"This Velvet Taco location is one of the latest additions to the East Nashville food scene and I am beyond pumped to have it in the neighborhood! I have been dreaming of these massive tacos and that elote for too long! This Velvet Taco is stand alone and features a good size indoor dining area and a great outdoor covered patio. Both spaces are fitted with hightops, standard tables and bar/communal style seating. Parking is limited, but is plentiful for the space. The way Velvet Taco works is the same as most fast-casual spots where you order at the counter, they prepare and then call your name or bring to your table. It is an efficient and easy process, which is great, as I want to ensure I get tacos in my belly as quick as possible! Speaking of tacos, the menu is separated by protein including chicken, veg, beef, pork and fish. They also have some great starters and sides, plus a dessert to go with your tacos if you are into that kind of thing! The tacos are hefty, so I usually go with (2) tacos plus a side of elote. This usually leaves me just the right amount of full. For the tacos, my go-to's are the Fish n' Chips and the Slow Roasted Angus Brisket. Both are absolutely phenomenal in their own way and make me so dang happy from first to last bite! While those are my number 1's, I have tried and enjoyed the Cuban Pig and Buffalo Chicken. Overall, really enjoy Velvet Taco and pumped to finally have them in the neighborhood!"
"The real deal! Unlike most of the dreadful Mexican restaurants in Nashville. The mole negro and banana-leafed wrap tamales were superb! The cuisine is from Oaxaca, so if you are craving burritos and fajitas then this is not the place for you."

I like 33.33 percent of those things, but even so, I had a great time at this moonshine distillery. If you're doing a moonshine tasting, then this is how it goes. You step up to the big bar when it's your designated time, and you will be served several small shots of different moonshine. I believe my total was seven different tastes of moonshine, which seems like a lot, but the pours are thimble-sized. The bartenders tell you about each moonshine they pour, so you get to learn about the different flavors. As a palate cleanser between each shot, they offer you a complimentary beer (one of Yee-Haw Brewing Company's signature beers) or hard seltzer. I picked the Cerveza, a Mexican lager, because it was one of the lower ABV choices. Between this and the petite tastes of moonshine, I walked away definitely feeling a nice buzz, but not anywhere near "woo-hoo" territory. My favorite tastes were the banana pudding cream moonshine (it tasted like boozy banana cream pudding), and the moonshine pineapples: literally moonshine-soaked pineapple chunks, which are offered at the end. They are a well-oiled machine here. My party stepped up to the bar at the time we were supposed to, then the bartenders poured our booze, lickety-split, in an almost choreographed frenzy. Then we were on our way, and the next group took our place. There were a lot of people here, but the service is efficient. I had a great time tasting moonshine."
"Came here on a Friday at 6pm with reservations. We ordered some tacos and queso which were both great. The queso was easily large enough for 4 people. Tacos were good albeit not mind blowing for the price. The atmosphere and vibe of the spot really started popping off around 7-8pm. Their rooftop bar has one of the best views of the Nashville skyline I know of. We cant wait to come back and grab drinks with friends here."
"Did we come here because we saw it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? Absolutely. Was Guy right? Absolutely. We came by on a Wednesday evening, but we were too late for the tamales. There was a bit of a wait outside, but it wasn't too bad. We sat outside at the covered patio. I really liked the ambiance, and inside was cute, too, where you pick up your food. The sweet potato & quinoa taco was okay; I really liked the red sauce at the table (similar to Valentina), but the Pulled Pork one was soooo ridiculously good and flavorful! And their Pozole Verde soup? I could eat that by the GALLON! It was incredible!!!! Need to come back earlier on a Wednesday to snag some tamales before they run out!"
"I was looking for a place for dinner during a work trip to Nashville, this place popped up as close to my hotel and I love tacos, so I made my way over.It was packed! Which you love to see, I was lucky to slide up to the bar.I had a delicious avocado jalapeño margarita, a ranch water which is topo Chico tequila and lime.I had the pineapple habanero salsa, the Nashville hot chicken and avocado taco, everything was delicious! I had a great time and would come back here if I'm in the area again. A fun modern twist on Mexican!"
