"Excellent casual spot for fresh, buttery, teriyaki salmon, fried rice and crisp veggies. Love that it comes with a cup of yummy miso soup. Huge servings. Eat in the cozy restaurant or get take out to easy meal prep for 2 meals. Everything I've tried has been good. Definitely a go to for a quick healthy meal in Nashville. Across from Vanderbilt and less than a mile from downtown. Easy parking and great friendly service.Included in Taste of Nashville accepting Commodore Cash for Vandy students."
"Still open, but for take out and delivery only. No dine-in available. We ordered a ton of food for only $35 with tip, nice. The food was flavorful, but nothing was amazing. The highlights we're the pork low mein and the Mongolian beef. The Mongolian beef had great flavor, but not enough beef! It was 50/50 onions to beef. The low mein was great, lots of textures and surprisingly light. Don't forget the veggie springs roll, always a must order! Only a couple of low lights to the meal. The fried rice seemed old and dried out and General Tso's chicken was basically orange chicken. Still had good flavor, but zero heat. AM Chinese Food is one-hundred percent worth another try, but next time we'll sample a few different menu items."

"Search out this wonderful, splendiferous, tantalizing, tasty triumphant food sensation wherever it may wonder. It's like a scavenger hunt with tasty treats at the end! The owner operators couldn't be kinder or more generous with their delicious hand made food or hospitality!"
"A great foodie spot offering fine dining quality food set in a casual yet elevated atmosphere. Came in on a Wednesday night and were seated at the chef's counter which allowed for an interactive culinary experience as we could watch our food be prepared in front of us! It was nice to chat to the chefs as well and see them them work their magic. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu and then the elk filet, brussel sprouts, and watermelon/arugula salad. I had a bit higher expectations for the tasting menu as nothing was a standout/would order again but it had unique dishes and flavor profiles to try and was a good intro into the restaurant. The elk was delicious and might have been my favorite- gamey with an earthiness flavor to it and I loved the corn it was served with. Brussel sprouts were tasty- I really just loved the in house bacon in there. The watermelon salad was tasty and light. I overall enjoyed the regular menu (changes) more than the tasting but the whole experience, service, food, and ambience was sO much fun! I definitely want to come back for happy hour and to try more menu items!"
"The staff is very sweet, which makes the experience great! I enjoyed the food, but it was pretty standard. It'a great to have asia food in the farmers market. I tried the lo mein, chicken and veggies, orange chicken, and an egg roll. The loMein was a little oily and not super flavorful, but still enjoyable. The orange chicken has large pieces of chicken and good flavor. The chicken and veggies had lots of types of veggies but overall not packing in flavor. I will still go back, but it's not something I feel like I'll crave!"
"Holy cow. I've never had Vietnamese food before. After hitting up the spot, maybe that's all I'll ever eat.First, the staff is fast and friendly and happy to explain what the dishes are to newbies like me. While parking can be competitive at prime times, there is plenty of seating, both inside and out. In addition, the vibe is super chill and relaxing.I had the wings and buns with tofu. I've pretty much only thought about these dishes since I left the restaurant a few days ago. Cannot wait to back."
"My first confession is that I visited Maru Iyagi, not once, but twice in 2 days because I was so impressed with their sushi. My second confession is that I don't have any pictures because I devoured my sushi upon receiving it both times. I think maybe I would have remembered if I dined in, but it was for takeout both times. In Hendersonville & Gallatin, I've tried several sushi-specialty restaurants and restaurants that serve sushi but none "wow'd" me like Maru Iyagi. The staff are very nice. I tried ordering online but I wasn't familiar with their menu, so I ended up just ordering to-go, in-person. They were accommodating and answered all my questions, even gave me suggestions. Between my two visits, I ordered 7 maki rolls and ginger salads. They even recognized me the second time. The ginger salad is OK. Not knocking on Maru Iyagi specifically, but it seems to me all ginger salads have underwhelming flavor. It's like the ginger dressing is watered down. So to deal with that issue on the 2nd order, I just ordered extra dressing because doubling your dressing means more flavor, right? Now the rolls. On the first order, I ordered these rolls:Pink LadyHurricaneRainbowBaja FreshOn the second order, I ordered these rolls:Pink LadyHurricaneDragonInitially, I thought the Pink Lady & Hurricane were my favorites, that is until I tried the Dragon roll. That is my current favorite there. The Dragon Roll's fish of choice is eel, which isn't my favorite fish but it's the avocado and eel sauce that make it. I'm a big avocado fan, sometimes I eat it straight with just a spoon. The Dragon Roll has so much avocado, each piece is silky & smooth and the eel sauce gives it a nice sweet-soy sauce flavor. My second favorite is a tie between the Pink Lady Roll & Hurricane Roll. Both are very similar because they both have the same base: spicy crab, cucumber, & avocado. The differences are that the Pink Lady uses yellowtail, scallion, fish roe, and spicy mayo while the Hurricane uses tuna and white sauce. I'm not sure what's in the white sauce, but the flavor profiles are close. I question whether the spicy crab is made with imitation crab or real crab (probably the former), but both rolls are savory, sweet, and creamy. The Baja Fresh would be up there at #2 but it's spicy. I love spicy food and although I enjoyed it, it wrecked me 2 days later. I don't think it's so much the jalapeno slices but the chili sauce that did me in. The jalapeno slices & cilantro give it a fresh flavor with a crunch.Lastly, my least favorite was Rainbow. Nothing against this roll flavor-wise, but more price-wise. It's a variety crab/cucumber/avocado roll that alternates tuna, salmon, white fish, and shrimp. This roll is 10.95$. A plain Spicy Tuna or Salmon roll is $6.95. Despite alternating the protein here, I doubt crab/cucumber/avocado is worth the $4 upcharge.Currently Maru Iyagi holds the crown for best sushi in the area. It's not as fancy as the places down in Nashville but it's delicious, it's fresh, and it hits the spot."
