"I LOVE HONG KONG! They always have amazing service and are my family's go to for chinese food. Food gets out quick and delicious"
"Food and service were both excellent. The inside is pretty small but we were seated in a booth right away. I also must mention that it smelled AMAZING inside. I couldn't decide what to get since everything sounded so good. Our waitress, May, helped me decide on the pineapple curry. It was a little more spicy than I expected but it still tasted good! I also tried some of my friend's pad thai was so very good. The team at Rice Box was very friendly and attentive at refilling our drinks and getting our orders in. It is also right next to a Kroger in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking."

We are new to town and have started the exhausting search for all of our go-to delivery spots, so this past week the craving for Chinese delivery hit and we ended up ordering China Dragon through UberEats. Delivery time from order to delivery was solid. No complaints at all. It was on time and everything was as it should be. Delivery fee was a little painful, but when you have to use a third party app, that is expected. Food wise we went for a few classics. Sesame Chicken, House Lo Mein and Wonton Soup. The Sesame Chicken combination platter was served with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was a little tough and the sauce was too thick, plus the "fried rice" was more steamed yellow rice and frozen veggies...The House Lo Mein was ok. It is supposed to have a healthy mix of pork, beef, chicken and shrimp along with the lo mien and veggies, however there were about 5 shrimp, a few pieces of pork and a couple small pieces of chicken. I usually judge a Chinese spot off of their wonton soup, as it is an easy classic dish with very few parts...and while they passed on the broth (chicken instead of beef!), the noodles were gummy and the crispies seemed stale. Maybe we just hit it on an off night? At this point, the search for our go-to Chinese delivery spot is still ongoing..."
"Still open, but for take out and delivery only. No dine-in available. We ordered a ton of food for only $35 with tip, nice. The food was flavorful, but nothing was amazing. The highlights we're the pork low mein and the Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef had great flavor, but not enough beef! It was 50/50 onions to beef. The low mein was great, lots of textures and surprisingly light. Don't forget the veggie springs roll, always a must order! Only a couple of low lights to the meal. The fried rice seemed old and dried out and General Tso's chicken was basically orange chicken. Still had good flavor, but zero heat. AM Chinese Food is one-hundred percent worth another try, but next time we'll sample a few different menu items."
"I think maybe this place was still getting back into the in-person dining groove when I arrived as it was not crowded inside but was doing plenty of takeout business. I'm happy not to need a reservation, but I'd argue it should be busier as this was tasty stuff.Promising Chinese with a Southern American influence, this place delivered one of the more magnificent egg rolls you'll ever see, with a filling heavy on raddichio and a sharply contrasting pineapple-flavored sauce. My tofu dish came with peanuts and mala onions which had a hint of Sichuan peppercorn flavor. I opted not to order rice, and the dish was quite delicious without. A zingy non-alcoholic beverage completed my meal."
"China Spring is my new go-to for quick serve, tasty, bountiful and well priced Chinese food! China Spring is located in the Kroger shopping plaza on Highway 100 and like most Mom and Pop Chinese spots, there is not a whole lot to it. They are still not allowing dine-in, but you can walk-in and wait inside for your order. They do a lot of call-in and online orders, but I happened to get a craving for Sesame Chicken right as I was walking into Kroger, so I popped over, ordered and then went to do my shopping while they prepared it. I was in Kroger for about 15 - 20 minutes and by the time I popped back in to China Spring, they had me all ready to go! In addition to being impressed by the service, the food was solid as well! I ordered Sesame Chicken with Fried Rice and a Wonton Soup. The Wonton Soup was great. The broth was nice and light, but still flavorful and it was packed with wontons! I do wish they gave you more crispies with it, but I will know to ask next time! The sesame chicken was excellent and bountiful! They do not waste your time with a bunch of broccoli filler on the plate, you get 99% chicken, which no one is complaining about! The chicken was covered in that sweet sauce, but still held its crispiness. The rice, which yellow and I am still getting used to that since moving to Nashville, was packed in a container and equally delicious! Overall, massively impressed with China Spring and will certainly be back...and back and back again!"