"Say hello to your new go-to sandwich shop! My husband and I have ordered from the new 51st Deli location twice in the last month, and will definitely be making this a regular stop. Both of our recent visits were on Sunday afternoons, and I would be remiss if I didn't shout out the incredible customer service! The folks working here are genuinely excited that you're there - they greet you when you walk in the door, take your order quickly and kindly (no matter how busy they are), and then wish you well when you're leaving. This is truly some of the best service I've had in Nashville at a grab-and-go restaurant. If you're in the mood for a hot sandwich, I recommend the Chopped Cheese. This is 51st Deli's take on a classic, and they do so memorably. If you've never had a Chopped Cheese before, it's basically a burger in sandwich form without a true patty. That might sound strange, but trust me when I say it's incredible! On our second visit, I decided to try the Turkey Avocado sandwich, which is packed full of flavor and texture. This order solidified my opinion that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu at 51st Deli, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty sandwich to-go! That said, if you do decide to dine in, they have several tables available inside and outside, along with an extensive wall of drinks to choose from."
"The barbacoa taco is great! Juicy shredded pork, cilantro and onions on a corn tortilla. Boom -- that's all you need. Pour some of Chilango's slightly spicy green chile on top, and you have a nice little meal. One taco is enough to take the edge off, but if I were super hungry, I would have probably ordered two.One of my friends ordered the barbacoa salad, and it looked amazing. This salad is huge and served on a literal baking sheet, so everything is spread out nicely. The pork salad has shredded cheese, onion, tomato and corn, served on a bed of romaine lettuce, and includes some chips and dressing on the side.Another of my friends ordered the mango frozen margarita, which is served with a Tajin rim. I tasted it and it was a little too sweet for my palate, but she really enjoyed it.Chilangos Tacos is located in Assembly Food Hall in downtown Nashville. There are a lot of food options at Assembly, but Chilangos is the one to make a beeline to if you're looking for decent Mexican food in this area."
"The service was fantastic! The staff member at the counter was incredibly energetic and offered great recommendations from their extensive menu. The food was quite satisfying. Initially, the queso portion seemed small, but it packs a spicy punch. I had the quesadilla which was great, I did shredded chicken and the juice they had it in they needed to broil it a few minutes to take some juice out so the quesadilla is not a soggy mess. Churros were so good but need caramel in a separate cup to make it easier to dip. The establishment offers both a bar and table dining options, as well as takeout. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely return!"
"I only tried one taco here, so my review is not a complete picture of this taco truck by any means. I visited during Tomato Fest, and had dinner elsewhere before checking this spot out. Given the fantastic reviews, the small menu, and the adorable truck, I just had to try something from the taco truck. I went with the sweet potato taco, and tried their chipotle salsa on the side. The taco was really tasty, although incredibly pricey- $7 is a lot for just one taco. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I would pay the $7 for another one of the sweet potato tacos. I would, however, try a different taco or a quesadilla next time. The salsa was delicious and I would recommend trying it- not too spicy, but packed with that smoky chipotle flavor."
"Got takeout. When I arrived, my food was already ready! I got:- 2 carne asada tacos with onions but no cilantro: carne asada was dry, yikes! Not very flavorful either.- 1 chorizo taco with onions but no cilantro: flavorful and tasty, this was good.- sopapillas: these were small and had honey with powdered sugar on top. Not sure if they weren't super great because they were cold, but it wasn't very fluffy. Really pricey food, tacos were $4.25 and all that was on it was two tortillas, meat, and cilantro. That's how authentic Mexican tacos are but it was overpriced."

What a fun spot to grab some tacos! Several people had recommended I stop by Velvet Taco, and I can see why they love it.I placed an order for takeout on a weeknight directly through their website, and it was ready for pick up 20 minutes later. All of their tacos sounded interesting, so we opted to try quite a few! These are pretty large tacos, so six split between two people was plenty of food. My favorite was the Spicy Tikka Chicken! I love the fusion of flavors - and the chicken tenders were extra crispy. My husband's favorite was the Mexi-Cali Shrimp, and we also both enjoyed the Chicken & Waffle taco. I also have to shout out how organized and thorough Velvet Taco's takeout operation is. I've ordered from several restaurants in the area that struggle with packaging and preparing food to-go in a timely manner. I've even had multiple restaurants forget a side or a drink. Not only was my food ready exactly when Velvet Taco promised, but it was packaged with care, and still hot after a 10 minute drive home. Every taco was accounted for, and that's a win in my book. I love that this location is open late on weekends, and can't wait to dine in soon to get the full Velvet Taco experience!

Not sure how this spot isn't more popular. Walked in and it was empty. Was greeted by the friendliest waitresses and seated quickly. They instantly brought out complementary chips and salsa and helped me place my order. The mole chicken dish and my tamale came out very quickly and both were spot on. The chips and salsa were legit as well. Legitimately one of the best, most authentic Mexican places I've visited. After sitting around for a bit, the locals started to arrive. You know the spot is good when it's all locals eating there.

