"Here we are pulling up to a restaurant starving only to find out they were a victim of the flood. Diving back into Yelp we found this place and seen it was closing in 12 minutes and we were 9 minutes away. We called the number listed and expect the wort. We received the opposite, he said "come on, I will hold the door for you" We arrived and were undecided about what we wanted so we ordered everything on the menu. The fella thought we were crazy but was incredibly accommodating. We hauled tail back to the camp ground and proceeded to get our eats on."
"Jack's Bar-B-Que is a great option for barbecue if you are on this side of Nashville, Tennessee. The place has a great ambiance and vibe for a barbecue restaurant. You know the type, kind of a hole-in-the-wall type place with an eclectic mix of bric-a-brac adorning the walls and they have the prerequisite pig statue. The ordering process is pretty simple. You go.up to the counter and order your meal, they fill your plate, you pay and either take it to-go or sit at a table and enjoy the feast.I went with the pulled pork dinner and for my two sides, I went with turnip greens and potato salad. I also went with Texas toast. I also went over and tried quite a few of their barbecue sauces. They have a table with their sauces available. The pork was fantastic and the sides were pretty good, as well. The staff was friendly and again, the ambiance was definitely enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Jack's Bar-B-Que and I give it five stars."

Visit Restaurant Page"Dry-rub barbecue is the specialty here. I had never tried dry-rubbed ribs before, and I think I'm in love! I never even thought to ask for sauce, but I think they do provide sauce, if you want some. The menu is pretty succinct: dry-rubbed meats, sides, a couple of desserts. There's a bar at the other end of the restaurant if you want a beer or cocktail. I got the half rack of ribs with two sides, and I chose mac & cheese and slaw. I was told that the mac & cheese is the thing to get here, and yes, it is! The mac & cheese is super creamy and made with large shell pasta, sprinkled with a bit of pepper. It was amazing.I visited with a group, and we ordered a bunch of sides for the table. I demanded the Kool-Aid pickles, which are pickle spears soaked in cherry Kool-Aid. I don't even like pickles, but I needed to get this abomination of a side. And you know what? The Kool-Aid pickles were good! They tasted like pickles, but were a nice reddish color. We also got the pimento cheese, which came with a literal sleeve of saltines still in the plastic package. And the Memphis Sushi, which is a platter if kielbasa sausage circles served with rectangles of cheddar cheese, saltines and pepperocinis. I saw banana pudding on the menu, and I had to get that. I love a good banana pudding, and this one is great. It's served with whipped cream and a Nilla wafer on top. It's a great way to end a great southern barbecue meal."
"We've been to this little shack a few times now. Just moved here and certainly not experts on bbq like many locals might be, but I've got to say, the ribs here were some of the best we've ever had. There's a picnic table where you can eat. You might want to do that after you spend a few minutes waiting for your meal smelling that wonderful smoke coming from the grill. We also like that because we can bring our pup with us and she loves the bones too! Next time you just don't feel like cooking, give it a try. I think you'll be a fan also."
"So, the four of us decided to hit up this spot for brunch today. Everyone went the traditional route and ordered omelettes, but not me--I went rogue with a PB&J chicken biscuit. I asked them to swap the tomato jam for peach habanero, but they gave me plain peach jam instead. Luckily, they fixed it without any drama. The biscuit sandwich? Decent, but no fireworks.Meanwhile, my friends' omelettes were like a game of musical chairs; their orders got all mixed up.The place is tiny inside, and while they have outdoor seating, Mother Nature was throwing a tantrum with rain today. On the bright side, there's plenty of street parking!"
"I was too full to eat something here because we just came from house of cards Buffet . That did not mean that we did not come in to enjoy the music and admire the whole place. I mean it is the Johnny Cash restaurant, so yeah I'm gonna stop and hang out.#LoveJohnnyCash"
"This is my favorite bbq in Nashville and really anywhere. It is consistently good. They have several bbq sauces to choose from. My favorite is the pulled pork and the chocolate fudge pie for dessert. We always make sure to grab some pie to bring back home to Illinois. Highly recommend you won't be disappointed."
"Don't let the modest exterior fool you, this place serves up the best Korean food in Nashville! They have an extensive menu of all the classics (bibimbap, soft tofu soup, barbecued meats like bulgogi and Galbi, stews for 2, Korean pancakes, you name it). Big portions and authentic taste. Their Banchan is also solid - love their potatoes. Comfy seating with booths and tables, and a back room for overflow seating. Food can sometimes be a little slow to come out if they're busy but it's worth it!"
