Ichiban

I love the sushi here. Everything is at reasonable prices as well. Just don't make the mistake of going on Tuesdays because they are closed. For some reason Yelp says they are open on Tuesday but they're not.

Passing through and stopped into Ichiban. Was quickly greeted and sat. Our sever was excellent and attentive. It took a bit to get our food but once it came was all delicious. With exception of the steak. TERRIBLE. I just ate the shrimp. The steak tasted old and extremely cheap. Usually hibachi steak is the best. This not so much. Overall, I would eat again. (Just skip the steak lol)

This place is so delicious and the price is cheaper than most sushi places. They are my favorite sushi place. Everything that I have tasted there is really good.

Food was hot, fresh, and well priced. The service was outstanding, my drink was never empty. The environment was very peaceful, and calming due to the dim lights and sound of the grills going. Definitely a well known spot during dinner time. I recommend getting there for an early dinner or you'll have a less peaceful experience!

This is a quite nice restaurant. It is reasonably large, reasonably clean and neat, and reasonably comfortable. They are obviously concerned with social distancing. All staff were wearing masks, there is hand sanitizer on all tables.Considering we went on a Monday night, it was surprisingly busy. The service is fair in a cafe-ish sort of way. So, what about the food. We ordered calamari, miso soup, tempura, a dragon roll, vegetable maki roll and a couple of drinks. The calamari was quite nice, the tempura was also quite good although the batter was a little heavy. The sushi was also good but not great and the drinks were cold. The miso soup was very forgettable. It was watery and tasteless. It appeared to me to be a packet mix which was mixed with too much water which was not as hot as it should be. The waitress confirmed the origin of the soup was indeed a packet.Miso soup is a Japanese staple and as a Japanese restaurant, the soup, which is simple to make, should have reflected this.The bottom line is this restaurant is as good as any in Springfield but might struggle in competition with restaurants of a similar Asian bent. But, we may well return as, with the exception of the soup, the food was reasonably good.

Coming from Florida where sushi is alway fresh and delicious, I was a little worried when we moved here. But I have to say, this place has great sushi rolls and the sushi/sashimi was fresh! Definitely recommend.

Me and my friends go here all the time. The food is good, i highly recommend the chicken fried rice meal. The servers are all very nice from what I have experienced and the wait time has never been super duper long for me! Just depends on the size of your party. The lights are pretty dim in there but overall has a very nice environment! Also they are closed on Tuesdays!

Food is wonderful, service is pretty good. Great place for celebrating occasions. Prices are a little high

I am allergic to Mammalian Meat. I have told them this. No Beef No Pork No byproducts, They put me in the Emergency Room because they did not listen.
