We were guests at a wedding in April of 2024 and while the venue was beautiful, inside and out, all other aspects left much to be desired. Upon arrival, prior to the ceremony, I noticed the ceiling in the women's restroom was leaking, pretty significantly, I located a staff member to alert them. It seemed as though the AC unit above the restroom was leaking, which is understandable and certainly no one would expect extensive repairs. However, throughout the night it was never addressed nor was there even an attempt to rectify or at least try to periodically attend to the issue. One of the two stalls was rendered unusable and it was practically a hazard to use the restroom at all.The venue was dramatically understaffed. From only having one bartender for over 120 people, with significant specialty cocktails, to the fact that they didn't even preset water at the dining tables, it was noticeable they didn't staff appropriately and those who were working were overwhelmed. The food was...bad. There is no way around it. Running out of items, slow replenishing, gluey mashed potatoes with no flavor, tough pork chops, the driest chicken tenders I've ever experienced that I THINK was meant to be chicken fried steak(?) due to the strange pork gravy that was placed next to them and incredible dry rolls with no butter or any toppings. Overall the venue has all the potential in the world but dramatically needs a management or staffing overhaul.

I cannot say enough good things about Teri and her venue/staff at Terian Farms. My wedding was September 3rd and it was absolutely amazing! Teri made sure everything was perfect and I did not have to worry about a thing except enjoy my day. The food was delicious, everyone has told me that my wedding was so much fun and beautiful and it's all thanks to Teri and her staff.

My husband and I got married at Terian Farms on September 6, 2016. Teri and her staff made that day exactly what we dreamed - gorgeous and fun for everyone! It was an incredible evening and several of our friends and family are still talking about how it was the best wedding they've ever attended which is exactly what every bride wants to hear! Most of that was due to Teri and her staff. The day didn't go as planned... about 2 hours before the ceremony, it started pouring rain even though the forecast called for 0% chance of rain. Teri took care of getting everything back inside and wiped off. Luckily the rain stopped and they had time to reset everything before the ceremony! Teri also handled all the details of our wedding. She arranged the decor, catering, DJ, bartenders and the amazingly delicious cake. She even did the flowers after I called her a month ahead of the date and told her that I couldn't decide and didn't have time to handle it (I thought I wanted to but I ran out of time!) She did all of this in 4 months. Oh, and did I mention how stunning my photos are? The grounds and horses are all immaculate and make spectacular backgrounds for your wedding photos. I cannot recommend Terian Farms enough if you want a fun, memorable, beautiful, outdoor Nashville wedding!

I was involved in a wedding at the end of April 2024 and wish to comment specifically on the bar tending at the venue. Overall, the venue is beautiful. You can't find a more lovely location for a wedding. However, the venue was disorganized and woefully short-staffed.The reception started with a 1-hour cocktail hour while photos were being taken after the ceremony. There were two simple signature cocktails, plus wine and beer. There was only one bartender for 130 guests. I heard some waited an hour to get a drink. The bartender was not a professional. While very pleasant, she didn't know how to sling drinks quickly. She was actually using a shaker to make an Old Fashioned with 100 people in line. She did not pre-pour the cocktails or wine, for guests to pick up immediately after the ceremony. One of the other staff assisted briefly, serving beer and wine, but she had other duties and left while the crush was still on.I heard from some guests that later on, she refused to make mixed drinks; you got liquor on ice. If you insisted on an Old Fashioned, she poured two ounces of the syrup with ice (the syrup is sugar water with flavoring). And she ran out of tonic water, so no Elderflower G&T's. The next day, we picked up the left-over liquor to return for a refund. When looking behind the bar for anything left behind, I found a case of a dozen1-liter bottles of tonic water. I'm not sure how she lost a case of tonic behind the bar.For anyone using this venue in the future, here are a few suggestions to put in the contract and brief with the bar staff.1. Have two bars for the post ceremony crush, with sufficient bartenders and bar backs. If serving beer, wine and mixed drinks, the recommendation is one bartender per 35 to 50 guests (depending on the complexity of your mixed drinks). 2. Pre-mix cocktails like Old Fashioneds, so the bartender just pours. 3. Pre-pour cocktails and wine into glasses, ready for pick-up by guests immediately following the ceremony. 4. Fully brief the bartender on what is behind the bar and how to mix a drink correctly and quickly.