"This place is a good time. Barbecue and no nonsense. Brisket sandwiches to a chicken finger salad. My daughter will tell You best Mac & Cheese ever. The service is great. I will go back any chance I get. Someone hand me a napkin. Thanks"
"Our group was touring the Plantation, and our original plan was to have lunch elsewhere. However, the group leaders made a last-minute decision for us to have lunch at Meat and Three, Good call! The lunch options include salad options that have been pre-packaged or a choice of a meat and up to three sides (hence the name). I went the baked ham that they carved in front of me with a very generous portion, plus two sides from a nice variety of options. All of the employees were very polite and efficient. On this spring day, we had dining options inside or on their porch, which was very pleasant.Great flavor in the ham, the corn pudding, and the macaroni and cheese. So glad that we dined there instead of some fast food place further down the interstate,"
"FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Ahh the loaded turkey baked potato really hit the spot. The amount of meat that came with the potato was just right. Also, the BBQ sauce was unique and amazing. Definitely worth it."

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Was recommended by another local and the most solid recommendation ever given. Set up is a small trailer and has a small patio set up off the side to sit down in, but great to grab & go. Service was quick! I'm a saucy girl, especially with BBQ but this spot has one of the best sauces, and ONLY sauce as far as I know. It isn't super sweet, not too thin or thin. Perfect compliment to the meat. Huge fan!!

I stopped in this Jacks Bar-B-Que location while visiting Nashville for the weekend (From NC). The location was very convenient to our hotel. Being from NC, there is a plethora of good Bar-B-Que, but I know Tennessee also has some good Que so I was intrigued. I ordered the pork BBQ sandwich with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was very good and they have a lot of different sauces you can add to it if you wish. I liked the potato salad also. They have other sides to choose from which looked great such as the baked beans and mac and cheese. I wanted another side, but since they are a la carte and it would have been a bit pricey for lunch.Overall I think Jacks Bar-B-Que was a good choice for a BBQ lunch in Nashville.

I just don't think barbecue can get much better than this, and this is coming from someone who is NOT an avid BBQ eater but has been to spots all over the south. They are FAST and efficient after you order, their prices are incredibly reasonable and I loved every item they had to offer. In particular, their ribs, mac n cheese and coleslaw are divine.... but do not sleep on their jalapeño cheddar sausage, it was my favorite item on my plate! It's been quite a while since I was first here and I noticed no drop-off in quality whatsoever, and all of my friends raved about their meals as well.

Cute little place with indoor and outdoor seating and good food. The bronut was definitely a favorite of the whole table. It is quite sweet, so I wouldn't just eat that, but I did enjoy sharing it with the table. The stuffed French toast sounded promising, but I wouldn't recommend it. The bronut was definitely way better than the French toast. The firebird sandwich was our favorite of the three sandwiches we ordered with the PB&J chicken biscuit being a close second. The jam on firebird paired well with the biscuit, cheese, and chicken. The breakfast tacos were good, but I would definitely recommend ordering the firebird over getting the tacos. The only two real disappointments were the poutine and the fried green tomatoes. The sauce with the fried green tomatoes was good, but the tomatoes themselves were pretty soggy. The few pieces we were served were definitely not worth the $8 we were charged for them. In addition, the poutine was a pretty watery/soggy mess with little flavor. The pork was bland and not that appetizing. All in all, if you order the right food, this is a great place with delicious food. I would recommend staying away from the fried green tomatoes and poutine. You can't go wrong if you order a bronut and firebird sandwich.

Great food and fun ambience! There is a live band, keep all the other fried chicken we had in Nashville this one is so good!!! Cool old building. Stairs down to the bathroom is interesting and go into the museum store to get some fun souvenirs right next door.

Stopped in town and was looking for a bar-b-que spot and found Jack's. It's a serve-at-the-front and sit-down type of atmosphere, which I love because you get to see the meat and sides in front of you. The service was great, extremely helpful, and steered us in the right direction when it came to getting a little bit of everything without breaking the bank.Got the two meats, wet brisket and sausage, and a 1/4 of pulled pork. I could have done without the sausage, as it wasn't anything spectacular, and gone with more brisket (wow!!!) and pulled pork. The brisket had a charred outside but was exceptionally moist and tender inside. The pulled pork was also incredible. For the sides, we got mac and cheese, which lacked in flavor a bit, and their mashed potatoes and gravy, which hit a home run. I wasn't a fan of their cornbread, it was a bit dense and tasted more like a cake consistency. I also had a bit of my MIL half chicken, smokey and juicy. Overall, glad we stopped by and would definitely come back.
