I give this place 5 for value, and charm. I go in and there's a kid at the counter. I pick up a menu and expect him to find an adult to help me. But he just stands there patiently. Finally I figure out what I want and ask if I'm supposed to order thru him, and he says yes. Actually, he's very knowledgeable and competent, answer the phone, taking orders, running cards, speaking perfect English (and Chinese, presumably). Reflects well on his parents.I want spicy, either Mapo Tofu or a "bean curd szechuan style." I ask what's the difference, and he explains (the bean curd is fried tofu, for one). I ask for the spiciest level they've got for the bean curd. They don't have brown rice. He said they have "yellow rice," but I didn't inquire further. Anyway, I got white rice and the bean curd. I wish it were spicier, and next time I'll try the Mapo Tofu instead. But the food was good and there was plenty of it for the $10.50 or whatever on the menu. They also have lunch specials! They have like 4 tables off to the side for sitting/eating. Nothing fancy, but serviceable. At least we save on the tip!

Ordered via Uber eats for my friend and me. The food arrived quickly. We tried a few different dishes (mai fun, Mongolian chicken, beef with veggies, kung pao shrimp, ma po tofu). The Mongolian chicken was my favorite-the dish was different than I've had before! I'm used to a heavy onion/sautéed dish. This chicken has almost a lightly pan friend taste. It's really good. The shrimp in the kung pao are very large and tasty. However I believe because of the size there are fewer shrimp and a lot more of the peppers and celery. The spring rolls were nice and crispy. The beef and veggies was another dish that was different than other restaurants, the sauce was more runny and not as thick as you typically see but was still appetizing. Overall, the food was satisfactory for a late night Chinese order. Not my favorite in the area but would probably order again based on availability.

Absolutely horrible. Just awful. Boneless ribs weren't even edible. Sauce was bitter and tasted OLD. Meat was chewy like all pieces were tendons! The chicken lo mein was somewhat acceptable. Decent flavor, but nothing great. Like a 5/10. The sweet and sour chicken was CRIMINAL. Straight mush, so bad. And the rice was the blandest I've ever had. So pathetic and a waste of $30!

Surprised to see any negative reviews here. This is by far my favorite Chinese food I've found in Middle TN. Granted the menu is massive (like most Chinese places) so maybe I've just not had the bad dishes. If you are going here the General Tso's Chicken is my favorite! Other good things are the Mongolian Beef and any of the Lo Meins or Mai Fun.

I ordered the Happy family which is supposed to have "real lobster" and scallops. This dish had neither. While I was waiting on hold to speak to a Grubhub supervisor I got these combative and rude text messages from the chef at China Moon. Now, having 30 years in the restaurant industry, I CERTAINLY know the difference between cooked imitation lobster /crab and real crab /lobster. And, in response to the "chef's" last comment.... Crab isn't even an ingredient in the Happy Family so your point is.....? Don't order from here

Me & my husband really like this place late in the evening when we don't wanna cook. It's a solid Chinese place. Pretty good flavors and great crab Rangoons. The portions are big. Some of these places will skip on portions but not China Moon their good with that. This is our new favorite Chinese Restaurant!

We've enjoyed our meals from China moon for our quick take out nights! We've had no issues with delivery or our orders. The crab ragoons and lo Mien always hit the spot!

If it is any indication - the fortune cookie was the best part of my lunch...Co-worker said this was his favorite Chinese take-out. I have tried 2 others within 10 minutes of the office so why not? Why not again? Just terrible! Order Kan Po chicken - basically same as Kung Pao or any number of brown sauce entrees most of these places serve. The difference between this and Kung Pao dishes I get at other places is that it was breaded - a lot! And, it was cooked in old grease! And, it was cooked too long! And, some of the pieces crunched! Crunched? Fried chicken? I took one piece out of my mouth to make sure it was indeed chicken - still don't know - threw it away at this point. And, the veggies were over-cooked! And the fried rice tasted old? Can something taste old? I licked my finger - I don't taste old - and I am...Yeah, never again, ever, never - this was the worst of all three I have now tried and the lady at the counter was so NICE!
