"Delicious donuts and worth the drive to some of the best donuts I have ever eaten! Very fresh and delicious!"
"I was visiting Nashville a few weeks ago and needed a few bottles of wine for a family dinner. When I lived in Nashville, I used to go out of my way to go to a certain wine shop that focused on natural wines. But I definitely wasn't up for a 25 minute drive each way to go to that wine shop on that day. I hadn't been to the Wine Shoppe before, but we were in the area and decided to check it out. I was so impressed! The selection was amazing: wines from varied wine producing regions (I was looking for a furmint wine from Eastern Europe and they had a couple of options) and lots of natural wines! The customer service was also amazing - the staff in the store when we stopped by was very helpful and walked us around showing us several options we might like. We ultimately bought a couple of bottles of a furmint from Hungary, a Slovenian wine, and a few other options. They were good. I would absolutely return to this wonderful surprise of a wine shop!"

My husband picked us up donuts and coffee from here for our group as it was in walking distance of our AirB&B. The donuts were amazing. He got a 25 pack of the mini donuts. Actually I think they are all miniaturize sized here. Donuts to me aren't worth the calories if they aren't great and these were totally worth it. Some of the standout flavors were the Reese's Cup and the bacon one. My coffee was some type of pumpkin spiced drink and was also good. It is definitely on the pricier side but I enjoyed it and would get it again.

Looking for a serious wine-buying experience without the intimidation and snobbery (sometimes) associated with the endeavor? Head on over to Green Hills (I know!) and check out The Wine Shoppe. This is the wine store for oenophiles and novices alike. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted. I know some may not care for this but I like it. It lets me know that I, as a customer, am appreciated, recognized and seen. For a store this small and in this industry, I think to do any less is to give an immediate negative impression. So, kudos to TWS for knowing how to get a party started right. And, they keep it going by knowing about wine.* There are no guesses. There are no 'ums.' Tell the fellows what you like and what you think you're looking for and they'll guide you to exactly the wine that's right for you. I described a pinot grigio that I needed with a bunch of qualifiers and i was led to a bottle I'd never heard of but hit the nail on the head in every regard in which I was looking. It was magic. They might be magicians. The only negative about the store is that the price point is marked up a wee bit higher than I would like. I spied a South African (sweet) shiraz I tend to buy on occasion and it was higher than I've bought it for in both Chicago and Miami. But, this is Green Hills (I know!) so I can't say that I'm too shocked at higher prices. Nevertheless, if you're in to wine or just trying things out for the first time, TWS should be in your permanent rotation.*They also boast a small (small!) selection of craft beer as well as a few racks of spirits. But don't come here in search of either; leave that to another business or be pleased with what you find. When you come here, stick to wine.