I don't often write reviews, but I feel I must write one for a wedding I attended at Terian Farms on April 27, 2024. The venue is beautiful and its setting on a horse farm is quite idyllic. The bride and groom were blessed with a spectacular day, and their outdoor wedding was simply gorgeous. And the DJ was fantastic. Unfortunately, my comments regarding the reception are not as favorable.During the reception, there was ONE bartender for 134 guests! ONE! Everyone went to the bar immediately following the ceremony to get a drink. It was an open bar that included beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and mixed drinks, including two signature drinks requested by the bride and groom. Some guests waited in line for up to an hour for a drink! There were no servers passing out drinks at all.The food was bad. The chicken fried steak could not be cut with a knife, the mashed potatoes were cold, and the roasted vegetables were soggy and slightly burnt on top. The rolls were hard, and the only thing that I slightly enjoyed was the salad. The venue was slow in replenishing empty food trays and eventually ran out of food completely! And the staff was unapologetic about it when this was brought to their attention. In fact, many were downright rude to guests. There was a leak in the ceiling of the women's restroom which was brought to the attention of staff prior to the ceremony. Several guests had water drip on them! There was absolutely no attempt on the venue's part to remedy the situation, provide a temporary fix, or at least keep occasional tabs on it.In summary, the venue was woefully unprepared, understaffed and disorganized and many who worked there were downright rude to guests. There was insufficient food for those in attendance; some did not even get a meal.

We were guests at a wedding the last weekend of April. The setting of the venue was lovely, however, the service and food were incredibly lacking. Well over 100 guests but only one bartender for cocktail hour making special bride and groom cocktails and pouring regular drinks. You waited in line close to 15 minutes or more for a drink. Ladies bathroom was flooded and never addressed. The food was beyond inedible. Chicken fried steak so tough you couldn't cut it or chew it. Vegetables were rubbery. Not enough dessert for all guests. Such a shame.

I rarely have written a review on Yelp, but felt this time it was necessary. I attended a wedding in April 2024. The venue was serene with horses romping nearby, a big open field, and a picturesque barn, but that's where the "wow" factor ended. I didn't want an alcoholic drink, thank goodness, because the line was long and slow with only 1 bartender. I saw 2 different appetizers being passed for a short time, if you didn't grab one when they went by, the odds of the wait staff coming back around were slim. But by far, the biggest disappointment was the lack of food at the reception. We were sitting at the last table (#14) to be guided to the buffet line. This is no exaggeration, all that was left was a big bowl of salad, with 4 carafes of dressing, with no labels and dressing running down the sides (no one had bothered to wipe them off periodically to keep them clean). I can't say what other food was offered because the pans were empty. Nothing was labeled, but I could see remnants of vegetables in one pan, some kind of potatoes in another, there were 2 pieces of overcooked chicken and about 5 pieces of pork floating in liquid with a sauce off to the side, and a big bowl of rolls, with no butter. An attendant came out and we looked expectantly to see if she planned to refill the pans and she said, "we don't have any more food, don't blame me." So I had lettuce, a tough piece of chicken I had to saw through to cut it and a stale roll. As if to add insult to injury, we were told we could take our glasses to another station for water, lemonade or ice tea, when I went, the water urn was empty. I mentioned it to a staff member who was standing nearby, I never went back to see if it was refilled. How any venue could run out of food before all the guests have gone through the line is unfathomable, but then what little food I did taste, perhaps it wouldn't have mattered, it was not good. And thankfully, I didn't need the bathroom because another guest told me it was flooded and hadn't been cleaned up yet.

Reached out about possibly booking this venue and was shot down very rudely with a "we're closed that day sorry" when I had asked for info. Just lost a potential client since my date is flexible. Learn how to talk to people or leave the business where you work with people. Common sense really.
