I just started my obsession with Filipino brunch and wanted to try another place to add to my go to list and this was meh. I mean good if you're in the area and want a fusion of Filipino eats and brunch. My group got the chicken fried steak, the neighborhood plate, banana French toast, and the hash. Everything came out together which was great but the downside was our food was room temperature. And if you had lechon room temp you know it's not poppin. The garlic fried rice was good but could be way more garlicky imo. The hash was surprisingly my fav, I enjoyed the potatoes they were soft and had a nice crust and the lechon was a nice crunchy addition. Chicken fried steak was okay, gravy was a tad sweet. Serving size was underwhelming but maybe I'm just a big mama idk LOL. It was a good place maybe where they shine is in their drinks which I didn't get the chance to order. You order your food and get your own water and buss your own tables which I don't have a problem with.

Service: I am probably the most lenient in rating service so I honestly felt this was below standard. I will give them the benefit of being new and possibly figuring things out still.1. They have a system that states order first then claim seat.People do not follow this system and it just breaks down... so you have a subset of people who paid waiting for a seat and a subset of people who sitting and not have ordered yet. Also, I notice the staff are not sure of peoples order and second guessing people's order. This is an untippable experience IMHO. The frustration and embarrassment should not be part of a dining meal.Ambiance: clean modern theme . You will feel refresh when entering.Food:Chicken steak: I think it was actually a beef burger that was fried... it was fried too much that made the beef patty dry. The garlic rice had a decent flavor consider made in us ... the garlic rice in Philippines is just something else... rich with butter and garlic. The lẹchin has was good... it was not overly salty leaving you to enjoy the classic vinegar soy sauce onion combo. Crispy pork belly and hash. I would recommendThe coffee flight was fun and cute I recommend if you want a small sample of their collection. The lẹchon burrito is also very good their lẹchon was well made and I enjoyed the thick burrito tortilla they used.To the business owner: I think your restaurant is good. Change how service is done and I will upgrade this to 4 stars. I believe you are newly establish and there's always improvement, as always supporting small businesses!

Been wanting to check this cafe out for a while, so we made a quick mid-day caffeine stop on Saturday. I originally wanted to do the coffee flight since I have seen lots of friend's order that but didn't want to sit down and sip on the drinks, but next time! Once we walked in, it was not busy at all. There was maybe two other people in the cafe sitting and then our group of three. We were able to look over the menu and discuss amongst ourselves what we thought would be good to try. We also asked the cashier what she recommended; drink wise. She recommended the Pandan Latte. I went ahead and ordered the Pandan Latte, as well as the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and Mint Mojito Coffee. We ordered all the drinks to be iced and the 16oz cup. We each tried all the drinks, and we think the Mint Mojito Coffee was the best out of the three we ordered. Overall, the drinks were great! It is a cute little cafe with a modern aesthetic. Also, super friendly staff! I am excited to come here again in the future!

first time trying Filipino brunch and it was much more yummy than I expected!I recommend their tapas plate, I thought that was really yummy especially their garlic rice. What really stood out was the experience I had with the staff who helped me. I believe her name was Cathya. It was my first time there so I was really confused on what's on the menu and she ran me through the details, including what she recommends for both food and drinks. She was really patient with us despite the amount of questions we asked. She also came and checked up on us to see how we like our food.4 star for food and 5 star for service!

Visiting seattle for a week and our first stop is at neighborhood cafe! We tried the coffee flight which contains 4 6oz samplers of the mint mojito coffee, black sesame latte, ube brulee latte, and coconut pandan iced latte. The server came and toasted the ube brulee one which was a nice touch!Ranking the 4 from my fav to least favorite!- ube brulee latte: sweet, love the toasted creme brulee on top!- Coconut pandan iced latte - the pandan foam was thick and creamy and had a nice strong flavor! Loved the coconut flakes on top which added to the overall taste of the drink! - Mint mojito coffee - super refreshing! I like the minty taste to it although the coffee taste wasn't that strong compared to the other three samplers- Black sesame latte - love the thick foam on top! I loved this one at first but i didn't like the aftertaste afterwards. My bf loved this one the most though so it worked out!Tip: mix the drinks before trying them! It tasted very different when i tried them all before mixing and after mixing them!I like that they have mimosas here and filipino based drinks that i've never seen before, and a bunch of food options! Would definitely come back and try different drinks!

Visited at 2pm on a Saturday back in January. Service was super friendly but our food wasn't worth the 30 minute wait. Everything we had was bland/ boring but that might've changed by now!Mint Mojito ($6.95) - Ours was very milky :/Chicken Fried Steak ($14.99) - The garlic rice was the only part I enjoyedLechon Burrito ($14.99) - The lechon was decent. The big chunks of potatoes and everything else wasn't seasoned wellI wouldn't recommend this place to a friend.

Firstly, they have great coffee. Their coffee is like a caffeine pick me up and a dessert. If you end up going and there are no places to sit, at lest order a coffee to go. It's worth it. The first time I came here was for lunch on a weekday, roughly around noon. Parking is ample (super fantastic!) so getting a spot wasn't difficult at all. Neighborhood Cafe has rules; such as, order first, pay, then find a seat. Don't break the rules. Especially when they are busy. The rules are on the front door before you walk in, so you can't miss them. Once you've ordered, paid, given a number and found a place to it your food will come out as soon as its ready. Here what I got to try:Coffee Flight $17.96Ube Biscuits & (Longanisa)Gravy $13.99Fried Chicken Fried Steak $15.99Chicken & Churros $15.99The Coffee Flight came with 4 - 4oz samples of what I believe is their most popular coffee drinks. Mint Mojito, Black Sesame Latte, Ube Brulee Latte and Coconut Pandan. If you like Coffeeholic House coffee you'll surely like the Ube Brulee Latte and the Black Sesame. My Favourite was the Mint Mojito, it was a great balance of coffee and mint. Without it tasting like toothpaste. As for eats, I believed that the Chicken & Churros was probably the best. The churros came with an ube syrup to either dunk or pour on your freshly made churros. The sauce on the chicken wings was tangy and delightful. The other two dishes were good. But the pink longanisa gravy through me off visually. It was just so pink that I kept thinking I was going to be eating a strawberry gravy. My mind just couldn't comprehend what my eyes were seeing. The garlic rice was great and everything tasted good. After you finish, bus your own table so that it will make turn around quicker for the next people who are waiting for your table. Keep it up Neighborhood Cafe! Can't wait to try your sandwiches next time!

Brunch goodness!Wish everything was a hotter temperature, but the taste was solid. Service was friendly and quick. Food came out so quickly. And the price was mostly under $16 per dish, which is reasonable in this Seattle market. Coffee flight was cute! And good. Distinctive flavors, and just the perfect size. Favorite was the churros and wings. Perfect fried churros, and seasoned nicely. And a good match for a savory wings that were nicely sized. Would come again :)

I regularly go to the Neighborhood Cafe for a drink and a savory meal. I recommend the Longanisa Smash and the limited item Tapas Crunch Wrap. As a FilAm myself. I love the fusion concept and the representation in flavors. My goal is to taste the whole menu. I will say I like to be able to eat here rather than order delivery service since the sasawan (sauce) really adds the best flavor to the food. Such a cute cafe and always clean.

I was so excited to try this place because who doesn't love a good Filipino brunch?! The food was average, I like the fusion concept but everything was mediocre. The longanisa patty was good but I wish they had other "silog" options. The serving sizes were kinda small. The ube and pandan lattes needed just a bit more flavor. Overall I still enjoyed my experience here and still give it a 4 star because of the chill ambiance, location, and friendly staff.