"We had Ashely as our server. Very knowledgeable and professional. The dining area is beautiful. It felt hidden and intimate. The food came out quickly and tasted incredible!"
"If you dare to venture way down Nolensville Pike you'll be rewarded with this locals-favorite. The shopping center has all kinds of international markets and restaurants so we are excited to go back and try other places as well. The interior is cozy with a sushi bar and small tables. There were a lot of families here because it's casual and the portion sizes are good. They have a robust menu with Japanese and Korean entrees and sushi. I ordered the Jap Chae which is a Korean dish of glass noodles, sauteed peppers and beef. This comes with all the amazing Korean sides of kimchi and other accoutrements. My favorite was a spiced cold potato and I also devoured the cucumbers. The serving size is unreal--I had to get a to-go box and ate this for like 3 days after! My husband ordered the chicken katsu which was also a good portion and he didn't eat all of it too. The women who were working there were so kind and came over to check on us several times. We would come back here since everything was great."
"Food was pretty good- sushi was better than our entrees or appetizers! Customer service was okay but they seemed busy in a Friday night! They also give you sugared donuts as a dessert which was a nice touch."

The place next door had a line and I was in a rush so I popped in here.Service was fast, food was fresh, and good size portion.Comparable pricing to area restaurants.I got teriyaki chicken and they gave me a free soup.Veggies were nice and crisp and it was enough food to take home for leftovers.Staff was nice and place was quiet.

So I was very disappointed with the food. We spent a pretty penny and neither my husband nor myself enjoyed it. We waited a minute to get serviced after we got seated but customer service was decent. Overall was an ok experience. Will not come back.

I've lived in the Boro for a few years now and finally decided to give this restaurant a try. My wife and I stopped in for an early Saturday dinner so there wasn't a long wait for the Hibachi side of the restaurant. Our waitress was spectacular and can't say enough good things about the young lady. My drink was always full and cold. She constantly ensured we we doing ok and not in a annoying way. The itamae was really entertaining and kept us laughing the entire time he cooked our meal. He was probably the funniest I've ever experienced in a while. As for the food it seemed to lack flavor and just tasted as if I cooked it with watered down ingredients. The steak was tender and the Salmon cooked perfectly to the way we asked. The fried rice again tasted like plain rice with a little bit of butter. The portions, well let's put it this way. This is the first Hibachi grill I've ever been too where we could eat it all, without taking something home. The potions were very small, they wanted to charge extra for broccoli. Overall it's kinda of a shame that everything was so good for them to give child like potions. Because we would of came back for sure vs driving 30-45 min like we normally do. But it looks like our favorite spot will remain our favorite and we will make the drive. But 3 stars go to the server and the itamae.

Just tried Grace's for the first time - it was amazing! Had shrimp and pork lumpia, pancit, and a taste of her pork adobo. All were absolutely wonderful, the lumpia light and crispy, the pancit with a hint of that smoky flavor you miss, and the adobo melt in your mouth tasty. This is easily the best filipino food I've had outside the country itself. This is wonderful, restaurant-quality food coming out of a food truck. If you like filipino food, or you haven't tried it, this is the place to go. Good luck, Grace! Cookeville is lucky to have you!

