Firstly I'm SOSOSO happy we finally have some Filipino food in the eastside. Overall this is a great addition to the neighborhood. We came opening weekend and the food was solid; drinks were delicious but operations/ flow wise, still some minor kinks. Overall I'd rate more a 4.5 but I'll round up cuz I'm just happy for some new diverse food in Eastside that's not another soup dumpling or hotpot place. Pros:Drinks are really great. Ube latte was so tasty tho a teeny bit too sweet. Even the club soda with milk was delicious. Food was solid- not the most delicious Filipino food I've had but definitely hit the spot if I'm craving Filipino. We ordered the ube biscuits with gravy, Neighborhood plate with longanisa sausage and banana caramel French toast. I was sad they didn't have the mini pancakes for opening weekend. Negatives:-The space is tiny. All the tables basically only fit 2 seats. I'd recommend they put at least 1-2 tables with 4 seats. Ppl were stealing chairs from other tables to fit 3-4 ppl parties. Thankfully they have some outdoor space for nice weather. - the operations still have some kinks but I understand it's opening weekend. We ordered food to eat in and there were no number signs so the employee awkwardly was holding plates asking every table if they ordered the dish.Overall definitely going to come back but probably gonna do take out next time given the small space. Drinks are a must order!

Neighborhood Cafe with locations in Tukwila & Redmond had been bookmarked. They also have a kiosk spot at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. After a work meeting in Redmond, I decided to stop in their newest spot before picking up 520W & I-5N to head home (6/6/24).I ended up finding nearby street parking adjacent to a city park. I'm glad I had stopped in before 12noon, because there's limited indoor table & counter seating. There's some outdoor sidewalk seating too. Half an hour later there was a bit of a line in this cramped L-shaped cafe with limited seating availability. Folks coming in with luggage on wheels and baby stroller, made it even more cramped. For this first visit, I ordered the Coffee Flight ($18.95). Note: this only available iced and for dine-in. Nice presentation of the scaled down beverages: mint mojito coffee, black sesame latte, ube brulee (torched tableside), and pandan iced coffee. First one is a pass, too much muddled mint. Second one, prefer the version at Aroom in Seattle/Fremont instead. The latter two were preferred, however, the coffee flavor was too dilute and overall leaning on the sweeter side.I also ordered and received first, the Longanisa Smash ($14.99). It was a sweet sausage patty, topped with melty cheese & yolky sunnyside up egg , and encased in a toasted pan de sal. The accompanying pickled red onion and bitter greens were nice foil to its richness! I appreciated the flatware and napkins provided. It was a decent first meal of the day, however, it was a 3.5 experience rounded to a 4 for me. Kind of pricey too. Remember to bus one's table, which was precarious weaving through the jammed entrance. With tax & tip, this visit was under $43! There are other spots in Redmond where one could have stretched one's culinary dollars further. Glad to check out Neighborhood Cafe and support an indie Filipino inspired business.

I had really high hopes for this place, but I think it fell slightly short of my expectations. The coffee was good but the food was especially underwhelming. There are also improvements in the ambiance I think they could make. You order at the counter here, they give you a number, and then they bring out the food to the table you choose when its ready. I got an iced black sesame latte and a side of the pork longanissa and lechon. The latte was great - thick creamy and sweet foam on top of strong smooth espresso. I really enjoyed it! On the other hand, the food was quite underwhelming. The lechon was bland and a little dry since it didn't come with a sauce, and a couple of pieces were pure fat so I couldn't eat it. The pork longanissa patty also had a strange flavor to me - it was sweet yet slightly sour and odd tasting. I almost didn't want to finish either but it was quite pricey for the amount of food so I did anyways.Lastly, their seating arrangement does need some improvement. If you come here with more than 2 people you have to move tables together but they only let you do that in the back, and its such a narrow seating area that it's quite cramped. I don't know how they can resolve it besides maybe making a couple of tables permanently 4 seaters but that was another inconvenience.

Happy to finally try Neighborhood Cafe after seeing them recently open!! I didn't try any food this time so my review is solely based off my drink/experience.A friend and I came in to relax and work for a bit and both ordered the pandan latte! Inside is cute, with some small tables along a thin corridor. It doesn't seem like this place would be good for a larger gathering as the seating is a bit condensed to two person tables, but perfect for a hangout or meal with a friend or even to work alone. The service was super friendly and would encourage me to come back! They're definitely working out some kinks - they forgot to have us take a number for our order so we had to go up to get our drinks, and they were trying to figure out what tables ordered food and walked around asking all the tables when holding dishes. Nothing that can't be improved! The only reason I took away a star was that there was work being done inside the cafe while we went. It wasn't just minor stuff, but someone using a full on wood saw indoors that made it impossible to have a conversation or focus. It was incredibly loud and really jarring...we ended up leaving early since it was so distracting

The food was good, although very flavorful, the crunch wrap was a little salty. However, the Vietnamese coffee was so good! The presentation for the banana pancakes is 10/10! The service is a little slow and we kept having to ask for stuff, but they were nice about it. The place has a chill atmosphere, in a nice location, but requires street parking.

What a wonderful place to grab different types of lattes and breakfast food. The place was cute and modern. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, they help describe the drinks and foods for me on their unique and diverse menu. They even gave us a ube milk latte on the house, which was very kind of them. The highlight of my meal was the drink itself. Actually, it was the perfect amount of sweetness and cream from the ube which went so well with the coffee. The second best thing that we had was the lumpia it was crispy and flavorful. I wish that the avocado toast had more avocado, but other than that it was great. The mini pancakes was OK, I wouldn't get it again as a remind me of pancakes you can get at Trader Joe's. Overall I'd come back for their lattes and perhaps try their in house made sausages.

Just checked out their soft opening but let me tell you... the flavors coming out of this place are anything but soft (not sure if this is funny but it was to me so I'm sticking with it :) My Fam and I got their Ube Latte and Black Sesame latte. Both were perfection and exactly what we hoped we would be getting here in Redmond! Def needs a variety of coffee and NEIGHBORHOOD CAFE brought it! I also tried their chopped cheese and tho I hoped it'd be on a hoagie it was still soooo good! Nice and velvety and the beef and onions were nicely done! I'm a huge fan of their menu and can't wait to try more! Make sure you come and give them a try!

'Super stoked that Filipino cuisine is finally represented here in the Eastside! 'Actually looked forward to going there every day for a week during their soft opening; making sure to try a different dish and drink each day.Their twist on Filipino comfort food is a big success. Don't expect a regular silog meal here. Instead, you'll be delightfully surprised by their Filipino-inspired American brunch with savory in-house longganisa, tapa, and lechon.Their delightful take on Filipino dessert-flavored drinks is genius! It's going to be hard to decide which one to order, so definitely go with the coffee flight.I'm really hoping everyone gives a warm welcome to Neighborhood Cafe. We are so glad to have you here!