"Dumpling House is the perfect addition to Hillsboro Village. Their dumplings are legit, and this is coming from a second generation Chinese-American immigrant whose mother makes some delectable homemamde jiaozi and baozi. These are slightly small in my opinion, but the flavors are on point and the chew of the dumpling skin is perfection. These will cost you a pretty penny if you eat as many dumplings as I do, but if you have a craving, it's worth it. Plus, they also serve up some impressive boba teas and soups on the side. I personally love their pork and chive dumplings, but you can't go wrong with ordering. Their curry beef and onion reminds me of a curry dumpling from a chain I used to get habitually in Taiwan and HK. Honestly, you can't go wrong in any of your orders. There's mostly street parking here, so time your visit accordingly. If you don't mind a slight walk, you can always find a free spot near the park a few blocks away."
"We've lived here over four years and regret only now discovering HunanExpress. We ordered online and used the drive through so I didn't notice if they are seating inside. We got Hunan tofu over fried rice and LoMein with tofu. Both dishes were quite similar, the biggest difference being one was over rice and one over LoMein noodles. They both were full of vegetables and somewhat milder in spice than I anticipated so I was glad I'd asked for hot chili oil on the side. Each entree was enough for two meals and under $7 each. The small cup of hot sour soup was also mild, but flavorful. All dishes were piping hot so ready to eat when we got home. We'll definitely be picking up dinner here again, especially since eating out now during the pandemic is proving difficult."
"Chinese dumplings make for a great snack or you can eat a bunch for a meal. Steam Boys has classic flavors and they are tasty. We always enjoy the boba here.Friedly, laid-back attitude makes for a relaxing meal. Our order was delivered promptly."

If we're talking Nashville Chinese take out I'd say this is one of the better options. It's your pretty standard American Chinese takeout menu but everything we got was tasty and hit the spot. It was delivered quick everything was hot when arrived so can't complain.

This is my comfort Chinese restaurant. I used to go for lunch when I worked near by now I get it delivered for dinner. I love their wonton soup and their sweet and sour chicken. Best part about the chicken is the sauce is on the side so the chicken doesn't get soggy. The wonton soup is like the one I grew up on. It's pork only no shrimp. I've only ever had good meals and service here. Is it high need, no, is it super authentic, probably not. Is it comfort food for me yes. When I'm sick I want their wonton soup.

So I was very disappointed with the food. We spent a pretty penny and neither my husband nor myself enjoyed it. We waited a minute to get serviced after we got seated but customer service was decent. Overall was an ok experience. Will not come back.

In a nutshell: Gluten free Szechuan fusion paradise. I had family in town for the holidays, 2 of whom have been to China. After hosting Chinese international students for years, my family has become so fond of regional flavors, especially Ma La, the zingy and numbing spice found in Szechuan food. I also have many gluten free people in our party and one vegetarian, so I was so excited to find this perfect balance of flavor and allergen/ dietary restriction friendliness. This is not a traditional Szechuan menu, but rather, Szechuan flavors infused into modern American dishes and stir fries. We ordered everything family style, and would highly recommend doing so. My table got the tots, the charred broccoli, and the char siu mushroom appetizers. We also shared an order of chicken fried rice, TKO chicken, and crispy tofu and sweet potatoes. Since the desserts were gluten free, we also sprung for an order of the cornmeal buttermilk donuts and the pineapple cake. This food got a thumbs up from everyone, but especially the 2 family members who have visited China. Our favorite dishes were the char siu mushrooms, the crispy tofu and sweet potatoes, and the cornmeal buttermilk donuts. I loved how the spice was balanced with other flavors, like acidity. Excellent menu and great flavor all around.

"Just wanted to add photos of my recent order. I stepped out of my comfort zone and ordered something I've never had! I ordered Pad Kee Mao and it was different but so good! It did need a little salt but once I added salt it couldn't be more perfect. Just a comforting dish of stir fried noodles and veggies! I got Thai hot but thankfully they gave me a few little sides of spicy so I can make it spicier. I love super super spicy tho. And I ordered the sticky rice in Banana leaf which I think had red beans in it and some sort of yummy filling, it was truly delicious! And I ordered the coconut custard which as always delicious. It's super light and subtle in flavor, slightly sweet. Literally love this place. And the customer service is so great, they are super friendly!! The authenticity here will always bring me back!"
"I'm not sure it's the best in town, but they sure do give you enough for two. Portion size are big. Phone in my orders and pick up in 15mins and they had it ready when I got there. Close enough to home for my lazy days of not cooking. Had a large egg drop soup. Soup broth was a bit bland that needed the extra pepper and salt to it. Happy Family meal comes with steam rice, chicken, beef, and seafoods stir fry. Cooked in simple brown sauce."
