"Walked in and waited a good 10-15 minutes before anyone came out of the back to ask us what we wanted. When someone finally came out, you order at the register in the front. Service was very slow and we had to ask for several items that never came out (like the water for the kids, our side of fries, the ranch on my dish and the bread pudding that I ordered). The portions were very small for "soul food" but it was pretty good. The bread pudding was very bland and was drenched in some sort of oil or melted "butter". Overall, I think it was good but I wouldn't be back next time I'm in town. Nice to try once though."

I am obsessed with pretzels their Bulgarian pretzel was a good consistency. Just enough to be an app and not fill up on before my actual meal. My friend got the white cheddar pimento cheese dip. Yes. Order that for sure. I got a regular bratwurst with a mac n cheese. Also yes. My friends got mimosas. It didn't kick in immediately but a good 10 minute walk to the farmers market did the trick. A cute spot to grab food off the strip and something nice to do around the area. Not sure the low ratings, but for a Sunday morning breakfast it was good :)"
"Giving food 4/5 but the SERVICE made it a 5/5. I have never had such a peaceful dinner. There was absolutely no pressure to get us out and open the table which I very much appreciate. Jumbo Prawn Pasta 8.8/10* (Sautéed Jumbo Shrimp, Creamy Basil-Walnut Pesto, Burrata Cheese)- loved this noodle shape. Was very light on the pesto. Shrimp were great and big. Warm Crab Dip 8.6/10* (Lump Crab Meat, Three Cheese Sauce, Old Bay, with a Toasted Baguette)- sub for chips of course. Black Hawk Farms Truffle Burger 7.8/10* (Aged White Cheddar, Truffle Aioli, Bibb Lettuce, Caramelized Onions on a Sesame Seed Brioche Bun)Hot Chicken Sandwich 8/10* (Nashville Style Hot Chicken, Creamy Coleslaw, Pickles on a Brioche Bun)- actually really enjoyed this, pro slaw on sammy. French fries were also great"
"Breakfast love*** Definitely will stop again. Service is at the counter where you order and they give you a number and bring your food to the table (beverages are self serve). The vegetarian breakfast sandwich is outstanding. Best thing is no egg! I guess if you want that they can add but it's so nice they have a lovely breakfast sandwich on fantastic fresh bread, yummy veggies and cooked to perfection. The meat lover at the table had the Viking and enjoyed. Don't miss the hashbrown casserole. It's totally a great addition to your meal. Friendly service and nice homey dining room."
"A look at this place and your taste buds will thank you! The small restaurant with big flavor, we had to try! Both types of Ramen were full flavor, and portions were fantastic!! The lady that took our order was a multi jobbed server, host, barista, and she was on point with refills and to chat with the customers. Giving this place a 10/10 definitely would recommend!"
"So, the four of us decided to hit up this spot for brunch today. Everyone went the traditional route and ordered omelettes, but not me--I went rogue with a PB&J chicken biscuit. I asked them to swap the tomato jam for peach habanero, but they gave me plain peach jam instead. Luckily, they fixed it without any drama. The biscuit sandwich? Decent, but no fireworks.Meanwhile, my friends' omelettes were like a game of musical chairs; their orders got all mixed up.The place is tiny inside, and while they have outdoor seating, Mother Nature was throwing a tantrum with rain today. On the bright side, there's plenty of street parking!"
"Grateful to my fellow Yelpers for leading me to Common Ground for a late lunch. We arrived after the lunch crowd, but first impressions were positive due to the classy decor / hip environment. The quieter location was a refreshing break from lively Broadway.I ordered the shrimp and "grits," and the slightly spicy red pepper polenta paired so well with the sweet shrimp, which were a perfectly cooked texture. The braised short rib looked great, but my son was enjoying so much he wasn't letting me taste it...maybe next time!I'm usually a black coffee guy, but was glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the chai latte, which was very good. This is definitely the kind of place I was like in my neighborhood, as it seems equally enjoyable for a brunch meal or a late night cocktail and snack.Oh, and the server was so nice...she knew we were visiting from out of town, and unprompted, she brought us a list of recommended activities in the areas."
"Tonight's dinner was at Evelyn's in the Hutton Hotel. Jalapeño Cheddar Corn Bread (must have) Short Rib (this was yummy and super tender) old fashioned (perfectly balanced)scallops (this was good) crab cake (not a fan - smaller crab bits rather than lump crab). Best ones are at Eddie V's. Service was great. Quick and attentive. They offer complimentary valet (with validation at the host's desk) and also there's cashless tip option but there is a fee of $1.65 to use it. So maybe bring cash."

