"Cool, exotic little hangout where seafood is king. Specifically, Mexican seafood, or "mariscos" is the specialty of the house. There is a wide variety of seafood ranging from oysters on the half shell to shrimp, fish, octopus and more cooked in various ways. My shrimp cocktail was a meal in itself and it came with some Mexican saltine crackers that were the bomb!! I swore to remember the brand but of course I forgot. I should have just taken a pic with my crackberry!Endless chips and 4 types of salsas start you off on a spicy journey of discovery. And they have very cold Mexican brews to help tame the heat!I did not see any americans in here, only spanish-speakers, which was a good omen for me. They have karaoke on Saturday night, but it is spanish only."
"We stopped while driving through on our way to DCI Phantom Regiment Camp in Kentucky. Lots of Mexican restaurants to choose from in Nashville, but chose this one a bit north of the city and so glad we did! The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS with all of the murals! I loved it and the food was just as good. They serve BOGO margaritas, and cold beer. We had apps of cheese dip and elote and were impressed with the vegetarian menu, as one of us never has many choices. So nice to have options! Great food and service, will be back when driving through!"

You can watch as ducks fly over, boats come in for the night and watch planes taking off or landing nearby at John C Tune Airport. It's very peaceful here. Families and date nights alike- this is a good spot for you. If you're looking for a healthy menu, they do have a few options, but we did not try those. The Goods:- free parking in the large lot at the marina- service was excellent. Our server was very attentive. - food was freshly made to order but came out extremely fast - food was really tasty! - Bushwacker (icy chocolatey boozy drink) for the winHere's what we ordered:- Fried cheese curds - we got them "plain" which means they weren't dipped in buffalo sauce. A side of ranch and also marinara are provided and let me tell you- this dish was a delight. So good!- Mahi Mahi Tacos- yum! This dish comes with 2 tacos (you can add a third for $6) and some delicious sauce made with ranch. Also a side that's mixed with black beans & yellow rice. All very good. - French Fries - so crispy with a hint of seasoning and a lot of salt. Just how I like them!- Fried Coconut Shrimp - didn't love that sauce they come with but the shrimp were SO GOOD! The Not So Goods:- You do have to take a ramp from the parking lot to get to the restaurant. I'm not handicap, but I would imagine this ramp might be a little difficult for someone who is. - They don't allow pets on the patio so keep your furry friends at home. I'd love to bring my dog but this isn't a reason to keep me away. - take a jacket or sweatshirt if you sit by the water. It can get chilly. Love that this place is within walking distance in my neighborhood. We will be back!"
"Still love this place! Curry hot pot is vegetarian along with the tomato and melon broth. The sauce bar is great. Place is spotless and clean. Fast service. Kids love the koi pond and the house style tofu with vegetables."
"Sushi is alright here, you get what you pay. However, one thing I commend this restaurant for is being able to recognize what trash looks like. I came here with my cheating ex bf, and they put a staple in his soup. The only reason why I took one star off is because unfortunately, he did not die from this incident and is instead very much alive."
"Came here on a Friday at 6pm with reservations. We ordered some tacos and queso which were both great. The queso was easily large enough for 4 people. Tacos were good albeit not mind blowing for the price. The atmosphere and vibe of the spot really started popping off around 7-8pm. Their rooftop bar has one of the best views of the Nashville skyline I know of. We cant wait to come back and grab drinks with friends here."
"For authentic Cajun fare in the Bellevue area, come to Voodoo Gumbo. The jambalaya was delicious. Their french bread is the best and it makes for an amazing po'boy. The staff is friendly and attentive. They do not assume you are a NOLA native and explain the tastes and options for everything. This is great food to take to go or for delivery. For a quick lunch or delicious dinner, consider Voodoo Gumbo."
"This was a pleasant surprise in the neighborhood. We've passed this place multiple times and we finally stopped in and I'm glad we did. There's ample seating and a super clean establishment. Considering it was cajun style seafood, I was honestly expecting sticky floors and a fishy smell but you get none of that, instead you get greeting friendly and seated in one of the many tables or booths. It's fun because it has the write on the walls type vibe to the place so it's super casual. The menu is pretty simple and you get a good amount of food, but being from Texas, I am so glad for the seasonings that they use. It brought me back to what I hoped it would taste like and it did! I give props to people who can splurge for the king crab combo but their snow crabs are just as tasty. We're a fan!"
