I read the reviews and was really looking forward to ordering from here. Ordered delivery and honestly the food was Meh! Given they promote themselves as NY Chinese I was excited about it, but it wasn't the NY I remember. I don't understand how people gave this place 4 Stars??!We ordered General Tso's dinner. It really tasted and looked like Sweet & Sour Chicken. The fried rice looked like Mexican or Spanish rice?! The egg roll filing was good, but the egg roll itself wasn't crispy. The only highlight of this meal was the Hot & Sour soup. Also, we ordered the Pork Chow Mein which was meh. Not that much pork and it was just big noodles with not much flavor. Beef & Broccoli was okay, but mainly broccoli and hardly any meat. Also, I love ordering crispy wonton (fried noodle here) from restaurants, even ordered extra and they were oily and soggy!I did get a lot of side sauces, which is cool. But for Chinese Food Delivery that was Meh for close to $50...I could have gone to Panda Express and paid $30 less.

Always great, food comes out fast and hot!I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, lots of meat. Would highly recommend!

We decided to order from China Gourmet for the first time ever as we were next door at the UPS Store. I said that I wanted to order egg foo young. The guy behind the counter screams, "No egg foo young, chicken wings or moo shu!!!" The attitude was totally uncalled for as I surely did not bring any attitude to the table. We left the restaurant and sought food elsewhere. It was a Friday evening and the place was empty. Maybe that is why.

I really like this place. The combos are great and they're really fast at preparing your order. I ordered the Beef with broccoli, sweet n sour pork, spring rolls and pork fried rice. Good stuff!

I think this restaurant has some of the best Chinese food in the area. They advertise New York style, and I'm from New York and can state that this is exactly that styleYou can eat in as they have 8 tables, or do take out. It's a clean restaurant with friendly staff.

The best crab rangoon! My family and I have been here a lot over the years and it's never disappointed.

Had take out from here several times and its always been great. Checking prices with competitors and they are lower. Its always the same young couple working there so I think its a family owned and run business. I noticed they are very generous with the meat in the pepper steak compared to another place I go. I used the yelp app and they have always had my order ready except for once but they were obviously busy at the time. Also get cash back if ordering through the yelp app. If your looking for great fresh tasty chinese food you have to give this place a try.

On this culinary adventure we were looking for some New York style Chinese food. I actually found it in a little strip mall off of Murfreesboro Road in Franklin. As we pulled up we only see one table with customers so we are slightly concerned. I step in to here and it looks like every other Chinese place. They all look the same with basically the same choices on the menu. However, we should not have worried because this place is absolutely amazing. It is just a little family place where the food is all made to order. We decided to order a sampling of several things off the menu. What we don't eat we can take home. We ordered crab rangoons, pan fried dumplings, Generals Tao's chicken, egg drop soup, egg rolls, fried rice, and Szechuan chicken (extra hot please). We go have a seat and shortly the food starts to come out. It was definitely not what I expected. It was much better. I was impressed by the plate presentation and the smells coming from the plates. You can tell everything was handmade. Even the egg rolls and dumplings are handmade. The egg rolls are stuffed with chicken and vegetables and you can tell they are handmade because the rolls are not rolled exactly the same. The pan fried dumplings are filled with Asian porky goodness. The crab rangoons are also definitely handmade because they are all shaped a little differently as well. They are out of this world. And that is just the appetizers. Now to start on the main dishes. I have had a lot of General Tao's chicken in my time but this place hits it out of the ballpark. The flavor was incredible and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The Szechuan chicken was full of flavor and spice (could have been a little hotter but that is just me). Everything was made with love and care. This place is a hidden gem and a true New York style Chinese food restaurant. It has been a long time since I had food like this. I can't believe I have found you here in Franklin, Tennessee. I give them 4 guitars. It was all amazing.

Blown away by Customer Service at this restaurant. We are new to the Franklin, TN area and were craving Chinese Delivery. We placed our order online (my boyfriend has a Gluten Intolerance) so we order some items slightly different. (no soy sauce, no breading, etc.) A gentlemen from the restaurant actually called me once they received the order and told me the exact item I ordered wasn't GF compatible. We were able to find an alternate and boy was it great! Everything was hot and delicious, and delivery was 15 mins faster than anticipated. **Will 100% Again**

**Not restaurant's fault! Food would've been great had delivery not taken over 2 hours. Food arrived cold and soggy. - Delivered through Yelp via Grubhub.
