"I have passed Tower for years and always thought it was a liquor store for some reason...should have checked Yelp long ago! Once I discovered they were slinging sammies, I made it point to stop by immediately! Tower Market and Deli is first, a sandwich shop offering a wide variety of breakfast and lunch style sandwiches from hot to cold, plain to creative...and they even make burgers! In addition to the sandwiches, they have a small market space with chips, snacks, essentials, drinks, milks, etc...and lastly, they have a coffee bar where you can get basic coffee style drinks from cold brew to lattes. When I stopped by I was after a sandwich, but wasn't sure which one I was going to try...until I saw the East Nasty! A sandwich spot on the west end of town has a sandwich called the West Nasty, and it has forever been my favorite sammy in the city. So, naturally when I saw this Eastside dup, I had to get it! The East Nasty is a hot sandwich served on ciabatta with a thin fried cutlet topped with ham, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos and a house made sauce. It is phenomenal! I sided it their house fried chips, which honestly were a bit over fried sadly. Service was friendly and helpful. They called me out when I walked in, helped me on my sandwich decision journey and were friendly at turnover and checkout. Oh, forgot to mention that if you are interested in enjoying your goods onsite, they do have a small area inside of the market with tables and counters.Overall, glad to know Tower is a legit sandwich spot. While a bottle of vodka is good, a solid sandwich is better!"
"C'mon Yelp. The bread is what makes a great Banh Mi, and this bread is really nothing special whatsoever. A Banh Mi baguette should be nicely toasted and buttered, IMO. The ingredients here are good and fresh enough, but the baguette is what is supposed to keep you coming back - too bad InterAsian Market & Deli doesn't seem to have the bread skills to back up what they've got going inside.Disappointing, as this Yelp listing seemed to have the underpinnings and potential for something great. A grocery store with easy access to fresh veggies making sandwiches in the back - sounds like a slow pitch home run derby to me - it should be easy enough, but alas, they just need to execute a little better.Pleasant shopkeepers, clean store with plenty of cooking necessities and a good selection of standard Asian grocery store items. Just far from a great Banh Mi. I got an Original ($6) and a Veggie Tofu ($6) and both were let down by their cold, dense bread rolls. A Banh Mi is all about the baguette, folks."
"I came here for the first time this morning and I believe I'm in love! I just moved here from the northeast and have been missing a good bagel. I ordered the nova bagel with lox and cream cheese on a spinach everything bagel. I was a very happy girl to say the least. The girls that work here are super sweet and helpful when ordering. I also ordered the lavender honey latte which was just delish. A little bit of the downside is the parking and the wait but honestly... its worth it."
"Mitchell's has quickly become our go-to lunch spot - and everything we've tried so far from their expansive menu has been incredibly tasty!I highly recommend ordering ahead online if possible ... especially on the weekend. If you do brave the dine-in line on a Saturday or a Sunday, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes ... and you may have to quickly stake your claim on a table after ordering. The interior of the restaurant is casual and comforting, with almost a "local diner" feel to it. The outdoor patio is spacious and covered!Of the several sammies I've sampled, the Pastrami and Swiss is my favorite. I also quite liked their Turkey Brie, which is a unique take on the classic. We have yet to try any of their breakfast options ... but that's only because I always seem to be in more of a "lunch mood" when I'm ordering. I'm sure that will change one of these days."
"Two of us dropped in for a casual lunch; I live around the corner and love Ellington's but never got to check this place out. Had a really great bagel with some scallion spread and a bowl of matzoh ball soup. The cobb salad was fabulous as was the service and setting. This place sells bagels AND LOAVES of bread to go!Check it out."
"Eastwood Deli is just what you would expect: a neighborhood deli catering to a small audience and providing quick, tasty, comfortable food. This is a good thing. Set in *the* shopping/food complex you think of when you think of Eastwood (and in, I believe, the old The Wild Cow spot), you can expect easy parking, an efficient - but bustling - crowd, and lots of children underfoot.I had yet to get to the grocery store, so I was making my daily trek in search of lunch. Trying to trick myself into a healthy option, I decided I'd come here for a salad -- a fried chicken salad. I fully admit to trying to trick myself.* I don't know the sandwich experience here but, for salad eating, it couldn't be easier. The options were grab and go right by the cashier. I suppose you could get a salad made to order but in my case, I looked for what I wanted, grabbed it, paid, and went about my way. E-Z.I came back home, thought about dumping the goodies into a bowl but chose not to do so seeing as the container it came in was sturdy and I didn't feel like loading another dish into the washer.** My fried chicken salad came packed with fried chicken tenders (with seasoning in the breading), romaine &mixed greens, cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, bacon, pecans, and cucumber paired with an addictive honey mustard dressing. This salad won't win any health awards but it will fire up the endorphins and satisfy your belly. Just writing about it makes me want one... and I just had lunch!*My mind, not my body.**I understand the obnoxiousness of the action."
"11/18/23: The reason I had to walk across a highway after breakfast.BIg Al and Miss Andrea are so personable and welcoming. He is at the grill cooking up deliciousness. She takes the orders and handles the flow of customers. My travel buddy suggested this spot I'm not a big fan of "regular breakfast items, eggs, pancakes etc so when I saw the menu had alternate items such as Porkchops and shrimps and grits I quickly called. Big Al himself picked up and stated he had one more and do I want him to hold it. Heck yes was my response.Upon arrival he asked were you the one that called I said yes he replied you look as you sound New York...lol.Folks please note it is a small establishment in the event you need to wait it will have to be outside. Once it was our turn we ordered the Porkchops...folks the "one pork chop" he saved was 3 huge pieces. It came with potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit. We also ordered the shrimp and grits with crab, biscuits with sausage gravy and cinnamon roll.Portions were huge although we shared we still each had leftovers to take. The sausage gravy for the biscuits had chunks of sausage, it was well seasoned and spicy we have like 4 biscuits. As our hotel was not far about a 10 minute walk we decided to walk instead of calling for the hotel shuttle that dropped us off. When in Nashville this a MUST but plan accordingly as its first come first serve. It's basically similar to mom and pop establishment so do not look for fine dining the cups plates etc mismatch which I think adds to the character. So happy we partaked and happy to say we dined at Big Al's."
"I love this place. Food is always fresh and tasty. Service is always quick and excellent. Absolutely recommend!"
"I was pretty surprised about how busy it was and now good the food was! It reminded me of comfort food from Waffle House but 2 or 3 steps above that. I got the Lox, Eggs, and Onion, which is literally why it sounds like, scrambled together. The saltiness of the lox tastes really good with the eggs. It also came with silver dollar potato cakes that were homemade and crispy. I'd probably come back, to be honest"