Ole Smoky Distillery in Nashville is an absolute must visit! The moonshine tastings are a blast, thanks to the incredible bartenders who really know how to keep the energy high and make the experience fun. Each flavor is unique and delicious (some more than others) there is something for everyone! The distillery itself is well-stocked with an impressive selection of souvenirs, apparel, and of course, spirits. It's the perfect place to grab a little piece of Nashville to take home with you. Whether you're a moonshine enthusiast or just looking for a fun time, Ole Smoky Distillery won't disappoint. I stop every trip I am in the area for souvenirs or gifts. A family favorite is their spicy moonshine pickles!

Found this delicious spot when searching for tacos on a whim! We tried the Barbacoa tacos and the salsa trio, and we will definitely be back to try more. The service was great, the vibe was fun and eclectic, and the menu was fantastic.

What a great spot! This eclectic bar has a authentic Mexican menu that nails tacos, elote, and cocktails. You order outside at the window, or inside at the bar, grab a table, and enjoy a cocktail. Within a few minutes, your name is called and heaven awaits at a pass-thru window. My fiancé and I ordered several tacos, cocktails, soup, and sides all for around $40. Super affordable and even more delicious. The tortilla soup had more flavor and umami to the broth than any other soup I've had (and I LOVE soup.) My tilapia taco was fried to perfection, and their home made hot sauce really sealed the deal. The margaritas, spiked iced coffees, and sangrias only made everything better. It was amazing to be able to enjoy such a great meal, at a great patio, with good friends at such a reasonable price. I left wishing I had a "Mas Tacos" in my home town! Thanks for the awesome dinner!

Taco Mamcita's former location was one of my go-to spots for Tex Mex fare. I was very sad when they closed and ecstatic to hear that they reopened.I started with the skinny margarita which was good but had a fairly strong chemical aftertaste, which is uncommon compared to other skinny margaritas I've had at other restaurants. Regardless, it was still good (and I ordered two). For an appetizer, we started with a trio of salsas (fire roasted, fresh mango and diablo). As someone who likes super spicy foods, the diablo was my favorite. However, I appreciated how fresh and flavorful the other two were. We also ordered the white queso, which was delicious -- the perfect combination of rich and creaminess.Moving on to the entree, I ordered the two tacos and a side combo. I'm a vegetarian, so I selected the avocado and black bean tacos. Both were very good. The avocado taco packed a punch with the chipotle honey hot sauce, but it was offset by the cool avocado slices. Those two flavors were elevated by the pico, pickled red onion, and the jalapeno lime aioli. The black bean taco was also delicious. The crispy black bean veggie patty was cut into slices which made for an easier to eat taco. It was supported by avocado, pico, salsa verde, jalapeno lime aioli, feta cheese and cilantro. Those all combined to make a divine taste profile. I don't know which of the two I liked more.I chose the Mexican street corn for my side and it was incredible -- creamy, tangy and packed with flavor. I could have eaten an entire bowl. The service was great, and I really liked the ambiance of the new location. I'm so glad it's back. I look forward to many more visits in the future.

I'm a fan of this new location of the 51st Deli. They serve what seems like everything. Coffees, juices, smoothies, breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, desserts & sodas. And there's more. It's crazy! Service is friendly and quick, and the vibes inside are upbeat and fun, whether you're dining in or grabbing and going! I loved my Caesar wrap, it's light, yummy & affordable!
Visit Restaurant Page"Happy Cinco de Mayo! I hope I spelled that correctly. It's such a fantastic day to indulge in delicious Mexican cuisine. Nectar Urban Cantina is our go-to spot, not just for their mouthwatering dishes, but also for their excellent service. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, complete with a ramp for those who require it. Plus, you can even bring your furry friends along. They allow dogs outside. And if you're lucky, you might be treated to some incredible live music. Have a great day!"
"Used this location to prepare lunch for one of my doctor's offices and they did an amazing job. They really paid attention to detail and provided everything I asked for. Very professional staff and great ambiance as well! Everyone loved the food"
"This is a taco food truck-based restaurant with indoor seating, though we opted for to-go. I got 6 tacos: asada, pastor, chicharron, beef tongue, barbacoa, and carnitas. What's nice is that similar to some taco stands, they give a lot of fixings like jalapeño pepper, grilled green onions, and radish, along with lime, onion, and cilantro, as well as avocado sauce. Tacos themselves are just average with an acceptable amount of meat, decently priced at $1.75 per taco. The issue I had was that the tortillas were soggy, so oil from the al pastor taco seeps through the entire dish."