#fatjared say...food was great, overall experience was average. I would definitely come back, and have lots of good, but for a top tier restaurant it was middle of the road.I have a very strict grading criteria that I have stayed true to my entire career on Yelp. the best you can give is 5 stars, so that requires no mistakes, a perfect experience. The worst I can give is 1 star, which means I have 0 good things to say, and 3 stars is middle of the road average. I also take into account the expectations for the restaurant prior to coming, and knowing the type of restaurant you advertise as.When you look up this place you automatically think fine dining. No doubt about it from the reviews, from the menu, and from marketing. And I agree on most fronts. It is a small room that is well decorated, intimate, well thought out, and honestly beautiful. It is a small menu which means they have intentional chefs and focus on flavor profiles and take time to create a "perfect bite".Here are my complaints about the experience we had, and I will say this is really unfortunate because I can't think of a bad bite of food I had all night. We ran out of water, our order came out wrong, a refund on the order was promised and then missed, bisque was brought out with no spoon to eat it with, a pen exploded on me, and an order came out completely wrong. While these don't have to do with the food and the taste, except for the order coming out wrong and tasting bad, these are also things that a true fine dining experience will not allow to happen, PERIOD. Disagree with me if you would like, but for what you pay to eat here I have no doubt that the people who work here hold themselves to a higher standard than those.NOW...for the food. We ordered the brussels and shishitos, cauliflower, lobster bisque with side of house made bacon, and lamb meatballs. Before taste detail, I will also say that I believe the pricing on the shareables menu is VERY FAIR and the best option for a date night. Left feeling satisfied but not grossly full.Brussels were perfectly cooked, slightly below crunchy, perfect charr on shishitos, cashew creme with manchego was genius, and a light bite of tasty deliciousness. The lobster bisque had a great amount of meat in it, not too heavy on the butter flavor, balanced and complex in flavor, and when I had the smoked bacon on the side the surf and turf were a super cool compliment. The meatballs had just enough of a hint of spice, felt authentic to Mediterranean flavor, strong lamb flavor which I love, and the portion was awesome. The rockstar of the night though was the cauliflower. There are about 5 different aspects to the flavor profile, some sweet, some savory, but the overall component mix and precision was truly a masterpiece. I would eat 4 pounds of it if I could!I enjoyed my experience, and know that 3 stars is not what I even wanted to review here, but it had to be done when thinking of overall experience. HIGHLY suggest making a trip. It's a fun date and I think worth what you get price wise on the shareable menu!

I finally wrote a review for Vui's after years of regularly dining here! Vui's is my go to place because it is only 3 minutes drive from my work and I can order ahead without waiting in line. My favorite is everything pork belly like Banh Mi, Bao Bun, rice bowl, salad bowl with extra pork belly, chili lime sauce and creamy citrus sauce. Sticky wings are good as well. If you like Vietnamese coffee, don't forget to grab some. Vui's is more than a restaurant for me. After a long day at work, I normally come here. The food and the atmosphere in the restaurant comfort me. I had to work on Easter this year and Vui's was the only restaurant around that opened until 9pm! Without Vui's, it would be hard on a rough day at work or on a holiday. Thank you for serving good food to the community. I love your juice bar too! Ps. Salad Bowl has raw cabbage in it. I am not a fan of raw green cabbage but it can be substitute with something else though :)
Visit Restaurant Page"This spot is worth the trip outside of the city. We ordered quite a few items to try a little bit of everything and loved it all! The fried chicken was our favorite. There were plenty of tables available to sit at on a Thursday afternoon. Do make sure to check the hours before planning your visit because they are only open Thursday-Saturday"
"Me and my friend went here for lunch, it was 2ish, so place was not packed, our host was nice and friendly. He liked it when we raved how good some dishes are but when I told him iced coffee is not good I could see him rolling his face on us.Things we orderedKorean wings: definitely get it.Roti with curry: definitely get it.Egg roll: hmmm, it's your regular egg roll that you get in any Asian restaurant.Basil fried rice: below average Donut: I was so full so I dint taste, but my friend loved it.Vietnamese iced coffee: skip it.Ambiance: place looked bit dirty, but was okay I guess.Overall definitely try the place."
"One of the best meals I've ever had.Period.Service and food -- cannot be matched. Truly one of the most intriguing meals."