Ordered a sandwich, tots, coffee and cookies via Uber eats. Sandwich came with a pickle which was good. Sandwich itself was decent although I ended up taking out the very thick American cheese. Coffee was way too bitter and the cookies came with parchment stuff to them. I think they're just from the premade frozen nestle dough. Tots weren't even remotely crispy so I ate 1 to try and tossed the rest.

February 2021: THEY NOW ACCEPT CARDS! $10 minimum purchase. Have I tried it? No. I am so used to paying cash that I haven't dared try it here, but it's advertised! I've been coming to this shop since I was a kid. The owner is quite particular, so you'll see signs like don't put your things on the counter. But it's all common sense, and the store is tidy and neat. And of course I have to mention the banh mi. Sandwiches are so fresh and delicious. I really appreciate the small cucumbers used inside the sandwich! If you're looking for the roast pork, come early on the weekends. It sells out FAST.

Amazing bagels!!!!! Can't say enough good things about this place. We ordered online & it was ready right when we got there. There were a decent amount of seats inside, but it was very crowded, so we ended up taking it to-go. They had lots of bagel options & even more cream cheese options that were unique and can't find anywhere else. They also had matzo ball soup and other various deli/market items like kale salad, chicken salad and bakery items. We tried the chocolate ganache bar & it was sooo good. If I lived in Nashville - I think I would go back every weekend.

We ate at Mitchell's Delicatessen because we had seen it on Tennessee Crossroads. We had been wanting to try other sandwiches besides hot chicken and this was near where we were staying in Nashville. They had a simple menu consisting mostly of sandwiches and they also had a $11.99 a pound salad bar inside. They place was clean and nice but we chose to eat outside since it was a nice sunny day. We enjoyed our sandwiches and would recommend this place if you our in the mood for sandwiches.

This place is old school cool, I can visualize a young Steve McQueen sitting in the corner watching the door. Friendly and professional but not obtuse service at the bar. Great tasting coffee. Batman and Robin I'm a fight scene playing on the wall. Bagel is not quite chewy enough to be a real NY/NJ bagel but the cream cheese is perfect.

Thank god to Uber eats for recommending this place! We were staying at the Gaylord and looking to Uber eats some easy lunch and this came up! We got the fiesta chicken sandwich and the Wareen club. They got the order exactly right with all customizations and it was stilled heated and toasted when it arrived!!! One of the best deliveries u have gotten and the food was great. These sandwiches were big and delicious. The club was packed with meat and the chicken was tender. Overall we had a great experience and it was awesome! Delicious lunch worth the price and can't wait to try more things on the menu! Thanks for getting our order right and saving us from really boring hotel food!

