225 Crab is an excellent establishment. They have a staff that cares, a kitchen that can cook, and an atmosphere that pops.Food - 9Ambiance - 10Service - 9Cleanliness - 10Food: We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp, the Shrimp Ceviche, the Charbroiled Oysters, and a Cucumber Margarita. Everything came out delicious and fresh, but the oysters were the star of tonight's show. My only suggestion for the oysters: bring more bread!Ambiance: It becomes apparent as you walk through the main dining area that the designers and creators of this experience have a real passion for their work. The interior is a work of art.Service: On another note, the service was kind and timely. The manager even came to check on us a few times to ensure our experience was up to par.Cleanliness: 10/10 for a reason!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishesShrimp Ceviche, Char-Grilled

There was sort of weird smell upon entering but after sitting down and getting acclimated, it's just a smell common to a seafood restaurant to be honest. The customer service was absolutely fantastic and Alex was an outstanding waiter. You can tell the entire staff is concerned with the experience of patrons. Some of the tops of the paper towel rolls were stained and were a turn off.I ordered a seafood boil with mussels and shrimp at the juicy special flavor spicy spice level. Firstly the seafood itself was very fresh and honestly bigger pieces of shrimp and mussels than what fiery crab serves. My friend also ordered a seafood boil juicy special medium with no seafood and only the sides in the sauce. 225 Crab's sauce is pretty flavorful and even has visual herbs in it that you can also taste to distinguish their boil from other places. However, their boil sauce is very very salty regardless of the spice level and the salt becomes more prominent the colder that your seafood boil gets. 225 crabs's spicy level is not as spicy as fiery crab's spicy and I actually appreciate that. The Mr. Burger was really good and proves that they have a versatile menu. They have a good happy hour special with buy one get one daiquiris, but I wish that they had some cheaper mixed drinks on the menu in the $5-$-10 range. 4/5 on Yelp I would honestly rate a little lower like 3.5/5 based on the food but Alex was really a great waiter.

Huge restaurant with plenty of seating. The inside is really nice and clean. The bar area is nice as well. I went on a Saturday evening and it was pretty empty. I think they need live music or something to compete with the other seafood spots. The seafood bag was okay! I didn't like the potatoes at all. I've had better in Baton Rouge. We also went around happy hour and got 2 for 1 daiquiris, pretty good. We tried the boom boom shrimp but they tasted like something out of the frozen section. Not sure if I'd return.

Located in the former Golden Corral location which was the former Ryan's Steakhouse location should suggest this is a large space and yes it is---the new owners have done a fabulous job with the layout to make it feel more comfortable and cozy but it is just a large space so you need to have a lot of customers to feel it's busy. On the other hand you do have a lot of privacy in the booths and unlike the former tenants, there's a nice and large bar area if this place can get going with a happy hour or regular crown to have a beer or two. Okay, what about the food? They have two similar competitors down the street and the other way they have the newly open Ombu. I ordered shrimp pasta and while it was tasty, the pasta had too much cheese/grease that I was impacted overnight---but when eating it I enjoyed it. My party ordered an octopus dish and another a fish dish---both presented very very well but overall the portion was small---but if you are paying $15-$17 for the entree I guess it is reasonable in todays climate. We did not order a steamed seafood dish but other tables around us who did finished their plates. The server was new and nice and attentive although inexperienced ---she continually came up to us and asked how are things --maybe 15 times---since we always said fine--she then departed--she had nothing else to say.

To begin with the restaurant is huge on the inside. It seats over 300. It is decorated over the top in sea related decor, which to some was a bit over done. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday nite and there were only a dozen cars in the parking lot. The host was very nice and seated us in a booth. The waitress 'Savana' was great at answering our questions giving us suggestions and taking and bringing our orders. The place has a fun atmosphere tho again a bit over the top, lots of tv's over the double sided bar and they offer a full bar plus a great menu of fun drinkconcoctions. The first surprise course was a cup of seafood broth with shrimp, "crab", and a mussel which they served as a free starter. The broth had absolutely no taste, we couldn't figure out what it was supposed to taste like, but it was a unique start. We had 1/2 dz of the charbroiled oysters which were done well but very small. One of our courses was the catfish plater which consisted of a nice big piece of catfish and lots of French fries. The other course was the popcorn shrimp with again a nice amount of shrimp and a plentiful supply of fries. Unfortunately the preparation of the food was just average. Both the catfish and the popcorn shrimp were over cooked. The dipping sauce for the shrimp was mediocre at best. It was supposed to be a sweet and sour sauce - it was neither. The fries were nicely cut and seasoned but they were soggy. I have to say the pricing of the food and drinks was good for what u are getting but the quality of the food prepared is going to have to be raised to a higher level. I'm always game to try a new restaurant and since this one hasn't been opened too long I'll wait a couple of months and give it another try. That being said for a restaurant that is that large if the parking lot is any indication of how they are doing that will be indicator as to how they are progressing. I would love to see them succeed we need a good seafood/mexican restaurant on this side of town. I wish them all the best.