"My husband and I first dined at The Marsh House on our very first date three years ago, so it holds a special spot in my heart. While I don't recall what I had on that first visit, this time we arrived early enough to take advantage of their happy hour, which was fantastic. We started with fresh oysters for $1.50 each, followed by the Good Samaritan cocktail ($10), which was similar to a whiskey sour--smooth and refreshing. The Thai beef skewer ($8) had a perfect balance of flavor and spice, making it a great appetizer. For my main course, I had a cup of gumbo, which was delicious, while my husband ordered the hanger steak cooked medium rare. It was done to perfection! To finish the meal, we had their bread pudding, which was absolutely out of this world. The dessert was generously provided on the house, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Our waitress was amazing, offering excellent recommendations that enhanced our experience. For parking, there are several options: paid street parking, a garage, or valet for $8 plus tip.The Marsh House will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to many more visits in the future."
"We just ate on the sushi side. They have a good selection and the price is very reasonable for sushi. The fish was fresh and the presentation of the food was fun. I will be back if I am in the area."
"Looooooove love love. Searched Gumbo in hopes there was anything this side of town. Praise the Lort for this place. Their gumbo is perfection. They just do seafood gumbo because they are a legit seafood store. The roux is divine, large shrimp and crawfish pieces. They had a setup of fresh fish that looked amazing, and selection of other cajun specialties of various sausage, boudin, dips, sauces, AND key lime pie which os not to be missed. The have daily specials for ready to eat dishes, you can special order fish, have them prepare the fish for you, etc. their social media has lots of goodness posted for more details as they are working on getting their website set up better. The staff was super helpful and nice."

The salsa is amazing I highly recommend mixing the red an green it will make it both spicy and flavorful I ordered the mixed fajitas they were delicious and he order the shrimp cocktail it was large and filled him up drinks are cheap at only 3.50 for beer soda is bottled so no refills ;-( FINALLY AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD!! I would give it five stars except there menus are out dated so when we got the bill one of the meals was five dollars more expensive. Not to big deal but a few dollars off on each meal Is about 15-20 more expensive at the end

We ate at this quaint on the water seafood grill for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Started with calamari and then The blackened mahi mahi sandwich both were delicious, perfectly prepared. Also had the Po Boy (not on menu with catfish) and love it too! Great atmosphere and service. Chelsea was delightful. All The staff were helpful when asked for something extra. Ended with the famous Bush Wacker! Yum!!!

This place earned five stars. The staff welcomed me with smiles as I walk in unannounced for a take out order. The gentleman greeted me with a menu. Ordered the Spicy Crawfish Roll and Shrimp Mei Fun, I would go here weekly.

Found this delicious spot when searching for tacos on a whim! We tried the Barbacoa tacos and the salsa trio, and we will definitely be back to try more. The service was great, the vibe was fun and eclectic, and the menu was fantastic.

Visit Restaurant Page"Don Julio Mexican Grill in Whites Creek, Tennessee is a great Mexican restaurant in the Whites Creek/Joelton area. The outside of this restaurant is pretty much rather plain and the inside is humble, but what makes this restaurant shine is both the incredible service and the food. They brought me some chips and salsa and honestly, it was pretty mediocre and was akin to an off-brand supermarket salsa. Fortunately, my entree was light years superior and definitely worthy of praise.I went with one of the burritos, which at just under ten dollars ($9.99 to be exact), was quite an amazing deal. It was also very good.Don Julio Mexican Grill is a great option if you are either in Joelton or Whites Creek and craving Mexican food. I was definitely impressed, especially considering that this restaurant is in a more rural area where dining options are not plentiful. I will give Don Julio Mexican Grill five stars overall and it definitely earned my recommendation."
"We've been going here for years. The current owners our doing a fine job. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening until karaoke started. The food was served promptly. The fish and chips were delicious! Our British friends approved. I loved that they were using biodegradable straws to help the aquatic life. Karaoke was WAY too loud and only one person got up from the crowd. The dj's young daughter sang. Great to give a child experience but she was also way to loud and definitely needed to be turned down. Another family was there with their dog. The dog was well behaved but the two children were running around the tables. I felt sorry for the staff dodging the kids. The interior could use a bit of love. I liked the ladies room was reconfigured. Cherokee was doing a fine job."
