Christine L. "Wow, a hidden GEM! Amazing and authentic Thai/Laos cuisine. Drunken noodles and pad Thai noodles were some of the best I've ever had! They were so so flavorful and juicy and I was so impressed. Every bite was amazing. On the drunken noodles, they put fresh cucumbers on top and I really enjoyed that. If you like crab rangoons, you have to get them here! They're in a thin wrapper fried but the filling is so smooth and tasty. Also one of the best crab rangoons I've ever had! They do have bacon in them and thats probably the special ingredient. I also go the shrimp Tom yum soup and they give big pieces of shrimp. The Tom Yum was delicious, hot and a little sour, lots of lemongrass."

Jeff T. "Dumplings and Noodles, oh my! I visited for lunch and I'm glad I did. Atmosphere and service were ok, but the food was good and the prices were fair. I really enjoyed the flavor of the Spicy Sour Noodles. The broth was delicious and the soup was full of delicious components, including some perfectly cooked bok choy. The sweet potato glass noodles were super long and a bit difficult to manage, but they tasted great. Our table really enjoyed the Pork and Chives Dumplings and the Basil Fried Chicken that we all shared. The roast pork buns were good also. My friend really enjoyed his bowl of Steak Noodles.Come here expecting good food at fair prices and you won't be disappointed."

Erik S. "I love the concept! Truly the best way to do All You Can Eat style sushi out there, I wish it was more present in other areas of the country (especially in my hometown), but I really enjoyed having this experience while I was visiting Nashville. For the uninitiated, conveyor belt style eating is done by pulling small plates off a conveyor belt that is continuously moving throughout the dining room. Patrons usually sit around a circular or oval shaped bar, but sometimes you see the conveyor belt meandering all over the place. They can be covered or uncovered, I really appreciated that the conveyor belt at Sushi Train was covered! Much more sanitary. In non-AYCE situations, your plate color corresponds to a price, the staff simply total up your plates. At sushi train, it appears there is an option to go a la carte, but at 25 bucks, I don't understand why you wouldn't go for the all you can eat option unless you just want a snack. Also, the conveyor belt is massive, centrally located to the restaurant and diving in and out or rows of seats. It's a large place, great layout, and the staff works hard to keep it stocked. As much as I loved the format, I will say that most of the sushi I ate was just OK and there were a couple that I didn't like. I did like that not just rolled sushi was circulating, but also nigiri, appetizers, cold salads, and desserts. Your waitress would also take special requests from you for anything you saw on the menu but not on the belt, included in the price! All in all, even if the sushi itself was pretty average, this place gets a 5 from me for their superior style of service, and a format that allows me to try small portions of a great variety of foods, as opposed to committing to large rolls limiting what I can try. I would definitely come back and bring friends!"

Coddy A. "China Cottage is in a word "great." We had the General Tso chicken and fried rice. The ingredients are of high quality, and the preparation is done right. The General Tso breading was light, the chicken was a good quality white meat. Sauce was flavorful with a bit spice. Not thick and sugary and seems like it came directly out of can that you get at similar types of restaurants.Fried rice was plentiful and had a good flavor. As did the hot tea.Service was attentive, fast, and they seemed to actually enjoy being there, and helping. We were genuinely invited back and encouraged to try other items on the menu us because they are all good. And we believe them.Prices are reasonable, and they don't nickel and dime you. Entrees are around 12-14 on average. Hot Tea was $1.65. Menu selection has all classics you find in any Chinese restaurant which caters to a western customer.China Cottage just became our go to for Chinese food."

Good lighting and a good place to eat and have a conversation.I cannot say enough about how good the food is. Every dish is consistent. The hot and sour soup was as good today as it was when I first ate it 12 years ago. The chengdu beef was excellent as always and the same with the pepper chicken. If it says spicy and you don't specify that you don't want it spicy you need to speak up. Please patronize this family run business I promise you will not be disappointed. It has been 12 years worth of meal here and I have never been sorry once."

I couldn't decide what to get since everything sounded so good. Our waitress, May, helped me decide on the pineapple curry. It was a little more spicy than I expected but it still tasted good! I also tried some of my friend's pad thai was so very good. The team at Rice Box was very friendly and attentive at refilling our drinks and getting our orders in. It is also right next to a Kroger in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking."

Doug G. "Well, it isn't perfect...but I think we found our local Chinese delivery spot! After an exhaustive and disappointing search as transplants, Best Wok has stepped into the top spot for us...at least on our end of town! We ordered recently and the whole process, delivery and food were all top notch. Our order consisted of wonton soup, sesame chicken and house lo mein...all absolutely delicious! Wonton soup is normally the item I judge a spot off of and I am super pumped that Best Wok has some great wonton soup! The broth is flavorful, the dumplings are in copious and packed full! The egg roll was a true egg roll and not a spring roll, which is great! Apparently mixing those two up is a thing for a few spots around here. Sesame Chicken was great, sauce was sticky, smooth and tangy and the rice was pork fried, which is a nice touch. And finally the Lo Mein was solid! Delivery, while expensive due to the fees, was quick...arrived 15 minutes ahead of schedule! I think next time we may try pick up to avoid the fees as our $22 order quickly became $38. Overall, super pumped to have found Best Wok! We will certainly be enjoying grub from here for as long as are in this area of Nashville!"