"Y(o)u- (k)no, you're really missing out if you don't give this place a shot! They have the BEST sushi lunch deals and consistently deliver quality sushi. My favorite lunch deal is the $10 pick two regular roll deal. You also get a soup or salad with the dish. They have an extensive lunch menu served from 11:00-2:30 that includes nagiri, chicken teriyaki, bulgogi and more. I highly recommend you check it out if you're looking to get the most out of your money.I got the two roll lunch deal to go for my break during work. I opted for the spicy yellow tail and tuna roll with a side of miso soup. Each roll came with 8 pieces full of fish. The spicy yellow tail was soft and had no pungent smell. There was a dab of hot sauce in each roll which gave it the perfect kick. The tuna roll was fresh and of high quality. The miso soup contained small pieces of tofu and seaweed, which was a nice touch! This was a pretty solid and standard sushi meal, but for half the price I would usually expect to pay. To top it all off, the servers were kind and fast. They had my meal waiting for me as soon as I walked in. Parking is also not an issue here. Though I didn't eat here, I did notice Yuno is a very clean establishment that hosts a very casual vibe. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!"
"As and ex-Angelina aka Cali-When I find a gem in Tn Nashville I'm literally in tears .Boba drink Bussen and my daughter loved her Banh mi pork sandwich"
"Great food and Bret our server was right on with our food orders. We had the sashimi platters and Scottish Salmon. Food was fresh which is key to good sushi. I loved the grilled salmon w/out the sauce. We were too full to order dessert but this restaurant is perfect for any special meal. We will be back and the chef catered to our special food requests! Lovely dinner with our long time friends!"
"Was looking forward to trying this place, but sad to say the food was no big shakes. The ambiance is nice and place is inviting, but the food was a let down. We had the orange chicken and it was dry and did not have much flavor, I had to pour some sweet and sour sauce to remove the chickeny taste bc it had very little sauce. Also our waitress forgot the sweet and sour sauce and didn't remember it until we asked her for the check. The basil fried rice was ok but we would not be back."
"The best Tom Yum soup you will ever eat. There are myriad other reasons to visit - everything on the menu is good - but this soup is a gateway to the divine, especially with big, juicy shrimp, and an option to add noodles. It might cure everything that ails you."
"The service here is excellent and always courageous. The ambiance has never changed in 12 yrs. Same table setup and very low noise levels. Good lighting and a good place to eat and have a conversation.I cannot say enough about how good the food is. Every dish is consistent. The hot and sour soup was as good today as it was when I first ate it 12 years ago. The chengdu beef was excellent as always and the same with the pepper chicken. If it says spicy and you don't specify that you don't want it spicy you need to speak up. Please patronize this family run business I promise you will not be disappointed. It has been 12 years worth of meal here and I have never been sorry once."
"Very surprised by our visit for AYCE Korean BBQ. This restaurant was much larger than we thought and lots of options on the menu. The staff was nice and our server Danni gets 5 stars! I have done AYCE Korean before (many times) and this one was a little different. You get to choose 2 meats and 3 Banchans (sides) for the table per round/order. That was a little odd, because they consider rice and wrappers as sides. Plus it's nice when all the traditional Korean banchans are out on a table. But our server was great and we figured out how to time is so we can get what we wanted with our meal. I just don't know how large groups would do that? Maybe consider 2 banchan requests per customer for each round? Banchan and meat portions were good. Also meat quality was great. Really good Bulgogi and pork belly. Kimchi was good and we really went because they had radish wrappers! We haven't seen those in Nashville, just lettuce usually. Now if they had rice wrappers and fish cake that would be awesome! Also no steamed egg here. They put Yum Yum sauce in your trio of sauces which we thought was odd. They do have Mac & Cheese, Fries and Chicken Nuggets (their version) as sides, if your kiddo is not a Korean BBQ fan - that was cool. The offer vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream at the end but we were full. Food overall was good. Very clean and great ventilation - you didn't smell at all like you came out of a Korean BBQ Restaurant. Also, lots of seating options, especially for groups and parties which was cool. Full bar and food drink/beer selection - wish they had Hite beer on the list."
"This hospitality is great and so is the food! Great place to come if you want some protein after the gym or are wanting to get a full tummy. You can add as much or as little to your bowl as you want when you create your own bowl. Small tip: season the bowl before putting any protein into your bowl, it will make a huge difference! Another gem on their menu is the boba. It's possibly the cheapest boba you will ever find in the area and better yet it's also delicious! Not only is the food great, but so is the service. The staff was observant and extra kind. When a staff member saw my boyfriend put sriracha on his fortune cookie he came around and gave us five more. I recommend everyone to give this place a chance! Sweet people who deserve the customers!"
"Great stand at the Nashville Farmer's Market offering Korean cuisine and sushi at very reasonable prices. We ordered the bulgogi bibimbap bowl and it was delicious. After eating so much Nashville hot chicken, it was a great change of pace. I loved the flavor and fresh ingredients. We always stop at this market when in Nashville and will make it a point to stop by this restaurant during the next visit."
