We chose this Thai restaurant for dinner on our little weekend getaway and were very happy with this choice! It's a cozy restaurant with nice, modern decor and great food and service. We had the chicken wings, Rama vegetables and green curry, with Thai tea. All were delicious, and just the right amount of spice for us. Would love to come back when we're in the area again! Happy eating!

This place is great! Vacationing in the area and ordered here two nights in a row. Everything was tasty and the veggies were fresh. It's not always easy to find plant based options but this place had a lot of choices. Massaman Curry and the Tofu fried rice are delish. They have brown rice, also. They offer a drop down menu when you order online so you can check no on what you don't want in the dish or add what you do want or if you want extra of anything. Prices on there for it all. Great place. Support it!

We love us our Thai food. Problem is there aren't many good Thai places in our area. We were planning on visiting Anacortes anyway and our son said he'd pass this restaurant when commuting to work. The Yelp reviews were great and so we made this our destination. Upon entering the smallish restaurant, what strikes you about the interior is it's beautiful, tasteful simplicity. It's small but the tables are arranged in a circular pattern next to the windows. We chose to sit at a table in the center of the room. There was a delightfully subtle scent I first encountered during my college days when taking yoga and mediation classes. It was the late '70s and that scent was everwhere. So points already for immediately hooking me with nostalgic sense memories. There was also beautiful piano music playing on the sound system. So even before we were given our menus a nice, comforting mood had already been set. Josh was our waiter and he quickly brought out our menus. Our son's favorite Thai dish is Pad See Ew with beef (called See Ew on the menu here). It's also my wife's favorite dish but she prefers it with pork. Me, I'm a Garlic Delight with beef man but I do love my crispy duck on special occasions. This was one of them. All the food came to the table quickly. The appetizers and Thai Iced Teas were timed so as to be served at a decent interval before the rest of the dishes came out. So here's the rundown on the dishes and their LARGE portions. I don't use numbers because I'm a words guy! Anyway...Tom Yum Soup--level 4 heat. This is the Thai version of the Chinese Hot & Sour Soup. I didn't see vinegar on the ingredients list, just lemongrass and lime leaves, both of which wouldn't really impart that sour edge I love so much with this type of soup. You can read the menu for the rest of what was in there. I didn't taste any sour here at all. But that was fine because the broth enhanced by the heat was delightful. I chose squid as the protein for the soup and there were two nice size pieces scored nicely with a small, sharp knife. My wife and son's shared belief is that perhaps the spice level covered up the sour flavor. I don't think so. Even without the sour flavor component it was a stand-out soup. Giew Grob--no heat. Thai version of Crab Rangoon. Like every crab rangoon I've ever had there was no taste of crab in there but it was still crisp and delicious--and hot as an temperature hot not spicy hot.It was served with a sweet & sour dipping sauce. Spring Rolls--no heat. Another hot dish tempwise but crisp and delicious appetizer. Served with a uniquely different peanut dipping sauce made with chopped peanuts.Spicy Crispy Duck--level 4 heat. The duck was absolutely delicious,. well cooked, tender and flavorful. It wasn't cooked on the rare side as it would be in a fine-dining restaurant, but this was a great example of Thai-style cookingt. BUT I have to deduct a point because the skin was not crispy. I was looking forward to crispy rendered skin, but the skin was soft. To me, if you're going to call a dish crispy then that's exactly what it should be. As for spicy, well, my ordering level 4 heat took care of that. Oh, the dish had an amazing, aromatic sauce. I made sure I poured all that I could from the platter into the takeout container.See Ew with Beef and with Pork (two separate orders). Our son ordered his beef see ew dish at level 4 heat; my wife ordered her pork version with no heat. They loved their dishes. The beef was sliced while the pork meat was more chopped. Both were very happy with their dishes. I sampled both and and also enjoyed them but I've never been a fan of Thai noodle dishes overall. Fried Rice--level 1 heat. Perfectly cooked rice with flavors that stood on their own without the addition of meat, poultry or seafood. Jasmine Rice. Perfectly cooked large scoop of the aromatic stuff. Thai Iced Tea. Made just the way my wife and I like it. We chose the 8 oz glass because a 16 oz glass is A LOT of Thai Iced Tea no matter how good it is. Midway during our meal, Jack took over for Josh. Both servers were equally warm and friendly and wholly professional. Jack was the one who thanked us as we were leaving but Josh also popped in there. Overall a wonderful dining experience with well-made, delicious Thai food at reasonable prices. For us, Naung Mai Thai Kitchen will still be destination dining for us.

We just did not have a good experience. Our waitress accidentally used a swearword at our table when things didn't go well for her, and there were five kids with us who heard it. That was only the beginning..., out of the seven orders that we made, three of them were wrong, and the waitress was actually defensive when we explained that that is not what we ordered. Then to top it all off, our bill included our neighbors lunch. We got the lunch specials, and I just wish their portions were bigger, because even all our kids were still hungry afterward. Combine all of these elements, and it is safe to say that I won't be going back,

We had a great time as a family at this location. Service was prompt and friendly. Food came as ordered and in an appropriate amount of time. Decor and location were both great! My son was very impressed with the squid Thai soup, I enjoyed the Red Curry duck, and my wife enjoyed the Spicy Basil entree. I found the serving size average, about what you would expect, but there were no left overs.

This place is cute, spacious, well-decorated, and has a bright atmosphere. We were welcomed and seated quickly. A great place to grab lunch if you are in mood for Thai. It is close to the Deception pass state park if you're around there. The food was satisfactory. Their spice levels run on the softer side which should be good for mild palates. Spice lovers, you may want to go up a level.

Solid food, friendly service (sometimes a bit slow if they get slammed during the dinner rush, but they're doing their best), and pleasant dining room with lots of natural light. Their pho isn't exactly like normal pho, but it's still good enough that it's my go-to takeout soup when I have a sore throat.

Okay, so the Tom Yum soup is misleading because they have a picture of serving it in a metal ring fire warmer which presentation wise looks super cool. There's even a picture of it on their menu. But when I asked about this, they said it just comes in a regular bowl. So, kind of misleading.I would give it 5 stars for the price and for the green curry. However, the three star is for the pad thai that tastes like ketchup (I don't think they actually use real tamarind sauce? It's missing the sweet and sour tang and that deep flavor of pad thai that I was so looking forward to). I really had high hopes for the restaurant because of its price point. However presentation wise, it was probably a 4.5. Not bad. I'd say update the menu so it's not misleading and change your pad thai sauce to be real pad thai... then I'll change this to a 5.Would love to try the mango curry and fried ice cream still one day.

This restaurant was recommended when we spent the night in Anacortes. The food was excellent and the portions were a good size. I would make this my go to Thai food if I lived a little closer but Beaverton, OR is bit far. The service was fast and the staff checked with us several times during our meal to make sure all was ok. The restaurant was very clean and in an attractive building.