Visit Restaurant Page"I love some BBQ nachos and this is the place to get them! I love their outdoor patio - I have come plenty of time to watch football, soccer and hockey. Great spot to have a neighborhood hang and get a great meal. The Nations is a great location, there is street parking and a lot near the "back" of the restaurant/patio."
"This is on the 2nd Floor of the Food Assembly Hall. I came here because it looked like the best deal in the entire Food Hall. I believe I was right. For $14, I got a large serving of chips, beans, queso, Pulled Pork, and jalapenos. Dreams do come true. I could not finish it all. Even though it was glorious in size, it lacked flavor. I even had pork skin in the nachos that was just blah. They should offer seasoning salt or BBQ sauce to raise the flavor profile. The beans were watery."
"I just got off a plane when I read a text from my husband. He wanted me to stop at a car dealership on my way home and test drive a car he saw online. Ever the sweet wife, I took a detour and headed to the dealership. As I finished the drive, I asked my salesman where I could get a quick burger that wasn't a fast food place. This dude looked like he has had a few burgers in his lifetime so when he said go to Hugh-Babies, I listened. Hugh-babies is what is fast-casual. Not a fast food place but somewhere where you get your food fast. And fast it was - I had my burger, fries and milkshake in about 5 minutes. I still had a 100 mile drive home and wanted to get in the road so I got my order to go and ate in the car. I opted for something not too messy and ordered the cheeseburger. The large, juicy patty's came topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and comeback sauce. Not sure what was in the comeback sauce but I'll definitely come back for it. My shoestring fries were burn your tongue hot and just the right amount of crispy. The chocolate shake? Let's just say I should have ordered the large. In addition to burgers, the menu also offered a selection of bbq sandwiches and hot dogs. There was plenty of seating both at tables and at a counter overlooking the grill. Likewise, there was plenty of parking out front. I'm glad I listened to my salesman. And no, I didn't buy the car...if you have a Lincoln MKZ Reserve for sale, let me know!"
"This spot is worth the trip outside of the city. We ordered quite a few items to try a little bit of everything and loved it all! The fried chicken was our favorite. There were plenty of tables available to sit at on a Thursday afternoon. Do make sure to check the hours before planning your visit because they are only open Thursday-Saturday"
"I've dropped in twice now and this place is great! The bbq is soooo good! I've had ribs and brisket from here. The brisket just melts it's amazing. I'm looking forward to trying the chicken. The bread for the sandwiches is so perfect I wish I didn't love it so much! They give it a little toast and it's fluffy and crisp around the edges. Sides are okay but it's the meat here that brings the hungry to the yard!"
"Shabu Shabu is a very good hot pot restaurant that is a fun time! I've been twice and both times it's been very busy with wait times, so be prepared for that! It's a price fixe menu and you select your broth base with a variety of options. I had the Szechuan base when I came in and ordered it the hot level. I was a little worried it would be all heat, but was pleasantly surprised that it had a very good flavorful broth with a kick of heat on top. You can also add on a grill offering where you grill your own meats at the table. That's a nice option, but I prefer just the hot pot since it's very filling and I found I typically skipped the grilled meats. You select as many meats, veggies, noodles, eggs, etc from the buffet and conveyor belt. They also have sushi and desserts. Be warned that it gets very hot in the restaurant with all the grills and boiling broth happening. The servers are attentive and they have wine, beer and sake. Come very hungry because it's a filling meal!"