The menu looks amazing and they have house-made seitan. There's everything from soul food to salads on the menu, but you're not overloaded with choices. Oh my goodness, they have a ton of desserts, so your sweet tooth cravings are a match here.It seems quiet although their shared parking situation can get hectic. The restrooms weren't available while I was there, but they have them. The staff are pleasant and informative. You can't rush goodness, so order ahead if you're short on time. If you choose to dine in or wait on-site, try the ginger beer. I think I had lemonade because there was no fizz, but it was not slacking on gingerThe seating is intimate & the decor is refreshing & fun. Have a little lunch meeting, date night, or social meetup here. Eat to live and actually enjoy at this second location. They have another location in Nashville on Fisk. Hope you enjoy!

Always a good time here! If you get one of the large drinks that'll be enough alcohol to have you feeling good well after your meal. The pretzels are very natural tasting, so don't expect anything like Auntie Anne's. We've tried a variety of menu items and nothing disappoints. Very nice servers and great outside seating to enjoy a nice Nashville day.

This was my first time in Nashville on a day trip with some girlfriends. I chose stateside kitchen after looking for brunch place. We arrived very early like 8am this was our first stop after flying in from Chicago. The ambiance was awesome it was clean and empty as we was the first customers of the morning. The staff was pretty nice. The menu was small but had some good choices. I had the all American breakfast which everything was delicious and the portions were generous. My friends had the breakfast sandwich, all American and everyone was happy with their meals. We all had the cranberry mimosas also. Prices was reasonable considering the portions. If ever in Nashville it's a must try!!

Merridee's Breadbasket is a place I've always passed in Franklin, and I finally decided to try it after hearing such great things. It was quite busy on a Saturday, but that's a good thing! The spot is very cute inside, and looks just like the name. I ordered the Ultimate Club. The bread is to die for. It made the sandwich. I'm a sucker for honey mustard on my sandwiches, and that hit the spot.We decided to sit out on their patio where there was plenty of seating which I was worried about when we first got there.

Subculture is just as good as I remembered it to be. I wish I could try more things on the menu but the ramen with hot chicken is just too good, I can't not order it! Medium is spicy but not crazy. Chicken comes on the side, cut it up into small pieces and add it a little at a time to the broth so it doesn't get soggy. Amazing!!