"Happy to have a new sushi restaurant in Nashville that is actually good! Unfortunately it is decently pricey, but the fish is fresh and rolls are nicely executed. We had an assortment of rolls and dishes, and would probably get them all again. We started off with some appetizers: lemon calamari, karaage, and fried prawns. All were good but prawns were especially fun in a nice creamy sauce, but karaage was a little unexpected - kind of more a battered chicken nugget, rather than then crispy, craggly Japanese karaage I'm used to at ramen shops. It was still enjoyable but the weakest of the dishes. The appetizer portions were sufficient, but would have appreciated a little more.As for mains: - Angry Fish was one of our favorites with a topping of eel sauce and creamy sauce. Somewhat Americanized with the sauces but we still loved it- Flash Flood was also awesome - great amount of poke on top- Spicy Scallop was basic but had nice big chunks of scallops- Spicy Taste was actually quite hot and fun, a little too spicy for some of us but I liked. It- Red Mango Crunch was good with a generous amount of tempura crunch, mango was not overpowering - Cherry blossom tasted fresh and had a cute presentation- Tuna Tartar was good but a little too sweet for me- Has a few nigiris (hotate, amaebi, walu, ikura) which were all nice a fresh - loved that they served the amaebi (sweet shrimp) with the incredibly crispy fried shrimp headsAppreciated the good service as well! Overall nice new sushi joint, just be prepared as it is more upscale rather than affordable.*If you're looking for a deal, check out their Sake Tuesday happy hour from 4p-9p - 50% off sake bottles (cheapest is $30 after discount) and $10 classic maki (simple rolls, but highly recommend the Spicy Scallop and Spicy Lobster...the Dynamite is also fun if you like fried rolls). All pics are from Sake Tuesday - forgot to photograph our group dinner"
"Have had my eye on Mariscos Sayulita Nayarit but it's on the other side of town and I would pass three places I enjoy just to get out there. Today I took the drive out there so I could check them off my list and I now regret waiting so long. This place is clean, bright, nicely decorated, and the staff is extremely friendly even with my poor Spanish. I took a seat at the bar and Elisa (sp) took my beer order and all of a sudden a server brought me a plate I didn't order (it was complimentary). The dish was called Tostada de Ceviche Marlin and it's marinated Marlin on a tortilla shell with diced tomato and celery. I gave it a try and it is fresh with a light "pickled" flavor, and with the garnishment is really quite good. The chips and salsa was served and I really liked the salsa, mild, a nice flavor, and you can tell it's made in-house. This menu can take you a bit to study and while Nayarit style seafood is the emphasis, there are many traditional Mexican dishes available too. After watching dishes being served to various tables (that looked incredible) I decided on the Fajitas Sayulita which one of the waitresses gave me a two thumbs-up! This consisted of bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, ribs, fajita steak & chicken, along with traditional sides. My first bite was some of the chicken with the onions & peppers on a tortilla and it was a "WOW" moment...great flavor and very tender. Loved the bacon wrapped shrimp which were also filled with queso cheese...these are addicting. Everything on the platter was great...some of the best fajita flavors around. Overall this dish is a real standout and I am looking forward to trying some of the seafood offerings. ALL of the servers were great answering questions and making me feel welcome. For me...this spot is well worth the trek across town to enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine."
"Stayed at this hotel and decided to have an early dinner at the bar, got the bartender signature cocktail which was amazing and the steak sandwich. The sandwich was good, some parts of the steak were a little chewy but the fries were so good!!! The service, drink and bartender was excellent."
"Ehhh.....we heard so many great things about this place and really wanted to like it. First time visiting and had questions, but felt rushed to place an order mind you there was no one else in the establishment at the time. We were told it would be 10 minutes for our food, which was fine seeing that it's cooked fresh. It was about 20 minutes before we got our order only for it to not be correct, but I blame that on the fact the man at the register seemed to be in such a rush to where he put everything I ordered in wrong. I was told it would be another 10 before it could be fixed. Get home to sit down and try it all and it seems like everything was fried in the same oil. The chicken had a burnt taste along with a fish like smell, hush puppies were rather crispy, shrimp rubbery and fried too hard, and the fish's breading separated from the meat. The pizza puff was ok, it was probably the best thing we ordered. Ask for mild sauce with whatever you get because it definitely adds that extra kick. Go try for yourself. I hope you have a better experience than we did. Maybe one day we will give it another try!"
"Our gang of four enjoyed our steak dinner. Friendly, attentive service.Steaks come with a single choice of side, salad bar, and bread if you ask for it. Salad bars take a lot of attention and was kept clean. We chose a Ribeye and Filet Mignon cooked to our order medium-rare with fully loaded baked potato.Seating was mostly couples and tables of four. Larger groups were in another room.Full bar. Private parking lot. Open for dinner Tues-Sunday, lunch Tues-Fri, and brunch only on Sunday.Convenient from BNA airport and The HermitageOverall good value for a steak dinner. The steak was of very good quality and taste.Reservation is essential. Two Small Gripes: * The baked potato had the consistency of a steamed baked potato* Bread was soft like you get at a wedding at a Holiday Inn."