"Came by since I didn't get a chance to try it when there was a Yelp event, but it's been on my radar ever since! It's the corner building of a little strip mall that's in progress, and they have parking out back, free for customers. The menu here is really....unusual. There's coffee & breakfast tacos, but also margaritas and bbq style tacos and salads. So, quite a mix. They close at 4pm, too, so more like coffee shop hours. Despite the identity crisis, inside was really clean and the food was really good! I got the #8 Taco; a lunch taco with brisket, avocado, and pico de gallo. This was outrageously good and had plenty of food! I don't normally love brisket, but I liked that it didn't have cheese and just wanted to try one. It came in a flour tortilla and it was good with any of the three salsas they have available. I really liked the jalapeño sauce, which was actually dairy-free, too. I also got the City Slicker Salad with no cheese. It was all pretty good, but it's kind of a take-out joint and they don't chop the salad! Why? It's so much easier in the kitchen with a giant counter versus in a full bowl with a plastic knife."
"These are SOLID Street Tacos!!!This place reminds me of some roadside Mexican places I've enjoyed driving through Texas. They were a little busy and with the traffic on Murfreesboro Rd it can be difficult to talk with the lady taking your order. I asked for a steak and a chicken taco, but was delivered two steak tacos. Not to worry, she fixed my order and gave me the extra steak taco. I loved the steak tacos, great flavor and when you add the sautéed onions...WOW!!! The chicken taco was good, but the steak overshadowed the chicken one. I did sample the two sauces provided, while the tacos didn't need any enhancements, but these sauces were too hot for my taste buds. They have outdoor seating, which was full so I just dropped my tailgate and enjoyed my lunch."
"Lower Broadway is full of live music bars (lucky us!). So what sets this one apart? Firstly, you can be fairly up close to the band which makes for fun interaction. Secondly, there is often a band playing rock. Even metal. Bonus points! And thirdly, it is a bit of a well kept secret as it bears the name of a music industry clothing designer (I'm looking at you, Elvis) and not a county music mega star. So even if you haven't "heard of" Nudie's, do yourself a favor and stop in. There is a difference amongst many of the honky tonks. For me, this one hits right. PS everyone is clothed. ;) Pro Tip: look directly above the stage and you will see Nudie's full size Cadillac mounted on the wall!"
"Always my go to for Mexican in Gallatin. Authentic, very inexpensive and great owner and staff. Food is always excellent, restaurant does have seating but it limited. If no seats No worries you can always eat outside or grab it to go."
"This places screams authentic, from the Mexican market next door cooking their own carne asada to the hand written CASH ONLY sign on the door. This place has been here for at least 15 years! Or at least that's how long I've known of them. The atmosphere has a small, heavy and authentic feel, perfect to eat the greasy yummy food. The cheese dip is delicious so make sure you order some, unless you are lactose intolerant and then I'm sorry, it would be worth it though, just saying. I also order the chiles toreados. I like to eat them with my food for a mild spicy taste (unless you get unlucky, ha!) and I don't eat the seeds either so that helps with the luck. They have different dishes but my favorite had always been the carne asada burrito, that's my go to for ever in this place, I do try different things else where but honestly now that my tastes buds are less whiny, I would love to try all the different food they have there. Honestly everything that I have seen around the tables look delicious. I definitely will be back every time I get a chance! They have a customer until someone hangs the shoes for good."
"This is a cute little shop with a menu featuring American and Hispanic breakfast and lunch food. It was pretty busy when we went in but our server was kind and attentive. The food came out a bit intermittently, but it was fun for the kids."
"I'm from the San Diego area and the Cali burrito is one of our go-to's and right up there with a double cheeseburger. I stopped in here and asked Jose if they could make me one and told them the ingredients for simple with carne asada, slightly crispy french fries, pico de gallo, sour cream, and Mexican cheese. You need to grill the burrito on a flat top and there you have it! One of the all-time greatest burritos ever made and I believe they're going to make it a regular menu item. This will be one of my weekly go to's and I think some of the best authentic Mexican food in the area"
"Finally some decent Mexican food in Nashville. Right off the bat, the main difference is how the meat is prepared. All of the proteins; chicken, steak, and pork are cooked on a grill outside in the parking lot. This gives everything a smokey flavor. We ordered the "Mexican burrito" yup that's the name on menu, a chicken quesadilla, and a carne asada burrito. The Mexican burrito was loaded with a ton of pork, rice, beans, and salsa. This burrito is huge and a little greasy, but that's what makes pork burritos taste sooo good! I tried both the red and green salsa, and the green was by far the best. Citrus and spice flavors all in one, rain on me!The chicken quesadilla was good, but not my fave. It needed more flavor and maybe some salt? This is a great option for a kid or a picky eater. By the way, it comes with rice and beans. Another huge portion! From what it looked like, they are taking full precautions here. All servers and cooks were wearing masks, gloves and seats in the waiting area spaced apart. There are accepting dine in patrons, but we ordered our food to go just to be on the safe side.I would definitely try this place again if I'm in the area!"