"A nice brunch place. This is very modern and eclectic.. The staff were nice. The place was clean and the decor was unique. They have a variety of food options. I was able to go to vegan meal which was tasty and delicious. They also have a kids menu and sort of alcoholic beverages and/ teas. I definitely recommend and will probably return when in the area. Hope you enjoy!"
"I came here for the first time this morning and I believe I'm in love! I just moved here from the northeast and have been missing a good bagel. I ordered the nova bagel with lox and cream cheese on a spinach everything bagel. I was a very happy girl to say the least. The girls that work here are super sweet and helpful when ordering. I also ordered the lavender honey latte which was just delish. A little bit of the downside is the parking and the wait but honestly... its worth it."
"Mitchell's has quickly become our go-to lunch spot - and everything we've tried so far from their expansive menu has been incredibly tasty!I highly recommend ordering ahead online if possible ... especially on the weekend. If you do brave the dine-in line on a Saturday or a Sunday, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes ... and you may have to quickly stake your claim on a table after ordering. The interior of the restaurant is casual and comforting, with almost a "local diner" feel to it. The outdoor patio is spacious and covered!Of the several sammies I've sampled, the Pastrami and Swiss is my favorite. I also quite liked their Turkey Brie, which is a unique take on the classic. We have yet to try any of their breakfast options ... but that's only because I always seem to be in more of a "lunch mood" when I'm ordering. I'm sure that will change one of these days."
"I'm a longtime Snoozer, and have made it my own personal mission to dine at as many Snoozes around the country as possible. My husband and I recently grabbed brunch at this location in East Nashville, and experienced truly exceptional service from Dominique. If you're not joining the waitlist ahead of time via the Yelp app ... what are you even doing?!? This is seriously the biggest brunch hack. When the Sunday Scaries hit, just pull up Snooze's Yelp page and join the waitlist. Then, you have a good estimate for when you'll be seated at the table. Sometimes the waitlist even moves a little quicker than estimated, which is always a win! When you arrive, you just check in at the host stand and let them know you're already on the waitlist. We were seated less than five minutes after arriving at the restaurant. I especially recommend this at this location, because they were absolutely slammed on a Sunday morning. Also - parking is easy peezy behind the restaurant, and it's free for your first 90 minutes! We were seated outside, which was actually really pleasant before the heat of the day. Our server Dominique was a rockstar - she was extremely attentive and offered great recommendations throughout our meal.I've eaten my way through most of the Snooze menu at this point, and can't say there's anything I wouldn't recommend. This time, I went with the Chilaquiles from their summer menu, which were absolutely delicious! I also love to add on a single pancake - the Sweet Potato Pecan is my favorite. If you've yet to hit Snooze, add this spot to your brunch plans ASAP. Plus ... if you visit on weekday, they have awesome drink specials! (We're talking $5 Bloody Mary's, which I don't think you can get anywhere else in East Nashville? Correct me if I'm wrong!!)"
"My sandwich was deliciouso!!! The amount of pork and eggs and all the fillings was so flavorful. It was good and filling. So glad bongo Java collaborated with Egg Drip. Good combo for sure!!"
"We stopped in before a TPAC show since it was right around the corner! We were seated right away and our food came out very fast. I had the salmon sandwich and actually got it on sourdough instead of a bun. It was pretty good! I don't think I'd order it again, but it was superior to Subway and a good choice for something quick. It's pretty nice inside; and they have a counter for to-go orders, as well. Pretty cool they have coffee & pastries, but also full sit-down brunch and dinner menus, too."
"I have been to Mr. Js quite a few Saturday mornings mainly because of its proximity to my house...it's literally a minute or two walk. I have always got the Sausage and egg burrito for $8. Hands down the best burrito in the Nashville downtown area. It's big, real eggs and cheese, the tortilla tastes great and the sausage is favorable. In addition, the price point is spot on. I also this week tried the pancakes which were good quality and fairly priced at $5 for 2. The big issue with this place is the staffing. They are under staffed for the traffic they get. There should be 2 in the back of the house and 1 in the front of the house, at least. This would help them push out orders. Although my food was fantastic, I waited 40 min for it. Should be 10 min tops for this setup. I give them a 4 in hopes that they correct this because I really want them to succeed because I can see it from my house and the food is great!"
"What an incredibleeeeee restaurant! We came here for brunch for a bachelorette with 12 people (made reservations a bit in advance). I have nothing but great things to say about this place. The ambiance = rustic luxe chic. The service = phenomenal. The food + cocktails = 10/10. I got the seasonal grain bowl and it was one loaded bowl with feta, pickled onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, hummus, quinoa, and arugula. Their fried chicken sandwich came crispy and hot, and the coleslaw on it was delicious. The Buffalo cauliflower was the best appetizer and the dipping sauce matched perfectly with it. All of our cocktails were a hit as well; refreshing and high quality. If you're looking for great service, a cute vibe, and quality American fare, I recommend Liberty Common."
"Say hello to your new go-to sandwich shop! My husband and I have ordered from the new 51st Deli location twice in the last month, and will definitely be making this a regular stop. Both of our recent visits were on Sunday afternoons, and I would be remiss if I didn't shout out the incredible customer service! The folks working here are genuinely excited that you're there - they greet you when you walk in the door, take your order quickly and kindly (no matter how busy they are), and then wish you well when you're leaving. This is truly some of the best service I've had in Nashville at a grab-and-go restaurant. If you're in the mood for a hot sandwich, I recommend the Chopped Cheese. This is 51st Deli's take on a classic, and they do so memorably. If you've never had a Chopped Cheese before, it's basically a burger in sandwich form without a true patty. That might sound strange, but trust me when I say it's incredible! On our second visit, I decided to try the Turkey Avocado sandwich, which is packed full of flavor and texture. This order solidified my opinion that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu at 51st Deli, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty sandwich to-go! That said, if you do decide to dine in, they have several tables available inside and outside, along with an extensive wall of drinks to choose from."
