Botan Market

I cannot say enough good about this market. The staff is wonderful - friendly and helpful. The meat is absolutely the best, butchered on site. Small but great produce selection - fresh and very reasonably priced. Middle eastern spices, canned goods, bulk goods, cheeses and yogurts, even tortillas. Frozen foods, nuts (including the best pistachios at the most reasonable price anywhere), baked goods (desserts and many types of flatbreads). You will be amazed at the variety of groceries in this small market. Going to Botsn's always makes me happy.

Needed some bread and spice for shawarma and hummus dinner. Great location for fresh veges and middle eastern recipe needs.

This is a great little grocery. They have great prices on produce, an in-house halal butcher, bulk spices, grains, nuts, dried fruits, beans, etc. They have a great assortment of hard to find ingredients essential for Indian, Middle Eastern, and North African cuisine. They receive daily deliveries of traditional fresh-made breads in the style of these regions as well; they've got the best pita bread I've had in Nashville. In addition to a wonderful selection of food and drink, Botan has an extremely friendly staff. As other reviewers have noted, if you're interested in trying one of the house-made pastries or perhaps a sampling of the many varieties of olives, they're more than happy to oblige. They go out of the way to earn your business. In short, I'm very happy that they're walking distance from my home, but even if they weren't, I'd still find excuses to shop here.

They have a very good variety of fresh produce and a moderate amount of bakery items. They also have a good amount of grocery items. I would definitely go again.

Spent a Saturday afternoon visiting different international grocers throughout the Nashville area. Botan Market was exceptional for a few reasons: fantastic staff, a wide selection of options, and competitive prices. The store had a great selection of spices, meats, produce, and unusual Mediterranean foods, all priced less than if they were at big box grocery stores. There is also a selection of bakery options. I will be incorporating Botan Market into my usual shopping destinations, especially when I need to refill my spice rack.

Love this market, super friendly workers and always fresh fruits and super affordable! My go to Mediterranean shop!

I've found this awesome store and it has all the international food selections that I'm accustomed to. Everyone there is pleasant and there is a great selection of meat for a great price. Momentarily I feel like I'm in another country and not Nashville, TN when I walk in. I'll be back!

The service here can't be beat. Buying lots of baklava and pastries? They almost always throw one in for free. Jumping on the anti-pink-slime bandwagon? They grind the meat in front of you. Want advice on what to do with the stuff you're staring at? Just ask. First time in the restaurant? The owner showed us around and took us to the back to give us some of the kebobs he was cooking with his own meat and seasoning. Want fresh bread? It's delivered regularly, lavash, pita, and injera. Really, it doesn't get a lot better than that, plus it's walking distance from my house. Having delicious baklava less than a mile from my front door is a dangerous thing, but also an awesome thing.

When I went last week I got some meat and the person how was catching the meat started cutting piece from my meat and put it in a different bag after he weighed it I was so shocked I couldn't believe it ,because I get my meat all the time from there . when I get home, I check up my meat it's missing part. I decide not get anything from there. No more they are cheating .

Botan is simply the best local market I have ever come across. Produce is always superb quality, meat is fresh and as good as it gets. I shop here for everything I possibly can. Great selection of dairy, breads, canned goods, and spices as well. Highly recommended!!
