Nate M. "Delicious and delicate pastries, but with a steep price tag. My trip here was by accident. I had an errand in the same shopping center and popped in after to get my wife some treats. I bought a six pack of macarons and one caramel eclair. The macarons were perfect! Light and chewy with just the right amount of filling. My favorite was the coconut, pistachio, and the coffee flavor. My wife loved the sea salt caramel and chocolate hazelnut. The passion fruit macaron was just meh. The caramel eclair was also just ok. I'm not sure if it was the flavor or the texture, but neither of us were feeling it. These treats do cost a pretty penny, but you can see the effort and care that goes into each one. They are like tiny works of art. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to come back here, but if I was the neighborhood I would stop in and try their savory pastries. That ham and cheese croissant was calling my name!"

The vegetarian breakfast sandwich is outstanding. Best thing is no egg! I guess if you want that they can add but it's so nice they have a lovely breakfast sandwich on fantastic fresh bread, yummy veggies and cooked to perfection. The meat lover at the table had the Viking and enjoyed. Don't miss the hashbrown casserole. It's totally a great addition to your meal. Friendly service and nice homey dining room."

Services was fast, space is large and food came quickly. They have high chairs and this was the perfect spot to hang with a friends plus a 6 month old for lunch. The street corn quinoa salad was unique and the reason I will go back again. Also, there's parking in this cute little area of East Nashville."

Doug G. "Ah, Cocorico, how you have become a favorite hidden gem in the middle of Midtown! Cocorico is a small French bakery offering up delicious pastries, croissants, sandwiches, snacks and of course, coffee. Located directly across from the Division Street Loop and the famous Musica statue, Cocorico is a quaint, bright and welcoming spot to grab a cup of coffee and relax, or pick up a pastry and hit the streets of midtown. Service was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and helpful from entry to exit. What was even better than the service? The chocolate croissant. Flaky yet fluffy with just the right amount of chocolate throughout. While the chocolate croissant was all for me, I did get my partner the almond croissant, and it received rave reviews as well! Due to the location, parking may seem daunting, but don't fret as they have you covered up to 90 minutes in the attached garage! Overall, super great find in Midtown! Happy to have ventured in and even happier knowing I can come back!"

Annette H. "We happened to be having dinner nearby and decided to check out this bakery afterwards. We felt a little lost when we walked in because we didn't observe any signs labeling the different varieties of bread. However, an employee quickly walked up to us and let us know that the trays and tongs were by the door, and identified a few of the breads that looked interesting to us. Since it was our first time here, I was hesitant and choose two items--a pineapple bread and a cherry bread. The purchase was less than $2. Something like $1.80, which seemed really inexpensive because the two items were pretty hefty in size.Took them back to our hotel and split them in half. OMG...they were so good. I was tempted to eat the other half but decided to be nice and share them with my husband who thought they were good too.For the next two days, I kept thinking about this bakery and ways I could convince my husband to take me back there. However, my conscience for trying not to eat too many sweets and carbs got the better of me and we didn't have a chance to go back. But in the future, if we're ever in the area again, I can't wait to go back to this bakery and try more of their items. So delicious! Glad it's not close to where I live otherwise I'd be in trouble!"

Alexis B. "I stopped by Panini Bread Cafe for a sandwich today since I hadn't packed a lunch for work. Their menu is simple - mostly, you guessed it, panini. I got the tuna melt and a side pasta salad from the fridge. The tuna melt was average - not the worst I've ever had but certainly on the drier side and not very memorable. The pasta salad was okay - not super fresh, because some of the rotini pasta had dried out at the ends. The service was fine; I wouldn't say anyone was particularly friendly, but they were fast! This wasn't a meal I'm craving to repeat anytime soon, but I work very close to the cafe, so I'm sure I'll be back sometime soon when I forget to bring a lunch to work!"

Bailey D. "Wow! A friend introduced me to Dozen for a midweek lunch, and I am still thinking about it two weeks later! We arrived around noon on a Thursday and only had to wait in line a few minutes. You can tell that this spot gets busy quickly -- and we did have to quickly snag an open table. My friend (who had been here before) said the Ham & Cheese Croissant is her absolute favorite, but they run out of them quickly because they're everyone's favorite! Instead, we split the Salami sandwich on baguette, which was wonderful. The crusty bread balanced perfectly with the fatty salami and the creamy, tangy mayo. I also ordered one of their seasonal lattes, which was a nice accompaniment at any time of day. I couldn't resist grabbing one of their enormous Snickerdoodle cookies for the road ... and I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed most of it on my car ride home. I'm excited to stop by Dozen again soon!"

I was eating in the area just happened to stumble and seen this place. They have Birthday party picture frames hand made for purchases and cute piñata. Cashier lady working the front speaks only Spanish so she wasn't much help. She had to go to the back to find some one to help us out. I purchased a slice of tres leche cake and it was delicious. But definitely a place I would keep in mind to come back for churros next time."

