This place is OPEN!!! Reopened as of last week after speaking to the staff. Food, value, ambiance was great. I would definitely recommend this spot for a nice lunch or dinner. Got the karaage to start and the tonkotsu ramen and pork belly udon. Delish!

Cool spot for a date night or night with friends!! Layout of the restaurant is pretty interesting and spacious enough to feel like you are having an intimate convo. I don't drink much but it looks like a place with great cocktails too!The food was not bad, we got the tonkatsu ramen, hamachi carpaccio, and chicken skewers.Ramen broth was rich and tasty, but a bit over salted for my taste. A bit pricey too, $17Hamachi was ok - it's not a sushi focused restaurant so it's fine lolChicken skewers had a good texture but a bit to salty sweet for me!

Our party of three headed to Nanaya on a recent Saturday night for dinner...The fact that there were plenty of open tables during prime time should have been a sign, but we wanted to give it a try, so we stayed. Service was friendly enough and the appetizers we had (shishito peppers and edamame) were good, but the rest of the meal went downhill from there. When we asked about the sushi, we learned that it is partially pre-made, hence not made fresh to order. One in our party had a shellfish allergy and the waitress could not guarantee that it would be safe to order a roll.We went with signature dishes for our main courses (black cod and tofu) and all found them too saucy and underwhelming. Prices are expensive for what you get.We skipped dessert but we overheard the table next to us trying to order coffee or espresso with their final course... they were told that the only option was cold brew, which seemed a bit odd. No hot coffee option? Or decaf?Sadly, with so many other dining options in the area, I don't plan to return.

This was my first time visiting Nanaya and I am impressed. It has a modern, slightly upscale Japanese feeling with cool architectural touches. Real thought went into the design of the restaurant. My guest and I were fortunate to get a table right away. Reservations are recommended, per the host. Especially on weekends. In my constant quest for perfect ramen, I definitely say Nanaya's spicy bowl is a strong contender. I mean, really...look at that bowl and tell me it doesn't look swoon-worthy? If you don't like spicy, order it the standard way. One bowl is the Paitan Shoyu spicy with pork and the other is the Miso Lover spicy with chicken. We also ordered Nanaya's gyoza appetizer and the stand out was the sauce for sure! It had the flavor of gochujang and a few other notes. It was a great accompaniment to the gyoza, which were a good size and crispness. For those of you looking to try a new place or wanting a cool spot for date night, definitely check out Nanaya. It can be a bit hard to find, though. It is tucked back behind the shopping center. You won't want to miss this new local gem.

Came here on a Friday night. Had a reservation. It was good, not great. Food/service/atmosphere. It was all fine. But nothing special. Service was friendly and fast but not completely efficient. Didn't clear plates off of table or come back and check on us after we got our food. Food was good but overpriced. Faroe salmon roll had 4 pieces. That's $5 a bite. Skip the shishito peppers. Most were undercooked. Spicy tuna tartare was good but not spicy. Tuna lover roll was probably the best. Oh- and the fresh wasabi. We love fresh wasabi and it was a treat to have it included with the sushi.

This is the latest restaurant to occupy this semi-hidden space at the back of the building. As you enter the bar area is to the left and the main dining room is to the right.I sat at the bar for dinner. My pork gyoza appetizer was delicious. Also impressive was the short rib. It was tender and flavorful and came with a nice sauce and very pretty presentation on the plate. The only slight downside was the service. The bartender is very good but simply overworked between making drinks and serving the bar seats and tables in her area.

My partner and I went here at 7:30 and were seated immediately. The left side is the bar and right side is the restaraunt area. Apparently they revamped their menu recently and we ordered the soft shell crab sandwich, pork ramen, curry buns and beer. Idk if they forgot about us but we waited 40 min and the waiter said he would would give us a discount for waiting which we very much appreciated. The soft shell crab was delicious. The pork ramen wasn't anything special but the curry buns were a disappointment. The food was cold and it said it came with potato salad, but they said they were all out when we asked about it. At the end though, they gave us our meal on the house which was very much appreciated! The bill would've been $70-$80 which we thought was steep considering our experience but the fact that they covered it showed their commitment to customers.

This was a great first visit. Staff sat us a table very quickly on the edge of the patio. We ordered sake and they brought out little drinking boxes. This was a fun first. Sake was smooth a had light fruit notes. The chicken appetizer came out super hot with the perfect amount of breading. The sauce was a perfect compliment. Lastly I had the Wagyu short rib. Beef was perfect texture and great taste. Prices are reasonable and the presentation was artful. Glad I discovered this place, it's a great replacement for one my favorite Asian places that closed permanently due to the pandemic.

We had a great anniversary dinner here 22JulySince they were only opened for dinner we did an early booking at 5pm and requested an outdoor table as we have 4 kids under 5 and didn't want to ruin the mood for others. Since it is summer we got a nice little conservatory table by ourselves. It was perfect. Not only did we have a section to ourselves but my kids could look out the window and be entertainedAs a whole the service was very friendly and very efficient. We couldn't fault it. They also gave us a complimentary dessertWe ordered the Shishito peppersPork belly skewersKaraage chickenGyozaTakoyakiTuna lovers rollsChicken katsu SandoCreme BruleeLava cakeIcecream trio Honey cakeIn general we thoroughly enjoyed our meals with very minor issues. We both loved the pork belly the most. With the Takoyaki second for me. For dessert the brulee was bombThe sushi rice was a little dry. The sauces on the savory dishes were a little sweet for me and the lava cake was not lava :(

This place use to be a hidden gem, now it should just stay hidden. After the reopening I was surprised to find that they shredded the menu. It's a Japanese restaurant that stumbled across a few rolls. The owner says sushi is hard to come by, yet sushi brokers a mile away and Sushiholic are serving up sushi like there is a surplus. What sushi they have left is alright. $22 for the sushimi picture. Looks pretty but it's missing the premium taste I fell in love with. The new menu is filled with half baked overly priced dishes. $15 for two lack luster shrimp on a skewer? They still have a nice space, but all of the bartenders like Elise are gone. They gave the place personality. Save yourself some $$ and go get a burger. The Porch down the street has a great selection and dope atmosphere.