"This is probably the best Chinese I have found in Tennessee. Everything else has been nasty, to put it bluntly.I ordered Hunan chicken General Tso's chicken, teriyaki chicken skewers (which I didn't order, but they were delicious), boneless spare ribs, and fried potstickers. Everything was actually very good. My son ate it up and he is pretty picky as am I.The only weird thing was that they had plastic up as soon as you walked in to keep you from getting near the counter...this COVID crap has gone way to far and the fear is unreal!!!"
"We stopped here while on a business trip. It's definitely a good place to grab lunch at a reasonable price. Especially if you are with a lot of people or people who want different things! I was surprised by how many options they had. There were multiple hot food bars, a sushi bar, a cold food bar as well as desserts. My favorite was the hibachi station. Here you can fill your plate with a number of different options on a buttet style line, from noodles and meats to veggies and sauces. They cook it on a large grill in front of you. (a sped up version of a traditional hibachi experience) I really liked the cook that was there, he was nice and remembered my preferences when I went up. I was also able to customize my meal per my dietary preferences which was nice. The rest of the food was good, what you would expect from Asian buffet restaurant. The main appeal was the options offered. It was also about $10 for lunch and included a soda. This is the type of restaurant where you pay at the entrance and help yourself. There are staff around filling drinks and clearing plates, but they are not engaged in the traditional server role."
"I have been meaning to stop by and finally glad we did! Service was great! When we were there - lots of pick up orders. If you're dining in then you can take a seat and a wait staff will be provide a menu. The food was all good - flavorful and not greasy. Tried their already pre-set beef soup and it was delicious. Fantastic broth! Loved the condiments available on the table. They also have the option to self serve and have your soup ingredients weighed which is cool.Beef roll is also outstanding and lots of beef inside. Liked their Boba tea choices and it was delicious. On the sweeter side but you can always ask for it to be less sweetened! All in all - great spot for soup!"
"Eh. Had high hopes, but nope. Not a fan. I'll continue to look for a great Mandarin & Cantonese food."
"My daughter and I have been looking forward to this place opening as it's very close to the house and we love enjoying Chinese food together.Tonight we were on our own for dinner so we decided to stop in. I ordered chicken egg foo young and some egg drop soup. Guess I was in the mood for eggs. My daughter decided on the sesame chicken. We then split an order of crab rangoons and shared an order of chicken lo mein. All of the dishes were served in generous portions and we both took home some leftovers to enjoy later. Each dish tasted very good and the crab rangoons stood out with light flavors of orange and maybe even a hint of coconut. Staff was very friendly. Warmly greeted us as w came in and each patron that came and left after us.If you like Chinese, definitely add this to your list of destinations to try. I'm certain you won't be disappointed."
"Food was pretty good- sushi was better than our entrees or appetizers! Customer service was okay but they seemed busy in a Friday night! They also give you sugared donuts as a dessert which was a nice touch."
"A couple friends recently have commented that they wished Nashville had a good "fancy Chinese" spot, and Choy has come along to meet that need. Service was terrific, food was great, and drinks were fun (extensive wine list available!). I especially appreciated that both the small plates and the larger dishes were creative and delicious: sometimes I find one course outshines the other, but here the experience was consistent throughout. I'd highly recommend everything we ordered: the yellowtail tuna, the Taiwanese-style eggplant, the shrimp fried rice, and the Peking duck. All together, it was too much food for two, but we received a carefully-packed bag of takeout that reheated beautifully the next day. The setting feels a bit like a fancy club, so it's a good date-night spot with secluded private booths for two or four."
"I've been here multiple times since I found this place. I absolutely fell in love with their fried tofu appetizer which honestly could be a meal on its own. It's really difficult to find a place that makes fried tofu well but this place reminds me of home. I always ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side because it can be overpowering so I don't use a ton of it. Their sizzling beef is also another favorite dish of mine! The beef is super tender and comes with a pile of onions and bell peppers which is so delicious! The service is always great and I have never had any issues with getting my food. I definitely recommend checking this place out!"
"Very good Chinese food. Great lunch special selections. Food is always hot and tasty. Prices are reasonable. Orders don't typically take too long to prepare."