Monique M. "I was in Nashville for the first time on vacation and read great things about The Cupcake Collection in Essence magazine. Without a doubt I made plans to stop by to try their treats while supporting a local black business. The location is a small but cute bakery within what seems like a house. I arrived about 2 hours before closing and upon walking in, I was greeted kindly. Unfortunately they were out of most the flavors I had wanted to try so, I settled for a red velvet and a wedding cake flavored cupcakes. I decided to indulge in my cupcakes on the porch. Firstly, both of the cupcakes were moist and flavorful. I mean, they were GOOOODDD! Probably one of the best I've ever had. Of the two, I loved the wedding cake cupcake which surprised me because it has almond buttercream and I was apprehensive as to what that would taste like. It was superb! The sweetness on both flavors was balanced very well. I had to stop myself from eating both of them in one sitting lol. Nonetheless, it was really good and I wished I had more time to go back and purchase more. Luckily they offer online ordering, so guess who will be ordering very soon? *points to herself*. I highly recommend to others and I would surely return if I'm in Nashville again!"

Adam H. "Stopped by on a college visit trip to Vandy with the youngest and the wifey. It was the "number one" Yelp suggested restaurant in Nashville, so I had to see what was up with that. Cool ass place! I see what it's ranked so high, it's very " New Nashville" if you will.... Lot's of "New Nashville" stereotypes and stereotypical places around. Arrived to find a small wait around 11:00 or so. Posted up on the wait list and we were accurately quoted 30 mins. Inside was pretty warm but they warned us at the door. It was misleading up front as it seemed cool, it got way worse as you got further in, but they did warn of the heat so I can't blame them. Open kitchen is cool, till it ain't, LOL. Kid had pancakes and bacon. Asked for extra syrup, got maybe one ounce extra for a dollar, WTF, that's strange. Bad thing, it still wasn't enough. Better bring one of those little bottles Cracker Barrel gives you here, yo. They were just ok pancakes. Wifey had the square bene. Cute presentation, looked really tasty . I didn't try it though. Well executed sight wise. She also ordered Tomato Gravy and two biscuits. She hated it and only ate one bite. It is unlike any tomato gravy I have ever had myself either. Biscuits were tiny, more like "bisc".... You know, abbreviated versions of biscuits. Come to Memphis, go to Sunrise or Kinfolk for a whole ass biscuit. I had the cold brew and corned beef hash skillet. Cold brew was standard, did its job though. CBH skillet was meh. Kinda dry all around. The beef was cut way too big for as tough as it was. Hash itself was pretty tasty though. Egg was cooked sunny too done, then sat under the lamp and got fully cooked so no relief there. Great idea for a dish though. Kinda sad I landed on my choice actually. I saw some other really other cool looking foods landing around us. Not all that impressed with my visit really. Would not wait again. '24 - 58/100"

They have a great location in a cute house just off Main Street in Downtown Franklin. Parking is "Franklin parking" but if you are good to walk, there are lots of spaces many of them without charge. Staff was very pleasant and efficiently getting customers through the checkout counter. I picked a couple of mini quiche and a couple of muffins to bring home. The quiche were very good, nice flaky crust, good flavor without being overly greasy. We sampled the Tomato/Goat cheese and the bacon. Both are items I would order again. Got the morning glory muffin and it was really good, large and chock full of nuts, raisins and goodness. Pretty filling though so yes, you could split it especially if you are having anything else. Took me a while to get here but I'll be back soon!"

Doug G. "So awesome to be able to visit the long awaited brick and mortar of Fatbelly Pretzel! Situated in a small plaza on Gallatin Ave in East Nashville, Fatbelly was a welcome addition! Recently had a friend in town and I knew exactly where we needed to go, so we ended up at Fatbelly around 11:00 AM. My pal wanted breakfast and I wanted lunch, and we both wanted a pretzel. He got the Breakfast Sando with bacon, which is pre-made, but kept hot and still quite tasty. I opted for the Hamma Mia! lunch special and we shared a plain salted pretzel. The Hamma Mia! sounded delish, but when it arrived to the table I was blown away by how much ham, salami, mozzarella, artichoke cream, chili crisp, balsamic drizzle and arugula they stuffed between that beautiful sourdough focaccia! I had to formulate a plan to eat this thing and was only able to tackle half of it. Absolutely gorgeous and tasty sammy! The pretzel was solid...and I weirdly learned that Fatbelly is a variety of pretzel. When you first see their pretzels you think to yourself "man those are skinny but also weirdly imperfect pretzels"...and they are. They are certainly not the prettiest pretzels, but the "fatbelly" signifies skinny and chewy arms with a soft, fat belly. Makes total and tasty sense now! Service was stellar and friendly. Overall, loved visiting and love having Fatbelly in the neighborhood now!"

Didn't love the jam (though I love that it was made locally!), but maybe honey-based jams aren't my thing. I bet the blueberry one would be better. But just the bread with the butter was very, very good! They also have some nut butter available (I think those are local too). I got a London Fog with oat milk that I enjoyed, too. I think they're all just one size; it was like a normal "medium" & they steam it with the tea bag in. Gives off farmhouse vibes, they have a few spots to take nice pictures! The shop is a pretty decent size. They have so many fresh food options that looked delicious! From what I remember there were full dinner options like lasagna, pasta and even desserts like full size cakes and whoopie pies. They also had various cheeses and meats to choose from. Unfortunately my family and I had other plans for the day so we were unable to try their fresh, refrigerated options. There's also a good selections of honey, jams & jellies, bread, snacks and candies to choose from! I would have personally loved to try their flavored bread but we were only going to be in Nashville for a few days.We did grab their caramel puffs, cheese crisp chips and buckeyes.