"So, I am kind of obsessed with papusas and who does not love tacos? With dinner finding me seeking an establishment, Andrea Papuseria y Taqueria in Nashville, Tennessee cried out in a primal scream and demanded that I try here.Walking in, I found the place to be a humble establishment. Really, I believe the cooking is outside at the food truck and the inside is just for seating. A business practice that I have seen elsewhere. It maked sense if you already have the food truck as you don't have to pay for a commercial kitchen to be installed. I opted for two papusas and two tacos, one with asada, the other with chorizo. They were delivered in a timely fashion and by a friendly server. They were very golod and the orice points were unbelievable. This whole feast came up with a total price of $8.50.I must say that the best food will be discovered in these hole in the wall restaurants. Not to discredit fine dining, but when you need to find something to not only give you dustenence, but to feed your soul, you will find that food only in places like this.Seek this place out if you are on the east side of Nashville."
"I've ordered in catering from here a few times now for work meetings. I cannot tell you how much my team raves about their food and wants it again and again!Haven't eaten in the restaurant itself so I can't speak to that, but the food is good. Taco bar with chicken and brisket is the current favorite, and the chipotle salsa disappears before I even put it out. Lots of different topping choices to add to the taco bar and their guacamole is one of the best I've had recently. I'll continue to order from them as long as my team continues asking for it... and I don't see that changing anytime soon!"
"Very good tacos and so worth it. We randomly stopped here and was very surprised to come upon it since we drove past it on the way to a friend's house. It's located in a parking lot in the middle of The Nations neighborhood. After finishing at friend's house, we decided to return for dinner. We had 3 different tacos that were $2 a piece, a Mexican coca cola, chips and salsa (the salsa is very spicy!), and of course a side of Oaxaca cheese. \The gentleman and the young lady who were running the show were very kind. The food, like I said, was perfect in every way! It has only been open a month, so please take some time and go check it out. They are open for lunch through dinner and mainly cater the lunch crowd who works in the area."
"I ordered the tacos. It comes with 3 tacos and a side of beans. I chose steak, carnitas, and al pastor. The tacos were ok. I've had better. However, the al pastor had the most flavor out of the three. The tacos were good in size. I enjoyed the sauces it came with, a red hot and creamy jalapeño. I didn't expect them to be spicy but they were. I asked for no beans but they were able to sub it for a side of rice. They are very friendly and prices are reasonable."
"I had heard raving reviews from several locals about this place! So many offerings of fresh, delicious comfort foods.I'll start by gushing about their incredible Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuit. Brace yourself for a flavor explosion as you sink your teeth into their buttermilk biscuit (made with love!) generously layered with cheddar(?) cheese, crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs. Every bite was a symphony of the perfect blend of flavors. I was skeptical at first. I didn't like the look of the cheese, it kinda looked like processed American cheese that wasn't entirely melted but it was actually really, really good! That's all I care about.Next up - the TPM Two Egg Breakfast at The Paper Mill deserves its own standing ovation. It's basically a build-your-breakfast. My plate of deliciousness consisted of two perfectly cooked, buttery scrambled eggs. Paired with crispy bacon that was cooked to crispy perfection, a side of tantalizing crispy potato hash, and--of course--their heavenly biscuits, this breakfast ensemble was nothing short of extraordinary!!I also have a couple honorary mentions. First off, I LOVED the pepper jelly I asked to go with my biscuits. Just the right amount of light sweetness and spicy kick! Highly recommend for the adventurous palate! Also, I ordered a side of sausage gravy to add even more pizzazz. It was absolutely delish! So much so I found myself eating it by the spoonful several times, sns!The ambiance at The Paper Mill is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot to start your day with a smile. The charming atmosphere, combined with the outstanding food, creates an unforgettable breakfast experience that will have you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal!"
"I just moved to East Nashville from LA a few months ago and I've had an awful time trying to find authentic Mexican food. I've only been here once, but so far this is easily the best. There is another taco stand in East Nashville that gets a lot of business and good for them... but this place is way better and way more fairly priced on top of it."
"Ran in here for some drinks and the workers are soo nice and helpful! They have me the best recommendations on here to take the girls to party! The restaurant is eclectic, laid back, but such a fun inviting atmosphere. I loved the vibes and would 100% go back!"
