New Orleans Bay Seafood

I love this place .. I get my seafood here .. mainly blue crabs .. crabs are priced by the dozen in Jersey where I'm from so this price per lb is new to me .. and they let you pick ur own out of the tub .. love that ! I'd give 5stars but imma need the prices to drop lol

Well where do I start...I came to indulge in one of my favorite foods: seafood while I was down here for a quick vacation in Atlanta to visit a friend. I haven't been back to the Atlanta area since 2017. I use to work in Clayco (if you know you know) and have been here years ago so my friend took me here to try them out after all these years. Now I must say I'm glad we got there when we did because it was getting closer to closing time and people just kept coming in! So now on to why I gave them only 3-stars for a couple of things that happened. First off the prices of seafood has gone up tremendously over the last year or so. These prices in Georgia are the same as the prices in Virginia which is mind blowing! I'm thinking I was going to see some cheaper prices...lol not even! I'm like well damn am I really in the south? But I wanted what I wanted so we ended up splitting the bill. So this is what we got if I can remember correctly because I was down there on (5/14/21).A combo meal with 2lbs of crab, 2lbs of "large" shrimp, 2lbs of crawfish, a pound of clams and mussels, potatoes and corn. This comes with a very spicy seasoning and melted butter on the side. Now don't get me wrong the seafood was cooked and seasoned perfectly so no complaints there. The issue comes at the price. I wish I would have took a picture of the actual menu but I do have my receipts. The total came up to $160 which my friend who I was with was like "WTF"! Me not thinking I just went ahead and paid. Because there was a wait we went back to the car. Then I started thinking about it and after doing the calculations the actual price was around $100 with tax!! Yes I was overcharged by almost $60!!! I should have known he would slip up because he was acting really antsy because he was ready to close and leave out. So you already know we went back to the kid who took our order and he realized what he did after apologizing and promptly started the refund process with no problems. Thank God my friend was in his right mind because I would have been out and extra $60! So after waiting like about another 30-mins we get our food and heading to his house. So after putting out all the seafood goodness on the table we couldn't wait to dig in!Now the only compliant I have about the food is that the misleading of the "large" shrimp which I have a picture of the actual cocktail size shrimp that was in the combo. Now don't get me wrong I would definitely come back and get seafood again from here, but would make sure I pay close attention to the prices and not come toward closing time. There was a lot of upset customers who wanted food but was turned away because they was closing. Until we meet again....

My first and last time here. Called in an order for a shrimp Po boy and when I picked it up it was cold, shrimp bread and all. Guy inside tried to tell me it was cold because of the mayo... I'm like cmon really. So he claimed to fix it only for it to be the same thing! Not only that the shrimp was stale and had a funny taste. Bread wasn't fresh! Fries... forget about it... y'all want fresh seafood go to Stevens on 85! Always fresh and cheaper... thought this place being close I'd give it a shot, well shot fired. Boom They need to change the name and not disrespect NOLA LIKE THAT...

Ordered 8lbs of crawfish today right before it closed. Got my food almost an hour after but thats not the problem. The problem is that ALL the crawfish is bad. Took pictures and videos opening them. I couldnt eat not ONE crawfish because 90% of it was completely BLUE. This can not be normal. I have a picture of my recipe which i paid $23 with card and the rest Cash.

The food was horrible & way to spicy, I even told them not to make it spicy... Dirty shrimp, watery, no flavor but spicy ness .. Don't waste your money here

MESSED UP their 8lb Cajun crawfish- that junk had me and my mama absolutely dying from the heat and flavor. Amazing, gonna eat there again, gonna try their crab legs next time.

I love this place but they played me today with all these scraps in my crawfish. I had a pound worth of legs and only a few whole crawfish

The young man in front at the register flat out lied to me and told me they didn't have any crabs in the back and the owner came out and shared with another family who was there for the same item....that they did have crabs.

Honestly, I wouldn't rate this at all.. BUT the past couple time, me and my family have been getting crawfish from here. First, they rush and don't let the crawfish sit in the broth for it to soak up the flavor. So it doesn't have flavor at all when the place is being rushed. Secondly, my father in law had found grass in the crawfish and it wasn't clean thoroughly. Last, we have found a top water bug when I was cleaning the left over crawfish at the very end. I was literally about to throw up because me and my family did not even notice there was a bug in the crawfish. Total waste & nasty.
