I was a little wary of this place given the reviews, but after trying it I cannot even fathom someone not having a good experience here! It was AMAZING, and I do not say that lightly.Perhaps it's been marketed incorrectly? This is an absolute perfect place for a tapas/shareable family type of dinner. Large portions that can be divided up among a big group, and everything was delicious! The Bacalhau à Brás is the first time I've had salted cod, and it was a wonderful potato-y cod casserole that was so good! The absolute stars, though, and it isn't even close, were the Piri Piri Chicken and the Duck Arroz. The chicken was moist and juicy, with a wonderful smoky grilled char and a fantastic sauce. And the duck? Honestly the best duck that I have ever had. It flavored the rice so well, I would have eaten the entire thing if I hadn't have already stuffed so many of the other dishes in my mouth. And our server, Lauren, was so sweet and fun, it made it an even more enjoyable experience. This restaurant is unbelievable, and how anyone has had a bad experience here is unfathomable to me. I cannot wait to come back and bring friends, I know they'll be as blown away as I was!

This place is a vibe. Great music and wonderful lightning in the ham bar. I wish I could say the same with the food and the service. Similar to one another, it started off great then trailed off in the end. We ordered the croquettes, tuna crudo and bread and butter to start. The croquettes were fine but were very soft to where it disintegrated when cut into. The tuna crudo was fine The star was the bread and butter. The peri peri butter was fire but the bread choices were questionable. One bread was toasted and warmed while the other two were not which caused them to be dry. My wife ordered the Manila and pork clams while I had the octopus which was highly recommended from our server. The pork and clams were okay. They were lacking flavor or even seasoning. The octopus was not "cut it with a spoon" smooth as describe by the waiter. It was tough and had almost no flavor. The broth, white sweet potato's and pablano could have saved it if it was seasoned more. We finished our meal with a pineapple dessert which like the service, took a while towards the end. We had forgotten we ordered it since it took awhile. The dessert was delicious but definitely not worth the long wait it had. Overall, it's a fine place for small plates and sides, but would not come back for entrees or drinks.

New Orleans welcome to some high end Portuguese cuisine! I'm from emerils home town in Massachusetts and really does capture and elevate some of these traditional dishes. I will warn you lots of small plates and bigger plates to share family style. We had 9 people and split all the food pictured and we had enough for everyone. The food was outstanding, the service was amazing. Friendly staff never felt we ever had to ask for anything. Definitely a place to check out. HIGHLY recommend the duck rice it was so flavorful I would eat that every day if I could

Brand new restaurant in the CBD by Emeril and it brings with it all the beauty and flavors and style and deliciousness you'd expect from one of his restaurants. It's a Portuguese concept and I love the wine options and the sardines that come in this really pretty dish. Everything about this place is just carefully crafted and they're still finishing construction. They're planning on having a private back room with limited seats and a speakeasy vibe. And most importantly this place will be open late! What an awesome addition to the neighborhood and I officially have a new favorite wine bar

This restaurant truly transports you to Portugal. The ambiance was upscale but super close to downtown areas. I ordered the Patatas Bravas and the Bacahlau. The Bacahlau was super similar to what you'd find in Lisbon. Lisa my server was great checking periodically and even recommended I take a visit to the open concept kitchen and carving station in the back.

Overall another great Emeril restaurant with a Portuguese flair. We tried a lot of the menu as it was our first time. All of the dishes are really geared towards family style so I recommend going in a group so you can try more dishes. The highlights for us were the whole fish, paella, and porco alentajana. I would also like to comment that when we went they had only been open for 2 days yet the service was fantastic, just another example of what you can expect from a top notch restaurant group. There are not many that can pull off such a thing week one of opening! P.S. I hear there is a speakeasy inside that's coming soon!

I've dined here twice, and while the restaurant's ambiance is absolutely stunning--a solid 10/10 for the decor and atmosphere--the food has been consistently disappointing. The dinner menu falls far short of expectations and does not justify the high price point. That said, the flan is exceptional--easily the best I've ever had. If you go, I'd recommend skipping dinner altogether and just stopping in for dessert and drinks to enjoy the beautiful setting.

You gotta listen to the waiters really carefully, Damien was great along with all the other staff. The menu is not easy to order from. It's more like a table order for the group not individual plates. We liked the appetizer beef and tomato smear on bread kinda thing. Didn't like the whole fish every bite had bones and didn't have much flavor, chicken shrimp rice plates was really good the duck rice not so much. The Beef was also very good. The price for all of this was a bit high! So the staff was great we just didn't like the concept or the food that much.

We stopped by 34 just after 4:00 PM, and when we walked in, no one was at the door. I noticed two bartenders at the bar finishing up, and while they saw us, they didn't say a word--just gave us a look as if we were bothering them or even trespassing. After a few seconds of awkward silence, I asked, "Too early?" One of them simply responded, "4:30." That was it.I pointed out that their website says 4:00, not 4:30, but they offered no response--no apology, no attempt to accommodate us, nothing. Their attitude was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unapologetic. We expected better from a restaurant associated with Emeril. Hopefully, they either update their website or improve their staff's attitude. We won't be returning, but I wouldn't want other customers to feel as unwelcome as we did.
