Such a fun store. If you like old photography or cool film photos this is a fun place to walk around when wandering around NOLA. We stopped in on a whim and I am glad we did. My favorite pieces were upstairs. Cool shots from Antarctica or penguins. Definitely worth checking out. You can also marvel at how expensive some of the pieces are. Huge film shot from like 1905 costing like $145k!

Beautiful photography, the staff were very nice and explained some of the art we were looking at. Our favorite were the ones on glass

This place is a NOLA gem. I mean holy moly. This place is packed with great photography by the legends and pioneers of photography. I walked into this gallery thinking nothing of it and was stuck for an hour. This place is like a museum. Man oh man, the walls a filled with originals by artists I have come to love and admire. This is a must stop for anyone interested in Photography and not some cheesy photography of beautiful places. I mean really hard core classics and some new contemporary pieces too. The staff are great too. They took the time to talk about New Orleans even though it was apparent we were not buying anything. Great place.

A beautiful space with wonderful, rare images. The man behind the desk (who's name I disgracefully neglected to get) spoke to us about the photos, about New Orleans, about music, his sunflower colored house on Desire Street and whatever else came to mind. He gave us room and time to view their excellent collection and then even made dinner and music suggestions for our remaining time in town. I suggest you make this a stop.

This gallery is the type of awesome that I wish the Quarter had more of. The building is well worn, the inventory encyclopedic, the staff quite helpful. A long time ago I bought a Jock Sturges from them - I was still in the database and updated my info for them whilst shopping. Nice to see I made a good buy then.I walked to the second floor and was presented with the latest amazing Sandy Skoglund (would that I could afford her) and saw that a Joyce Tennyson Polaroid that I still lust for is still there. Perhaps when I graduate next year, if its still around that will be my gift to myself...They clearly get a LOT of looky-loos in there. Start a real conversation about photography, and you are quickly helped by very knowledgeable people.

I stop here every time I'm in NOLA.I think of it as more of a museum than a gallery. Here you will see one of the most impressive collections of photography you could ever come across. Absolutely beautiful and amazing pieces.I am particularly enthralled by the older pieces under cloth...it's a rare gift to get to see these pieces.

A WORLD CLASS Gallery! Great Art in a genuine French Quarter setting, with warm, welcoming, knowledgeable staff. It's worth a trip to New Orleans just to visit A Gallery For Fine Photography. We never fail to be enthralled, mesmerized and inspired. If you love great art, you must see what's there. And if you love great photography, this is the BEST of the BEST!