"Dumplings and Noodles, oh my! I visited for lunch and I'm glad I did. Atmosphere and service were ok, but the food was good and the prices were fair. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Spicy Sour Noodles. The broth was delicious and the soup was full of delicious components, including some perfectly cooked bok choy. The sweet potato glass noodles were super long and a bit difficult to manage, but they tasted great. Our table really enjoyed the Pork and Chives Dumplings and the Basil Fried Chicken that we all shared. The roast pork buns were good also. My friend really enjoyed his bowl of Steak Noodles.Come here expecting good food at fair prices and you won't be disappointed."
"Dinner and a show at China BellSure you'll pay extra for extra sauce, and there's a minimum on credit card purchases, but the entertainment is included. At China Bell, you get both decent Chinese food, all the while watching the owner and the staff taking the customers to task. You know what kind of place this is because of the wall to wall signs. There's even a sign if you get the wrong order. Basically, don't even think about bringing it up. Special order? Nope. It comes as it comes. They don't save the sass just for customers. That's a carry over from the work environment. The food is okay. What you expect from a strip mall Chinese place. If you're not expecting much, and have a good sense humor, this is the place for you. Come for wonton. Stay for show."
"I've never been here in person but I've never had a bad order from Postmates from here. The Mongolian beef is so good, along with the crab Rangoon and the chicken wings and hot and sour soup are EXCELLENT."
"I was pleasantly surprised by this whole in the wall Chinese restaurant. It was just a quick suggestion that we leaned towards when finding a place to grab dinner when in the area. Great Wall of China Restaurant is locally owned and operated by the same family who has a hand in co-owning Miso Sushi down the road from it. The teenage daughter of the owners, Jerrica, was super sweet and funny. She had a great personality and very assisting in helping us decide what we wanted for our meal. Not to forget to mention she has a great sense of humor, and honestly made it worth all the while in dining here.As far as the food, it was super filling and we had a good bit of it. We took home leftovers and the reheating of it tasted just as good as if we had it while at the restaurant. It is truly a whole in the wall type of place, but worth checking out!"
"Great dinner in a pinch, but the flavors could be stepped up just a bit. This is a pick-up only and no delivery spot, but they do have all of the "traditional" Chinese food staples. Orange chicken, beef and broccoli, chow mein, low mein, and fried rice. The menu here is pretty large. Definitely worth a quick once over before ordering. The chow mein and low mein here are pretty bland, but their proteins are heavily seasoned and sauced. Maybe they're meant to be eaten as a pair? Speaking of heavily seasoned the General Tso chicken is my fave! Big chunks of chicken that are drenched in a spicy general sauce. This meal comes with a yellow curry like rice, that is also delish. My kids love their egg rolls, crab Rangoons, and the beef and broccoli. Don't let the three star fool ya. We will definitely be back!"
"Ah, China Village...walked into this place and immediately thought I was in a food court of a mall in 1993! From the lights, to the furniture, prices and of course the picture board menu above the counter. Everything about China Village screamed old school and also "this about to be good"!Sitting in a small, worn out shopping plaza just off of Highway 41/Dickerson, China Village is a solid spot for cheap, plentiful and tasty Chinese takeout. It is not much to look at and if you can get past the bars on the windows, you are in store for a treat. Delivery is not offered currently and you can technically eat in, but while there are tables there, it is not really set up for a good dine-in experience. I rang them up on a Friday evening to order (2) Sesame Chicken plates and (1) Large Wonton Soup. From order to arrival was about 20 minutes, and it was hot and ready! Overall, we are new to this side of town and while the whole "no delivery" thing is a bummer, China Village is definitely our go-to spot for a cheap and tasty Chinese night in."
"My wontons were cold in the middle & the cashier messed up the order. I wasn't offered a receipt, but now that I do the math, I'm certain I was overchatged; I paid with cash. The restroom had an Out of Order sign that's as old as the building itsself. All that, and the workers were rude. I'll never go back!"
"Positives - the portions are large, the dishes are freshly prepared and hot. Orders are ready quickly for pickup and nicely packaged. Unfortunately, those great qualities are offset with greasy off flavors. Fried dumplings are pretty greasy. I'd maybe try the steamed dumplings next time. Eggrolls were crisp, hot, and a little greasy. Hot and sour soup was chunky with good sized pieces of mushroom and tofu. But like the other dishes, I get less than fresh oily greasy off flavors. Sesame chicken was ok, but the same slightly off flavors. Disappointed, I was really hoping this convenient take out place would be a favorite, but we'll try the other local Chinese restaurants before we return to Great Wall."