"I really like Nashville hot chicken and someone recommended I try Helen's I'm so I gave it a shot for lunch yesterday. The hot sandwich was more like a medium (not unbearable at all) the chicken itself was good but the sandwich was kind of a mess. The cheese wasn't melted, and the bread kind of fell apart eating it.It's a better value and option than a chic-fil-a sandwich at a similar price point. It just wasn't better than the sandwich I had at prince's or HB's.Glad I tried it, but it's my least favorite of the three by a pretty wide margin."
"If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant with a neighborhood feel, this is the place! We're always greeted warmly & absolutely love to sit outside on the covered patio. Despite being on a busy street, the road noise is always minimal. The food comes out fast, hot & flavorful. Our go-to dishes are the white queso dip, street tacos & the burritos. Love that we can try out margarita flights & enjoy their new wine choices."
"Just wanted to add photos of my recent order. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered something I've never had! I ordered Pad Kee Mao and it was different but so good! It did need a little salt but once I added salt it couldn't be more perfect. Just a comforting dish of stir fried noodles and veggies! I got Thai hot but thankfully they gave me a few little sides of spicy so I can make it spicier. I love super super spicy tho. And I ordered the sticky rice in Banana leaf which I think had red beans in it and some sort of yummy filling, it was truly delicious! And I ordered the coconut custard which as always delicious. It's super light and subtle in flavor, slightly sweet. Literally love this place. And the customer service is so great, they are super friendly!! The authenticity here will always bring me back!"
"From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The food, the service, the ambiance. Impeccable without being stuffy. Everything was perfectly cooked, and absolutely gorgeous. And the views....spectacular. If you really want a WOW experience, this is the place to go. I can't wait to go back."
"I'm always on the lookout for great Mexican food. I guess growing up in the SouthWest makes me partial to Mexican cuisine. A trip to the Nashville airport is a looooong one, so we stopped in Cookeville, the halfway point between Knoxville and the Nashville Airport for a bite of lunch. Naturally, we Yelped Mexican restaurants and after pursuing the extensive list, we decided on Rey's. One of the reasons for choosing this restaurant was their most recent health score of 100%.The restaurant is not far off the freeway, perhaps a half mile. It is near a hotel and has a bar area as well as a large general dining area. A Covid notice was posted at the host stand which asked the standard questions and assured customers that they followed Covid protocol. The restaurant was clean and attractively decorated. We were immediately seated and our server, Alyssa, asked for our drink order and then brought them back and took our order. There were three adults and two children in our party, and everyone ordered different entrees. My daughter had enchiladas which she said were some of the best she has tasted. My wife and I both had chimichangas, she had the shredded chicken and I had the fajita chicken. We asked that they be extra crispy with queso on the side and they were delicious. Our granddaughter had cheese nachos and all our grand-baby wanted was guacamole (at 11-months old, she is a guacamole connoisseur. Each entree was delivered at the same time to our table, piping hot and beautifully plated. Food and service are the most important issues at a restaurant. Our server, Alyssa, was attentive and pleasant and the food was outstanding. This place deserves your attention and patronage."
"Fantastic place for a company dinner. Compliments to the chef, whom our associate knows way back. He took care of us, thank you! I will think about these bread loaves for years to come. I had 4. Incredibly buttery and wet and burnt a little on top. So tearable and soft. I could eat them all day. I got the redfish, recommended by our excellent waiter. It was delicious. The Brussel sprouts on the side were yum and so was the squash mix underneath the fish. Bits of something on the side were so flavorful as well. Dessert of the coconut cake and chocolate cake were good. The chocolate cake was stand-out worthy. Nice lighting and ambiance."
"Came by here with my mom one day to grab a late lunch to go. They weren't super busy but had a decent crowd. The bar was pretty busy and looked like it would be a cool place to hang out with friends. Our meals were pretty good, but need to come back and dine in, in order to get the real experience"
"Since I used to live in Texas I know this steakhouse very well. So, of course I'm going to go here while I'm in Nashville! I so missed these grass fed certified angus steaks! Nobody does it like this place. The ribeye was tender, juicy and buttery with that slightly smoked flavor. The Caesar salad is so yummy that I asked for the dressing recipe.. yeah, they wouldn't give it to me. It has just the right amount of salty, cheesiness. The bread is sweet and makes me think I'm being healthy eating wheat but once I slather that honey butter on it then it feels like a treat to myself. The service I received was exceptional and she deserved the extra tip!! I would go back to Saltgrass anytime. This is an upscale but casual vibe. The good upscale bit you can come in wearing shorts and a ball cap during the lunch hour.If you ever get the chance, definitely go to a Saltgrass Steakhouse.. there is one in Florida close to the Disney World Resort for those Disney fans, but I haven't found one in California yet."
