this tour company as a whole. The staff was friendly and helpful, the ride was laid back and safe, the drinks were delicious and full of history, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.CoC, if you're reading these reviews, know that you've got an amazing and dedicated staff member with Robert.

If i could give 6 stars, I would! A coworker of mine highly recommended booking a tour with Confederacy of Cruisers, and I can't wait to recommend it to my friends. My fiancé and I booked the 3 hour culinary tour ($79 for 3 hours and 3 stops). Jeff was our tour guide and we couldn't have ask for a better person to bike around NOLA with! It was neat to go to restaurants off the beaten path from the typical touristy areas. Our 3 stops were at a Cajun restaurant, St. Roch Market, and Loretta's Pralines. All 3 stops were phenomenal, especially Loretta's. Loretta's has THE best beignets in NOLA, hands down. Better than Cafe du Monde. Jeff was extremely knowledgeable about the history of NOLA and the food associated with this wonderful city. It felt like we were getting a tour with a friend as opposed to a big chain company person. He recommended some awesome places to eat and drink at for the remainder of the tour. Just nice people. We hit some rain at the end of our tour, but that's okay! It was all about the experience. We will definitely be booking another tour (probably the booze tour!) when we visit NOLA again.

Whatever you do ask for Danny! I've been on hundreds or f tours as we travel in our RV across this beautiful country and my #1 tour was a historical bike tour with Danny. The guy knows people everywhere we go. It was a delightful tour and I learned SO much about NOLA from someone who truly spoke from his heart. We'll be back for more bike tours.

What a fun, unique way to see New Orleans! Jeff was our tour guide, and he was amazing! We went on a cocktail tour, and his knowledge of both the cocktails and the history of New Orleans made the tour so much fun! He was also kind, had a great sense of humor, and really kept our energy up after a long boozy bachelorette weekend. We got to try so many different types of drinks with a history in New Orleans, and got to see lots of neighborhoods, and cool bars around the city. I especially loved the stops to have a beer at the Mississippi River, and to have a cold coffee liquor drink at Molly's.Definitely give this place a shot if you want to have an amazing afternoon & experience the city in a new, unique way! 10/10!

My family had the best time on our culinary bike tour in New Orleans! Our tour guide, Jeff, was knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. He answered all our questions and provided a super fun tour. The three food stops were quite unique but each was fabulous. Highly recommend this tour with Jeff!

I'm sorry to have to write this as the reviews were so good. A friend specifically recommended Confederacy of Cruisers, but I do not feel we received the full tour or information and honestly don't think we got what we paid for. Truly a bummer as I always try and do bike tours in cities I visit. We got to the tour early as instructed and were informed some of our party was a Bachelorette. Our guide, Danny, told us the party had been larger but that some of the people had dropped out. There were 4 "civilians" and we ended up departing 10 minutes late waiting for the 3 in the bachelorette party. The tour was very informative BUT we missed out on a whole area (the Treme) that was specifically mentioned on the website because this tour ended up catering only to the soon-to-be bride who used to live in NOLA. Our tour route was changed because she wanted to go by her old house... and then for the last part of the tour we stopped at an eatery where the bride-to-be used to work. We stayed at this eatery for probably 30 minutes, so the last hour of the tour was lost to this. There was no mention there would be a stop for food or we would have planned differently. We had to request the group get moving so we could get back to the end point by the 1:30 advertised time.I get that that's a cool experience for the bachelorette but really she and her friends should have been on a private tour, and I blame the company for putting us into that situation. Also I think Danny did a good job before the tour became about the bachelorette locations instead of the Creole neighborhoods. When signing up, it should have been communicated that this tour was (at least originally) a special tour for this group, as well as that there would be a stop for food and that these specific changes would affect what we saw on the tour. We would not have gone on it had we known.