"Unexpected little gem of a place. I have to admit I judged a book by its cover and this time I was supremely wrong. When we arrived to stay at a near by place for a few days I saw this place and while it was crowded I overlooked it. I wrongly assumed it was busy because of its proximity to hotels and attractions, not because of their food or service. I was wrong on both accounts. Caney Fork is busy because they are good. We came here on our last night of our honeymoon to get some food after being out all day. The day before we had gone to their attached ice cream place and found that they were both family owned and since the restaurant offered wild game meat my husband was super interested in trying it. We came here before 5 on a Sunday so it wasn't packed with people and were greeted and seated super fast. Our server Red was awesome. He was personable and knowledgeable about the menu and gave great suggestions. We got the wild game platter and also the surf and turf. The wild game platter had fried gator, Cajun frog legs, elk patties and, wild game sausage along with their outfitter stew. The gator wasn't tough it was fried perfectly and had great flavor. The frog legs were tender and flavorful. The patties were a little dry but I imagine that in a burger they would be amazing and paired with the bbq sauce that came with them took any dryness away. The sausage was bursting with flavor and the stew reminded me of an Irish beef stew or a nice hearty winter stew. The surf and turf had an 8oz sirloin that was perfectly cooked and juicy. The shrimp was bbq grilled and bursting with flavor. The sides were had were the campfire potatoes that had a great crunch and the onions only complimented the flavor. And the deep fried cheese curds were not overly greasy and had the perfect melted consistency. It was a fun dining experience. The restaurant is done amazingly with tons of fun things to see and to discover. The waterfall lake with fish were fun to be seated by and provided their own entertainment. Like I said before Red our server was awesome. Fun and funny and made it more of an experience. He wanted us to enjoy everything which is what exactly happened. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be back for the food and also the service. Check this place out for something fun for the family or a date or just for good food."
"Yum! Solid spot. Great BBQ and friendly service. Very casual and no nonsense but everyone inside was friendly and it was spotless and well-maintained inside. We stopped in about 25 minutes before close so they were sold out of ribs for the day and nearly out of brisket so my husband snagged the last platter of Brisket while I got a pulled pork sandwich served with Cole slaw on it and pickled red onion and pickles on the side. My side was Texas baked beans. They were good but a bit spicy! I added the jalapeño cornbread for $1 and it was fresh, moist and well worth the addition! My pulled pork was delicious. A huge portion on the sandwich and very moist and flavorful. It's dry and you add your sauce from the table. Their sweet tea was SO good. I had like 3 cups of it. Tasted just like my grandma's!"
"Nice mom and pop restaurant, my co worker took us here for lunch the burger was great well cooked the Mac n cheese was meh but I'll definitely be back to try the ribs"
"Omg this food truck is amazing. I ordered the Carolina Style Pulled Pork with Mac and cheese and collards. The bbq is kind of sweet, with a molasses style base. It's a sweet barbecue and not too much vinegar. The Mac and cheese is a shell style mac. It was creamy and really good. The collards were also on point. I usually ask for vinegar but these didn't need any extra. The cornbread was sweet as well and not crumbly at all. Totally a winner here. Great food truck."
"Overall not bad. The setting is a cozy classic country BBQ spot with nice staff.Tried two meat plate with 2 sides, of Sliced Brisket and pulled pork, fried Okra and turnip greens which was almost $30. The brisket was a tad dry, but not tough, and good flavor with a char edge. The pulled pork strangely did not have flavor, but was tender. Their mild sauce is a perfect vinegar BBQ sauce that was the saving grace for the pork. The fried okra was a big portion for the side (which I think cost extra), and the pieces are pretty heavy breading, but not soggy. The turnip greens had a slight sweetness to them, and were really soupy which is not my thing. There was a white sauce that came with the meal, which wasn't white BBQ, and seemed like a gravy of sorts that I've never had before. Tasted ok with the corn cake!Food was up quick for lunch."
"11/16/23: My first state of Nashville and what a delight. I'm not normally a meat eater by choice but I have to say the rib wrap was delicious. So much flavor, my tongue was in BBQ heaven.Another spot on the strip with live music. Our wait staff was great, knowledgeable, friendly and constantly checked on us.Various folks got up to dance when they did Tennessee Whiskey.Drink was strong. Definitely good time had by all!"
"HoneyFire BBQ in Bellevue is a fantastic spot for some seriously good barbecue! The food here is great, every dish I've tried has been flavorful and cooked really well. The meats are tender, the sauces are delicious, and the sides are just as good as the mains. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great place to kick back and enjoy a meal with family or friends. Whether you're a BBQ connoisseur or just looking for a good meal, HoneyFire won't disappoint. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!"
"Awesome BBQ! Had a craving for BBQ and I passed by and saw the smoke then I got stuck in traffic so I whipped in the parking lot. Ordered the pork shoulder plate sauce on the side, baked beans and cole slaw. Huge portion for $8. Meat was well seasoned and tasty. Baked beans has meat in it cole slaw creamy. Yum Yum Goodness!"
