I recently stumbled upon the Neighborhood Speakeasy in San Diego, and it's like finding a secret stash of hip-hop gold in the heart of the city! From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped into a chic, intimate oasis that would make even Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole feel at home. The vibe is pure magic. The decor is as sleek as Drake's rhymes, and the atmosphere is as smooth as a Nas track. This place truly brings a unique and refreshing twist to the San Diego nightlife scene. Now, let's talk about the drinks. The bartenders are like mixology maestros, crafting cocktails that are as inventive and polished as Kanye's best beats. Each drink is a work of art, perfectly balancing flavors that hit all the right notes. Whether you're sipping on a classic Old Fashioned or trying one of their signature concoctions, you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a spot that combines the chill vibes of Pacific Beach with the trendy elegance of Gaslamp Quarter, the Neighborhood Speakeasy is it. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some top-tier drinks in a cozy, laid-back setting. This speakeasy is a must-visit for anyone in San Diego who appreciates good drinks and great vibes. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their impressive cocktail menu. Five stars all the way!

The macaroni is basically macaroni with crushed Doritos on top of it charging you $14. Other than that funny detail, it was very creamy and yummy. The blooming onion has little to no flavor when you bite into it. It tastes like textured water. The ranch is quite amazing in love with it. The fries are delightful. Either the cocktails are quite strong, or I have a low tolerance, 2 1/2 drinks got me. This isn't the place where you would sit down and converse with each other. The music is really loud and it's hard to hear each other. Almost everyone that dined their, look like they got off from their corporate job and trying to blow off some steam.

This is a cute lights dim bar/ restaurant I loved the food here . We got the Onion Blossom so delicious it's a must try . We came inside looking for the two speakeasy's located inside which are the Noble Experiment and Young Blood we were fortunate enough to get into Youngblood and we loved it. While waiting we had some drinks at the bar . After we got done with our experience at the speakeasy we came here for a late night snack. There is no food inside the speakeasy's so for food this is the place. The service and food were 10/10 we enjoyed our time here . I loved the vibe ..I would definitely be back when in the area .

Neighborhood is a great local bar in East Village! It has a speak easy vibe but a local feel. The ambiance is classy and the drinks are delicious. There is fantastic variety of beers on a constant rotation. They have had my favorite beer Pliny the Elder every time I've been there. You can also purchase bottles of Pliny the Elder to go. I haven't tried the food or the small speakeasy in the back yet, but they are both definitely on my list. The only downside is that the bar gets so busy it is hard to have a connection with the bartender. Overall great local spot!

I've never been to a speakeasy so I was really excited for this. We waitlisted hours prior then at 11pm, 6 people were ahead of us but an hour had passed and we still weren't in so I left. But my friends stayed and said it was too loud. One of them is from NYC and loves speakeasies, I believe they originated in that region, so he was saying it's very different from NY. But we did sit at the main room, ordered drinks and food. Burger was good. Loved them dimmed warm lighting. Very cozy vibes. It was relaxing. Music was too loud to have a conversation, we were yelling over the table until we gave up lol it was chill. But def needs lower Music, or have the volume spread out. I like how some bars when there is music you can still converse. Clearly we're not just there for food and drinks, we wanna socialize too.

The ambience in here is everything. They don't take reservations, it's a first come first serve place, so get there early, especially on a weekend. We enjoyed all of the food that we ordered! We ordered the Bolognese, pierogies, burrata plate and brownie cookie dessert. The drinks were refreshing, but nothing new. The service was great, even though they were really busy. They checked up on us frequently and were very kind and accommodating. I had been here one other time, but only for their speakeasy. It's in downtown, so parking is hard.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Frank. We found a table quickly and so began our evening at Neighborhood. This was our first time and based on the experience and the food, we will definitely be back. Something else I enjoyed very much, the vibe and all the little details in the glassware, the napkins, everything. If you're looking for a fun place to go for a date night, I highly recommend the hood.

I spent Easter 2024 weekend in San Diego, which is one of my favorite places to have a weekend getaway. There are so many options to choose from and I'm glad we decided to go to this location. The ambiance is a hipster/speakeasy style which is so up my alley. The service took a while because it was crowded and it is not a huge location, however the bartenders were hard working and friendly despite being so busy. I was so bummed they were out of the blooming onion because that is one of the main reasons why we chose this location. We ended up ordering the steak frites and pierogis which was delicious and filling! Chef cooked the meat a perfect medium! Soooo, I suppose I will just have to come back for the blooming onion! Thank you San Diego!

Although not advertised as one, this spot resembles a speakeasy. Its dimly lit and the vibes are spectacular. Whats even better is their food. We ordered the steak frites and wedge salad with fried chicken. The steak was cooked perfectly and flavors were insane. The wedge salad was fresh and so flavorful, chicken was panko crusted and flat which was sooooo good. Also im not a bourbon girl but the mixed berry fix was delightful and the only time ive ever liked drinking bourbon which says a lot. The service is solid. This is truly the perfect date night spot. We will be back!
