The protein chocolate peanut butter smoothie has me in a chokehold. I kid you not, I've stopped by several times in one week for this smoothie lol. It's that good. This drink is NOT for people who like super sweet drinks. Because it's far from sweet. You have the option to add protein. I always opt for the vanilla protein. The space is clean. Staff always makes my drink fast. The only thing I wish for this store is to stay open later. Majority of other locations in sd stay open until 8. This one usually closes at 6

Don't tip until you try it. I asked for "not too much agave" and it was completely ignored. The $13 bowl was so sweet I had to throw it away. I think the young lady who took my order did not bother to tell the guy making it that I didn't want it too sweet. I have been to several of these juice bars throughout California. This one was the worst. The bowl was essentially a watery soup - not a thick smoothie (they left it in the blender too long).Management: Please train your staff to listen to the customer's request - it's really not that difficult. Also, the smoothie bowl should come out cold and thick, not watery.

My friend and I came here after our morning walk. There is plenty of parking available in the lot. The servers weren't the friendliest and very unwelcoming when we walked in. The restroom had no paper towels and no toilet paper. I mentioned it multiple times to the workers and they ignored me and did not budge to put anything in the restroom. In terms of food, I ordered the banana berry açaí bowl and was very unimpressed. I got it with peanut butter and the amount they give is tiny. The açaí itself seemed very watered down and lacked flavor. Will not be coming back to this place.

New smoothie spot in the area! I feel like we needed this as there are realistically just a small handful of other health-conscious smoothie big name companies in the immediate area... at least that I know of. I will tell you right now that one of the important things to note right off the bat about Nekter is that they emphasize their housemade cashew nut milk and use it in the majority if not all of their smoothie and bowl recipes. If you have a tree nut allergy, however, there are a handful of bowls and smoothies that use coconut water as a base as well if that's something that you are able to have instead of nut milk, or you can simply try something off their juices menu which are also packed with various raw and nutritional ingredients. So this is definitely a dairy-free and plant-based forward type of smoothie joint. That being said, this probably explains why it's a bit more pricy than other smoothie spots. If you want something a bit more simple or cheaper, you can probably check out any other smoothie place but Nekter's got you covered if you're a PB&J, Acai, Almond Butter, coffee, protein smoothie fan like me. Also highly recommend downloading the app if you see yourself being a regular, lots of great deals that soften the prices of products at times. And i thinkkkk getting a free smoothie or bowl after your first purchase is still one of the deals available so take advantage while you can!

Knocked off a star because this place is crazy expensive (e.g., each topping, depending on what it is, is roughly $1-$1.50 each). Nonetheless, if I want something very healthy and fresh, I'll come here. Nektar has so many options to choose from--smoothies, smoothie bowls, açaí bowls, soft serve, etc.! This location also isn't busy like Jamba Juice, so if you want to save some time on waiting, go here!