"It looks like just a house on the outside, but man is it delicious! You place your order first and sit down. My husband got a surf and turf po boy, and I got the fried shrimp platter. Both entrees were huge and packed with flavor. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the spices were tasty. The fries were crispy on the outside too. The servers were kind, and so were the bar tenders. The second half of the restaurant is a bar and is a great place to have a drink while waiting for food. Their drink pack a punch too! There are numerous tables inside and out as well. This is the best Cajun food in Nashville!"
"I've come here for dinner once but have been wanting to try the Gospel brunch and what better day than to come for Easter Sunday. As soon as I walked in, I could hear the beautiful angelic voices of the amazing artists. We chose to sit on the patio which was covered today but gave a nice breeze for the day. Our waiter was very attentive and walked us through the brunch menu but also letting us know that the majority of items on their dinner menu was also available to order. I ordered the chophouse omelet and a pineapple mimosa. The omelet was really good but a bit salty at times. The mimosa was really good. On the menu they only had a regular mimosa but I asked if they can do one with pineapple juice and they made it for me! The patio is away from the live music but at times they had some old school Gospel tunes playing on the speakers which was niceOverall, the music was amazing but would definitely plan to sit indoors next time just to hear the live music better but the food and atmosphere was really good. Highly recommend this place whether you're coming with your friends, family or a date, this restaurant is a nice treat The restaurant offers valet which was $17 today"
"This is was delicious. The meal I have gotten here was on the money. Didn't care too much for the fries but the fish and shrimps were bussin'. The service was very welcoming, love the young woman that took care of us. You hang in side, there screens with the games on... and they service little something something behind the counter if you want sip while hanging out. Live, love, and laugh. -Sha"
"Perry's Steakhouse & Grille is an extremely solid choice if you are looking for a steakhouse in the Franklin, Tennessee area. It has the atmosphere that captures an upscale dining experience and thos ambiance is only enhanced by stellar service and fantastic food. The steaks are an incredible experience and definitely worth the money. This type of dinner is an indulgent treat and is a great choice for any type of celebration (and sometimes just having a great day is a cause for such a celebration).Perry's Steakhouse & Grille has been around since 1979 when they opened their first location in Houston, Texas. From that humble first location, they have become a small chain of upscale steakhouses across seven states. After dining here, it is easy to see why they have been successful. They offer a great dining experience and hit the high note on the food, ambiance, and staff. If you are looking for an upscale dining experience, I would definitely recommend a visit to this particular location of Perry's Steakhouse & Grille."
"We had never been to Firebirds before so we didn't know what to expect. So I decided to take my wife to Firebirds. Parking:The parking was absolutely horrible I wish there were dedicated spots specifically for this restaurant because it's connected with other business, BUT I have to be clear even though the parking sucked this does not take away the experience we had nor does it take away the five stars I'm giving it. Atmosphere When you walk in the lights were deemed which I absolutely loved. This gives off the ultimate Valentines Day Experience in my opinion. You could also smell the many different flavors of food they were preparing so my eye were wide open excited ready to look at the menu and taste one of the many different flavors I was smelling. Customer Service The customer service was absolutely amazing. Everyone was very friendly. FoodThe food I ordered was the Tomahawk Porkchop with fries. This food was absolutely amazing. At first the got my chop at medium well but they quickly resolved it by giving me another one. They apologized about it. I informed them that it wasn't a big deal because I understood they were extremely busy. This wasn't an issue to me because they resolved it and very friendly. Once I got my food though everything was great. The food was the exact flavor I was smelling. The food was good. The customer service was good. It was a win win a minus the parking. Total for my chop and fries were28.99 before taxes. We will be back!"
"Mexican seafoood just a while different ballgame. If you are adventurous go get yourself sone mariscos at this joint bc it's very unique around these parts. This is not a place to get chicken nachos, queso, bottomless salsa, maragariatas..It is a joint with authentic Mexican seafood. The ambiance isn't spectacular. It's not cheap but good seafood isn't cheap and at least you're not paying extra for the bells and whistles. These guys really try and succeed on delivering quality to the table. Great spot for a true foodie looking to explore amd appreciate something special. Tried ceviche amd fried whole grouper (with amazing sauce on side) and both delicious I've had the shrimp coctel 5x now and it's always fantastic. Support these cats. You lucky to have em if this is your hood!"
"Worth the hype for sure! Got the catfish and shrimp combo. Everything well lived up to the reputation of a true Southern eatery!"