"very cool and hipster coffee shopSpacious and love the industrial feel They also have some interesting coffee selections; bourbon vanilla latte was very interestingCold brew was on the light spectrum but still had the roasted taste"
"Fat Bottom Brewing is a great brewery with lots after ambiance and a great selection of craft beer. The staff here is very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this brewery."
"We visited here during the Christmas Holiday. We decided to go off and away from the crowd in the noise of downtown Nashville into this nice quiet neighborhood not too far from it. After walking around, we stumbled upon this café. As expected of a café, it smells delicious in here. The vibe was chill with a few people working on their laptop, some folks quietly chatting amongst themselves, and good music playing in the background. The environment is very neat and clean with a minimalism style decor. The vintage music equipment was a nice touch. While we were here, I got the "strawberry fields" pour over coffee. The blend of beans and the style of brew that was applied really did make this taste like strawberries in coffee format. It was quite unique and a good pick-me-up. This hit the spot during the cold winter time we visited here."
"We hit this place mainly based on location... wanted a bite to eat before catching a flight. We wanted to make sure we were close to the airport but didn't want to pay airport food prices if we could avoid it.Chumpy's fit the bill. I was hoping to get there early enough to order from the breakfast menu but didn't make it this time - maybe next time! The place was clean, staff was friendly and my salad was fresh and tasty!"
"The best selection of craft beer I've ever seen. When you go to a brewery, you only get their selections, and a normal bar will only have a few options. This place has so many options of local beer and other craft beer as well. I had to get a flight to try several I had my eye on. Surprised to find they don't have many ML Rose beers but I liked the one I had!"
"Passed by a few times and decided to stop in with the hubby to get an order To Go. It was completely packed when we walked in, and it was all guys working or hanging out there. I only saw two women having coffee on their own. Just surprised, because I haven't been to a coffee shop where it's like 98% guys. It's a really nice place and the person behind the counter was fantastic - they had great energy and welcoming. We ordered at Cortado and Cold Press, and both were great! Also ordered the Breakfast Slider with bacon. It was a filling little sandwich, and very tasty! Waffle was great and delicious. We also ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. We really thought it came on a biscuit (didn't see the pics online) and when we got home realized it was a waffle. Gave it a try - and it was AMAZING! Who knew? I mean it was even better than a traditional Biscuit Sandwich. Plus when we got home, the order was packed well and it was still warm.Definitely coming back again!"
"I went for the first time today and will be back! I got a vanilla iced latte and it was stellar. I also ordered the ham egg and cheese croissant sandwich. The croissant was soooo good and flaky. The atmosphere is trendy and adorable. The staff was so kind and even gave us a free fresh from the oven cookie. I will be back!"
"Our gang of four enjoyed our steak dinner. Friendly, attentive service.Steaks come with a single choice of side, salad bar, and bread if you ask for it. Salad bars take a lot of attention and was kept clean. We chose a Ribeye and Filet Mignon cooked to our order medium-rare with fully loaded baked potato.Seating was mostly couples and tables of four. Larger groups were in another room.Full bar. Private parking lot. Open for dinner Tues-Sunday, lunch Tues-Fri, and brunch only on Sunday.Convenient from BNA airport and The HermitageOverall good value for a steak dinner. The steak was of very good quality and taste.Reservation is essential. Two Small Gripes: * The baked potato had the consistency of a steamed baked potato* Bread was soft like you get at a wedding at a Holiday Inn."
"We had dinner here last night, spurred by the glowing reviews we'd seen. The service was excellent, and the dimmed decor created a wonderful ambiance. The hostess was very helpful, guiding us on where to park since the lot was packed. We loved it here--the dishes were well-portioned and unique. The only thing we felt was missing was perhaps a bit of salt and pepper, but it was perfectly fine without it.Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 10 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. My reviews are meant to be helpful and honest, and I believe that shouldn't affect my Elite status."
"If you are looking for good food and fast service, come here! We stopped by for brunch on a weekday and we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly as she greeted us when we walked in, and she dropped off menus as we sat down. We looked over the menu and it was simple and fast to look over. The server came over soon after and she took our orders. I ordered the #1 (two eggs, bacon, side of home fries and biscuit) I also asked for a side of gravy and sausage and I got a strawberry soda with the added "Zinger". My sister ordered the fried chicken and biscuit entrée. (fried chicken, with two eggs & pepper gravy) Food didn't take too long for it to arrive and it looked so good once it was brought out. It was a lot of food and everything was great. The sausage tasted really good and had a great flavor. I also really enjoyed the potatoes as they were hot and had a nice crunch on the outside. The biscuit with gravy tasted soooooooo good. The biscuit was moist, airy, and warm. The chicken was delicious and had a good taste to it.The only thing we didn't like was the soda with the added phosphate. That has got to be one of the nastiest drinks I've ever tried......The inside was clean and its decorated nicely for the holidays. Service was good, food was great, and we had a good time."
"There are a lot of great places to get upscale tacos in Nashville these days but Saint Anejo still stands out as a winner and a bit different. The tacos are good--each I had and each my table tried was raved about (faves include the Mahi Mahi, Barbacoa, and al pastor) but everything else involved stepped it up: the street corn, the salsa (particularly the bbq spicy one), the churros, the short+stout margaritas, the decor, the prices/value, the ambience, the music, the service. All in all just a great place to have a fun lunch or early dinner. I really appreciate that you can get a booth or your own table and that while there's music it's easy to have a conversation at said table without shouting--many of Anejo's competitors don't provide that. I did see on the Yelp description that they have a free parking lot but for the life of me don't know where--we circled the area many times and ended up using street parking at (a fair) $2 per hour to avoid the criminal metropolis garages."
