1921 Seafood

Went here tonight because it was one to my hotel and had good reviews. I think I would have really liked it but at 6:30 they were out of almost everything I asked for...Gumbo? outAny soup? nopeRoast Beef? NahI decided on blackened redfish. Salad that comes with my meal? Nope. Out of lettuce. (Gave me a piece of corn instead)Blue Cheese dressing to dip my fries? No. Out of that too.I ended up with a bizarre meal without the things I wanted. On the plus side, server was friendly and blackened redfish was adequate (seasoning was not as strong as my liking. I found it bland.)One and done.

Awesome waitstaff, great atmosphere, and some of the best seafood on the bayou! If you're looking for a family-ran joint with the good stuff, this is the place! 1921 has never done me wrong.

Stopped here on my first night ever in Houma, and super glad I did. Lionel's raw and chargrilled oysters are as good as I've ever had anywhere. I follow this up with a couple lbs of beautiful late season crawfish. Perfect dinner and great first impression to this gem of a place.

Talk about Louisiana seafood, great ambiance and amazing service. We came out to 1921 with no expectations but hankering for raw oysters. We ended up with raw oysters, grilled Oysters, Calamari, gumbo and this big plate of fried oysters, shrimps, fish and fries. Needless to say, there were no leftovers but we tried.I recommend this little piece of Louisiana charm and keep supporting those affected by Hurricane Ida...

Ate here 2 nights in a row while I was visiting with family in Houma. First night the food was wonderful. 2nd night, it was good flavor still, but shrimp was a little over done since it was the end of the night, would still go back though because the food and service is definitely worth it. Only suggestion is to not use mustard in the soft shell crab batter.

Crawfish? Damn good. Fried shrimp? Damn good (prob needs little more seasoning though but that's just me, still great though), fried soft shell crab? Amazing. Service? Pretty good. Ambiance? Not too noisy, easy to have a conversation.

Loved this seafood spot and the team working was so personable! The quality of the seafood was beyond what I anticipated and the hospitality was just a sweet icing on the cake, I can understand why it's loved by my local family!The crabs and shrimp were cooked perfectly; full of flavor and extremely savory. This was my first experience with After the Boil Soup and I was not disappointed. It's a soup that is made up of the all the fixings from the bottom of a boil and they drop it in a creamy goodness of a concoction. Finger lickin' good!!The chargrilled oysters were also very good, I just have a personal preference of not having bread crumbs on top of it!Highly recommended and would absolutely keep coming back when we visit! Thank you all for the wonderful service and for practicing social distancing in the restaurant!

Had a great meal here. Had been several years since I had eaten here. Great restaurant and the food and service was outstanding. If you get a chance to eat here when you are in Houma, you won't be disappointed.

Our waitress Kristy was awesome. She food was good and the service was amazing . I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I would also recommend the waitress

Oyster on half shell were awesome! Fresh and salty. Had the Trash Basket. All fried seafood was great. Not fond of the catfish. Still had silver skin on some of the portions. It needs to be thinner filets for me. All in all pretty good. Definitely will return. Friendly staff. Perfect Cajun setting.