"Very surprised by our visit for AYCE Korean BBQ. This restaurant was much larger than we thought and lots of options on the menu. The staff was nice and our server Danni gets 5 stars! I have done AYCE Korean before (many times) and this one was a little different. You get to choose 2 meats and 3 Banchans (sides) for the table per round/order. That was a little odd, because they consider rice and wrappers as sides. Plus it's nice when all the traditional Korean banchans are out on a table. But our server was great and we figured out how to time is so we can get what we wanted with our meal. I just don't know how large groups would do that? Maybe consider 2 banchan requests per customer for each round? Banchan and meat portions were good. Also meat quality was great. Really good Bulgogi and pork belly. Kimchi was good and we really went because they had radish wrappers! We haven't seen those in Nashville, just lettuce usually. Now if they had rice wrappers and fish cake that would be awesome! Also no steamed egg here. They put Yum Yum sauce in your trio of sauces which we thought was odd. They do have Mac & Cheese, Fries and Chicken Nuggets (their version) as sides, if your kiddo is not a Korean BBQ fan - that was cool. The offer vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream at the end but we were full. Food overall was good. Very clean and great ventilation - you didn't smell at all like you came out of a Korean BBQ Restaurant. Also, lots of seating options, especially for groups and parties which was cool. Full bar and food drink/beer selection - wish they had Hite beer on the list."
"Stopped in for dinner on a business trip. We didn't wait long at all for a table. They were celebrating their 20th anniversary and it was a very hopping place on a Tuesday. The live music was good. The food was very tasty and so were the drinks."
"Remarkable food and exceptional customer service! When I saw all the five-star reviews I had to go see what the fuss was about. The reviews are well-earned!Let's cut to the chase. You're reading this review because you found The Candied Rib Company. Go try their food! You will not be disappointed. In fact, I think it is safe to say that even with all their fantastic reviews, your expectations will be exceeded. Trust me on this.Note that this is mostly a takeout spot, though they have a couple of tables to sit at while you wait, so... you know... Or you could just eat in your car or take it home. Worth it either way!I live about a half hour away, but finally made the journey this past weekend. I wish I had visited them sooner! This is mostly a BBQ restaurant, I would say, but their menu is a little varied so it is sort of hard to categorize them. But they are so good at what they do!I had the Baby Back Ribs, sloppy style (though you can also get them dry rubbed without sauce). They were cooked to absolute perfection, moist and tender and delicious. I had their potato salad, even though I knew it wasn't the style I normally prefer, and I was very impressed. My wife got the Burnt Ends, which were also cooked to perfection and smokey and flavorful. Yes, of course I her for sharing with me! She also got the Honey-Glazed Broccoli, which was phenomenal. And that's coming from a guy who normally skips the vegetables and goes right for the meat. This side dish is simple, and yet executed with perfection. Charred and a little sweet with the light glaze, and cooked perfectly. The owners are a great team, running a great business and clearly having fun at it. And they make the experience of being a customer fun too.I can't say enough about what a great experience we had at The Candied Rib Company. Give them a try and you will definitely become a repeat customer."
"For a bar, it is a cool enough destination. I did not try any of the food on this trip, but the staff was friendly and professional and added to my overall experience. As for the atmosphere, think sports bar. Nothing fancy, but plenty of TV's and an overall sports bar vibe. This was a cool enough place to while away a bit of time and enjoy some down time."
"There's no KBBQ spots near where I live so I was excited to try Arisu while in TN for my birthday week.Honestly I'm not sure if they're trying to be an upscale Korean BBQ restaurant with their fancy gold dinnerware, I definitely felt like I was at a regular restaurant. I missed the huge overhead vents that classic KBBQ spots in CA would have too, that just adds to the ambience.I ordered the spicy rice cake and corn cheese. My husband also got the corn cheese, and the pork belly. I think both of us enjoyed the corn cheese cause who wouldn't enjoy some corn with a heaping amount of cheese... but our main dishes were definitely lacking. I tried some of the pork belly and it didn't have much flavor. It tasted very salty and fatty. I don't think it was worth the $25 price tag. My spicy rice cake was decent but nothing special. If we were to give them a second try I'd probably try their bulgogi beef. Maybe their spicy rice cake and pork belly just aren't the best options on their menu.Service was decent. Our waitress was friendly and came around to check up on us. The restaurant was surprisingly empty for it being a Sunday evening but it may also be because they're a little overpriced.Overall I would say Arisu is ok. Nothing like KBBQ I've had in CA though. Hopefully there are more authentic spots in TN."