The highlights we're the pork low mein and the Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef had great flavor, but not enough beef! It was 50/50 onions to beef. The low mein was great, lots of textures and surprisingly light. Don't forget the veggie springs roll, always a must order! Only a couple of low lights to the meal. The fried rice seemed old and dried out and General Tso's chicken was basically orange chicken. Still had good flavor, but zero heat. AM Chinese Food is one-hundred percent worth another try, but next time we'll sample a few different menu items."

Robin B. "We've lived here over four years and regret only now discovering HunanExpress. We ordered online and used the drive through so I didn't notice if they are seating inside. We got Hunan tofu over fried rice and LoMein with tofu. Both dishes were quite similar, the biggest difference being one was over rice and one over LoMein noodles. They both were full of vegetables and somewhat milder in spice than I anticipated so I was glad I'd asked for hot chili oil on the side. Each entree was enough for two meals and under $7 each. The small cup of hot sour soup was also mild, but flavorful. All dishes were piping hot so ready to eat when we got home. We'll definitely be picking up dinner here again, especially since eating out now during the pandemic is proving difficult."

The area wasn't a place I'd necessarily like to be after dark, but it was okay. I was going to order online for pick up, but there were extra fees I could avoid if I went inside to order. It was quick and easy to order. I ordered two dinner specials which came with the main course, fried rice, and an egg roll and then a side of chicken fried rice. Our food was ready within about 15-20 minutes which is not a bad wait at all. We both enjoyed our main courses and the fried rice. I thought the egg roll was okay, but my husband didn't enjoy it. The fried rice that came in the meal I think was vegetable fried rice, but it tasted no different from the chicken fried rice. My sesame chicken had plenty of flavor and sauce. It tasted freshly made to me. I had the fried rice for a leftover dinner a night later and it was still delicious! The dinner specials came in microwave safe containers which is a bonus. If we are ever in the area again, we would for sure come back again!"

Dennis S. "Nice to have a respectable Chinese American take out conveniently located in Berry Farms. The hot and sour soup was thick, and had a pleasant kick of heat to it. It was a little shy on chunks of goodies, just had a few sliced mushrooms and bamboo shoots in it, but was still enjoyable, and the large is a nice sized serving to share. The dumplings had a thicker than usual wrapper. They were quite tasty with a nice dipping sauce. Had ordered the fried dumplings, and they had a little bit of burnt flavor from pan frying, so I think we'd go with the steamed next time. The sesame chicken was good sized chunks with a thick crust, and might have been a little overcooked. It made them chewy, which I actually found I didn't mind at all, made the meal a little heartier. I also really liked that the plentiful broccoli was perfectly cooked al dente, and that they had a light hand with the sauce. It was plenty flavorful, and happily not the drowned in overly sweet sauce that the dish comes with at too many other places.Look forward to exploring the menu more, and to have a chance to further update this review."

Nate M. "Great dinner in a pinch, but the flavors could be stepped up just a bit. This is a pick-up only and no delivery spot, but they do have all of the "traditional" Chinese food staples. Orange chicken, beef and broccoli, chow mein, low mein, and fried rice. The menu here is pretty large. Definitely worth a quick once over before ordering. The chow mein and low mein here are pretty bland, but their proteins are heavily seasoned and sauced. Maybe they're meant to be eaten as a pair? Speaking of heavily seasoned the General Tso chicken is my fave! Big chunks of chicken that are drenched in a spicy general sauce. This meal comes with a yellow curry like rice, that is also delish. My kids love their egg rolls, crab Rangoons, and the beef and broccoli. Don't let the three star fool ya. We will definitely be back!"

We ordered the House Lo Mein, Dragon Meets Phoenix, and Bourbon Chicken. The portions were huge! The noodles were overflowing - flavorful, with plenty of meat and seafood, and not too salty. The Bourbon chicken was ok, a tad bit too sweet. Both dishes from the Dragon meets Phoenix was good, the shrimps were huge - and you get plenty. Vegetables were tender. To-do packages were packed nicely. We'll be back to dry other the items."

From the lights, to the furniture, prices and of course the picture board menu above the counter. Everything about China Village screamed old school and also "this about to be good"!Sitting in a small, worn out shopping plaza just off of Highway 41/Dickerson, China Village is a solid spot for cheap, plentiful and tasty Chinese takeout. It is not much to look at and if you can get past the bars on the windows, you are in store for a treat. Delivery is not offered currently and you can technically eat in, but while there are tables there, it is not really set up for a good dine-in experience. I rang them up on a Friday evening to order (2) Sesame Chicken plates and (1) Large Wonton Soup. From order to arrival was about 20 minutes, and it was hot and ready! Overall, we are new to this side of town and while the whole "no delivery" thing is a bummer, China Village is definitely our go-to spot for a cheap and tasty Chinese night in."
