Found this little place near hotel and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Food, drinks and the service were all far above average. We are in town from Arizona, so I have had some good Mexican meals and I would put this up against anything I've ever had. Let's start with the margarita, why not throw in a Tennessee twist with a bit of spicy whiskey? Yes, please and can I bring it back with me? Not too spicy but just enough to leave a little kick on your tastebuds. My boyfriend had the lavender skies and it tastes as good as it looks. Althing not a big fan of mint, but if you are jump into this refresher. Now onto the eats. I've only had elote this good one other time (thank you tacos chiwas!) and I loved every creamy bite of this one. The Nashty taco had to be tried because I am in Nashville after all. It was a perfect combination of crunchy, spicy and fresh. I loved every single bite and sip at this place. Erica was a fantastic addition to the meal. She was super knowledgeable about the menu and the perfect example of southern hospitality (even though she may not be a native)Just wish I could have one of these gems in Arizona!

You'd never know it by the unassuming house converted to a charming little restaurant, but inside are some of the best tacos in Nashville. Middle Tennessee's taco game is very strong, and Nectar is more evidence of that. The "Nashty" with a whole chicken tender, poblano ranch, pickled jalapeño peppers and cheese is my favorite! But the spicy beef birria with its own broth for dunking is also popular for a reason! I can additionally vouch for the deliciousness of the cochinita pibil (achiote pork) and yazoo dos perros (beer-braised brisket) as well.

Nectar Urban Cantina has a great, fun vibe! Parking can definitely be tricky, but they do have parking across the street (just be careful because there's no crosswalk)! We were seated inside right away, and ordered some queso and chips to start with. We were so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the queso when we first got it, but it is creamy and cheesy, and was amazing! We ordered the chicken burrito which my boyfriend said was fantastic. The only thing is the other half of the burrito started to fall apart when putting it in the to go box. Definitely come hungry because that's a big burrito!I ordered the chicken burrito bowl. It comes with ranch, rice, beans, lettuce, pico, and cotija cheese which I love! It tasted so fresh and just what I was looking for in a bowl. Our waitress was super attentive and was always around when we needed something. I would highly recommend this place for a nice and casual Mexican spot! I'm looking forward to trying their acai bowls!

Today we visited the Nectar Urban Cantina. We knew this was a popular place because it has been packed every time we have driven by! Inside we were met with friendly service and delectable food. We tried the queso, guacamole, and salsa with chips for an appetizer, and all were good, but the salsa was a hands down favorite. For our entrees, my husband got the chicken burrito bowl and I went with the chicken Cantina burrito. We both enjoyed our meals and agreed that the chicken had a great flavor. With so many options on the menu and such great service, I know we will become return customers.

Cool find while rambling around Tennessee ... great feel in an old house, the parking lot was packed at lunch on a random weekday but we got a seat right away, we got a variety of food and it was all delish. Worth making the trip from where we were to where they are!

Nectar truly has the best chips and queso in Nashville! It's full of flavor and has a literal liquid consistency. The margaritas are delicious and fresh. The two bowls were a great light meal to pair with a belly full of chips and queso! They've got a great dog friendly outdoor patio and a cafe as well. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon, so be prepared to wait a minute if you come at peak times. Also be sure to specific if you want to be indoor or outdoor as reseating to the other seemed to be a bit of an issue. There's plenty of parking behind the building! Definitely check out Nectar if you're a local or just visiting!

This was my first visit here and it was a very good experience. It was more than I expected. It is Mexican inspired food. Everything we got was fresh and had good flavor. They have quite a few choices for breakfast and lunch. They have a full bar. They serve coffee and fresh juices. They have outdoor seating and are pet friendly if you sit outside. Our server was happy and attentive. The interior is casual and gave me a good vibe. It's moderately priced. The tacos are ala carte and are $5.00 to $6.00 a piece. I got 3 tacos and shared housemade Queso app with my wife and I was full. The parking lot looks like it has about 20 spaces, but I think you could park at Walgreens next door and be fine. They also have a little store where you can get baked goods, fresh bottles of juice along with other goodies. I will definitely go back for my next Taco fix.

I'm going to start with dessert first. The churros are divine. Order them, and eat them while they are fresh and hot. Margaritas are balanced and fresh. I had the prickly pear tonight. I also ordered 2 tacos - shrimp and birria. The consume for the birria is rich. I do wish that the shell was crisp and easier to handle to dip in that jus. The shrimp tacos were just mushy and one note. EJ was an amazing server who was attentive, but not hovering. He was friendly and checked with the kitchen or bar if he didn't know the answer to something. I really appreciated that. Great dining experience.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I hope I spelled that correctly. It's such a fantastic day to indulge in delicious Mexican cuisine. Nectar Urban Cantina is our go-to spot, not just for their mouthwatering dishes, but also for their excellent service. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, complete with a ramp for those who require it. Plus, you can even bring your furry friends along. They allow dogs outside. And if you're lucky, you might be treated to some incredible live music. Have a great day!

I love the food BUT I think the 2 oz to-go guacamole at $2.50 is a bit steep considering you don't get more than a spoonful. Other than that I like coming there.