"We were glad to find this Chinese buffet in Bellevue. We have been looking for good Chinese food here in Nashville, and there is a lot to like at Asihi. We were seated promptly upon arrival at lunch time on Saturday afternoon. We decided to visit the hibachi, where you choose items from the hibachi bar and they are prepared fresh for you while you wait. There is no better way to have noodles! I also liked the shrimp and crab, and the selection of vegetables available on the hibachi bar. As for the buffet, my favorites were the egg roll, the baked crab, crab salad, and mushrooms. I did not care for the bourbon chicken and I was disappointed in the crab Rangoon, which I usually love. Overall, though, this is a good buffet and satisfied our craving for Chinese food. I'm sure we will be back."
"This was our first time finding Chinese take-out since moving. It was easy to place an order online and the pick up time was very reasonable. We ordered honey chicken (which was breaded, so not the way we're used to having it), chicken lo mien (the noodles were good, but very thick) and Kung Pao chicken with medium level spice (it had not been cooked in peanut oil, so my husband actually added a little peanut butter to the dish as a substitute). Overall not bad in a pinch (for both cost and ease of ordering), but we'll continue our search for a go-to place."
"I'm on a mission to find great sushi places near the Murfreesboro area and ran across this hidden gem. First time coming here and I definitely will be back. I went around the time they first opened so it wasn't busy at all and was able to come in and sit right down. The setting was very casual and relaxed. The waiter was very attentive and checked on us throughout the duration of our lunch. I ordered the spring rolls for appetizer, as well as the Temptation roll. They brought out complimentary soup before we even ordered which I've never seen done at any sushi restaurant before but I loved it and the soup was out of this world. The spring rolls came out smoking hot so you definitely get fresh food when you come. The Temptation roll was sooooo delicious it came with crab meat, shrimp, masago, scallions, eel sauce and a special sauce and the presentation was 10/10. There were so many other things I wanted to try on the menu that sound good so I will be back to try them. I would highly recommend this restaurant."
"We love Assembly Food Hall and aim to try a new place every time we come here. Thai Esane was our restaurant for our recent visit and it was a decent meal overall. I got the drunken noodles and I liked the flavor of the meal and the texture of the vegetables, but the chicken was oddly soft and the texture was more akin to tofu. My wife got the red curry and she loved the flavor of it, but the texture of her chicken was also off and she didn't care for it either. Prices were very reasonable and we would come back here again, but would probably not get the chicken next time."
"I have been to teriyaki madness in nolensville but I like this one better. Chicken teriyaki had some char and crispy edges which adds to the flavor. The dine in area is small but owners were there and enthusiastic. I recommend the white (steamed rice) because at the nolensville location, the brown rice had a weird taste. My suggestion would be fresh lemon slices for the iced tea."
"Came to add another pic! Love this and particularly their lunch prices/portions! Great service and vibes, as always!"
"I really enjoyed the pho here! I've had the Beef Pho and the portion is smaller than what I'm used to, but felt like a refreshing meal for one person. The local kombucha they serve is Walker Brothers. Blueberry Jasmine and Cucumber Melon are a new favorite!Overall vibe was nice and the restaurant was extremely clean. Staff was super friendly. I personally don't think I'd buy pho here in the future because of the serving size, but am excited to go back and try different dishes."
"Soy Bistro has been on my radar for a while ... and I was finally able to stop in for lunch with a friend while I was in the Brentwood area. We got there right when they opened on a weekday, and there were already only a few tables left! It's clear this is a popular spot to grab a bite. Previous reviews that mention a small parking lot are correct - but if you time it right, you should be able to snag a spot. At the recommendation of one of the Soy Bistro team members, we started with an order of the edamame hummus and chips. This was a unique appetizer option, and one I probably wouldn't have ordered on my own. The hummus was bright and fresh, and the housemade chips were tasty, although the honey drizzle threw me off just a bit. For my entree, I went with the Gochujang Chicken, which also came highly recommended. This saucy, sweet, and spicy chicken was served on top of a mountain of perfectly cooked rice, and topped with a beautiful fried egg. The salad situation on the side wasn't my favorite - but everything else was delicious, and this is definitely something I'd order again. My friend went with the chicken fried rice, which was a huge portion, and she had enough leftovers to make a second meal. While the food was tasty, it's the service at Soy Bistro that is truly memorable. A few different members checked on our table several times, and you can tell that these are folks that love to get to know their regulars. I can't wait to return soon to try more of their fun Asian fusion menu."