This is our favorite Greek spot, hands down. The food is so good, and you get so much food for the price. We come here from Nolensville at least once a week! If you're into hole-in-the-wall spots with great food, you will love this place.
Visit Restaurant Page"So awesome to be able to visit the long awaited brick and mortar of Fatbelly Pretzel! Situated in a small plaza on Gallatin Ave in East Nashville, Fatbelly was a welcome addition! Recently had a friend in town and I knew exactly where we needed to go, so we ended up at Fatbelly around 11:00 AM. My pal wanted breakfast and I wanted lunch, and we both wanted a pretzel. He got the Breakfast Sando with bacon, which is pre-made, but kept hot and still quite tasty. I opted for the Hamma Mia! lunch special and we shared a plain salted pretzel. The Hamma Mia! sounded delish, but when it arrived to the table I was blown away by how much ham, salami, mozzarella, artichoke cream, chili crisp, balsamic drizzle and arugula they stuffed between that beautiful sourdough focaccia! I had to formulate a plan to eat this thing and was only able to tackle half of it. Absolutely gorgeous and tasty sammy! The pretzel was solid...and I weirdly learned that Fatbelly is a variety of pretzel. When you first see their pretzels you think to yourself "man those are skinny but also weirdly imperfect pretzels"...and they are. They are certainly not the prettiest pretzels, but the "fatbelly" signifies skinny and chewy arms with a soft, fat belly. Makes total and tasty sense now! Service was stellar and friendly. Overall, loved visiting and love having Fatbelly in the neighborhood now!"
"Love this late night spot for a sandwich and a drink. Super punk rock and worth experiencing if you are in the area. Pretty decent selection of beers in tap and lengthy mixed drink options. Priced like a college town. The feel is small and dark in a good cozy way. Music is always pretty on point and the staff is friendly and quick to help. They also have these epic late night hot or cold sandwiches that on first trip I thought I was just overly excited because I had two beers, but then I returned and started with a bite before beer and it exceeded my expectations. They have some really great options and quality ingredients for a bar open until 3am. This is my bookmarked spot I always stop in for."
"We seem to make our way to this deli every time we visit Nashville.Went with the SEC this time. It'll feed two humans or half a Vol linebacker. And it's delish! Family owned and operated. These are hard working folks who churn out consistently great food every day. Go local. Pay cash. Leave a tip."
"Seated quickly and our server was fast and helpful.I ordered the Bacon, spinach, cheese omelette which was delicious. The omelette was hot and very generous in size. I ordered the slice tomatoes for the side and they were 3 huge slices and very tasty. My wife ordered two eggs and ham- the eggs were cooked exactly the way she requested. Her side was potatoes which are small pancake shaped, delightfully crispy on the outside and soft and yummy inside. Our server kept our coffee cups full with steaming hot coffee. We left very full and satisfied!"
"Huge, tasty sandwiches! We shared some sandwiches and they were really good. The aioli sauce made a nice flavor that made the sandwich super savory. The fries tasted very fresh and paired well with the sauce they give you. It's a small space, so plan on taking it to go, but it's great for a quick lunch. We will be back soon!"
"This was a good find. They have a good variety of sandwiches on the menu, as well as tacos, breakfast, a number of side dish and salad options, and more. From the outside this place looks almost like it might be a dive bar. But don't be fooled! This is a good spot for a meal any time of day.So far my favorite has been The Cuban sandwich. The pork was tender and juicy, and the overall flavors were great. I've also had The Legend sandwich, which was good, though the roast beef wasn't super tender. The staff is helpful, and the food gets prepared quickly. Definitely a good place when you need a quick meal. They have tables both inside and out, and of course you can also get your food to go if you want.Overall a solid sandwich (and breakfast) spot that I'll definitely visit again."
"Super cute sandwich type shop where you order at the counter and can sit inside or out. It's off the main road about 2 doors down. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a side of pasta salad. My son enjoyed the pasta salad a lot. He just felt like he needed more of it. My sandwich was tasty but not as filling as I was hoping for the price. It came on a white style bread and had I had known, I would have asked for. Different bread option. Because the pasta salad didn't fill up my son, he took the other half of my sandwich. The chicken salad was super smooth and had small crunchy pieces of pecans. There might have been grapes too Overall it was good, just a little pricy for what I got."
"I will never stop promoting this beautiful spot. It is just outside of the city, and worth every bit of the drive. It is not open often, but it is always a delight. They specialize in British fare, and all the menu items are delicious, you cannot go wrong with anything! Service is so friendly, I have only had good experiences here!"
"Was a favorite stop at its old location and i am thrilled to find out i have been missing it in its "new" spot for nearly 2 years. Great country cooking and southern charm. Just a little ways outside of downtown franklin. Great lunches!"
