Per a comment related to this review, my review was a little harsh (since the problem was less an issue with the theater than it was about Ticketmaster). I've updated the review to reflect that. However, the issues I had are still relevant.

Small intimate theater. I saw Michelle Wolf there. I like that there's a bar in the theater. I don't like how close the seats are to each other. Very squished.

We went to the Neptune Theatre to see Margaret Cho. The location is easy to find, but parking was a little difficult. It's located in the University of Washington area and in walking distance of several eateries. As long as I have lived in Seattle, I had never been here. It's an older theater, but rather than old, I rather like to say it's classic. it's very clean and the staff is very friendly. Even the security people were very nice and friendly. The bathrooms were clean and upkept. We were hungry but went to the show first because we wanted to make sure that we didn't miss the show. Luckily, they have a snackbar with popcorn and candy. We got some sodas and popcorn and candy. My husband went to the bar for a drink and he said that it had a pretty good selection of alcohol there. I think the next time we go there I may get an "adult beverage" instead of a soda.We had seats in the front row balcony and we had a great view of the stage. I would definitely try to get seats there again. We all had a great time there and I would totally go back there again to see another show.

A fantastic theater next to the U-District light rail! All of the staff are very friendly and the venue is clean. There are a variety of snacks (the popcorn is delicious) and bar service with several options. As far as the seats, it's a tight squeeze but not too bad and fairly comfortable. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house as it is well planned out. Can't wait to go back and see more shows!!

Neptune canceled "An Evening with Bebel Gilberto" and has not yet offered refunds. TicketMaster won't give me my refund because it says Neptune hasn't allowed refunds yet. This is bad customer service.

This is a very cool space with horrible acoustics. The worst in Seattle by far for a venue of this caliber. I've seen 3 rock shows there in the last few years and all sounded terrible. It's not the PA or the guy running the sound, it's the room. You can't just put a PA in a big empty space and call it a venue. You have to do acoustic treatment as well. Fix your acoustics or stop booking rock shows.

Bar staff was professional, the guy working the "ID verification process" was a complete jerk. We get it you have a very, minor specific power, buddy. I'm 52, by the way trying to refill my 18 yo sons coke. Take it easy, pal! He was no where to be found on the first round...Happy Easter and rock on Queensryche!

The venue is great, the acoustics are pretty good; but I really did not appreciate the rudeness of the staff. Not only were the incredibly pushy and impatient with guests, but they were quick to kick anyone out instead of supplying a couple warnings for small instances. It made the show unenjoyable and overall, a waste of money.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The place has a cute, old charm to it, but that has been ruined by modernity. The restrooms are gender neutral. No man wants a woman walking in on him using the urinal. No woman wants to pee next to a man taking a dump. This goes beyond the trans issue, as nobody knows what to do since the restrooms are "all gender". My husband overheard men complaining about this in the restroom. The restrooms with urinals were mostly men with women walking in and awkwardly leaving. The ones without urinals still had men just using the stalls. There is NO safe space for women there.
