Nami-Korean Kitchen & Sushi

Stumbled upon Nami-Korean Kitchen and it was quite the pleasant surprise! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, setting a relaxed vibe that's perfect for a casual night out.The food is great - flavorful and satisfying. We tried a few dishes, and each one had its own unique twist that kept things interesting. We also had the pleasure of meeting Soony, who is an absolute gem. She's friendly, attentive, and really knows how to make guests feel welcome. We've been looking for a spot like this near us and are happy to have found it. Definitely worth a visit!

I've considered downloading Yelp before to help rate exceptional food businesses; however, Nami pushed me over the edge.I've been to Nami twice now and the food is absolutely amazing, both the Korean dishes and the sushi. The Dak-Galbi is, arguably, the best chicken dish I have ever experienced. The meat was extremely tender, full of flavor, and had a slight kick of spice that wrapped everything together very well. The rice is fantastic. I never thought that I would get to a point where I could differentiate especially delicious rice from typical rice but the rice at Nami has been extremely good--probably some of the best rice I've had. The LA Galbi (short rib) is also very good. Finally, the sushi is great. There are some special rolls that don't necessarily cater to everyone but I believe that is the best part--there are a lot of unique rolls that can meet different peoples' tastes. And the traditional or normal rolls are simply but deliciously crafted.The service has been great every time I've been to Nami. The waiters and waitresses do a great job checking in on guests while allowing time for conversation and not impeding said time. They are typically very friendly and will have answers for your food related questions. Furthermore, Kevin, the owner, and his wife are very friendly and do a great job at catering to customers.The overall environment of Nami is nice. It has the ambiance and decor of an expensive, exquisite, or "fancy" restaurant--and yet, it retains the price of a typical local restaurant. The decor matches the Korean theme. When busy, Nami has a warm and welcoming feel to it.Overall, Nami is great. It is one of the best local restaurants I've been to in both Arizona and Southern Cali. If you find yourself in North Phoenix craving Asian cuisine, I recommend--above all--Nami, as your first stop.

Girlfriend and I stopped in here after seeing the reviews and it did not disappoint. The place was clean with a good atmosphere and the staff was very helpful and attentive even though they were training a new employee. We didn't get any pictures but for food we got: Bulgogi, kimchi stew, lemon roll, tuna avocado roll, a yellowtail lover roll and a scallop hand roll. The prices were about the same as other Korean restaurants but all of the portions were larger than any other locations. All of the rolls were fantastic and fresh and the entrees were so flavorful. One of my new favorite places

For the price point and quality of sushi this is a great spot in N. PHX! Located in a very plain and casual plaza, what a gem.Great service - friendly staff. Friend and I ordered 5 dishes - salmon carpaccio (omg such pretty presentation), spicy scallop roll, snow flower roll, over the rainbow roll, and yellow tail lover. Rolls are definitely a few dollars less than some of the well known sushi spots in PHX. Everything was fresh and tasty. Some sushi toppings were combos I had never seen before which was cool. Definitely would return - check it out for your next casual sushi date!

Very pleasantly surprised by my first visit. The place is super clean, bigger than I thought it would be, a great selection of sushi and Korean foods. We had a white mango roll with crispy rice and a garlic crunch roll. Both presentations were beautiful and I appreciated that they 1) were tightly rolled and 2) were not monster sized. Service was attentive and friendly. I am excited to try their Korean choice and other sushi options. Two rolls, an app and one soda ran about $32, a fair price for good food.

Nami is a straight up hidden gem!I went to check it out and was not disappointed. The environment is clean, welcoming, and there is great music playing.The team is all super friendly and quick when it comes to serving. The menu offers a lot of options, but it's not overwhelming. Since Nami is new we decided to try a few plates and appetizers; EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! One thing that upset me was my appetizer came out after my entree, but when they explained why I was amazed. They said the avocado they used was not up to standards. Instead of giving me a nasty avocado, they went looking for a new one. Attention to detail is huge to me, and Nami gets it!All food came out hot and fresh, and packed full of flavor. Definitely try Nami if you want excellent food!

The food is really good. Sushi is of quality and great value. Can't beat such a combination! For a casual neighborhood sushi place that is appropriate for a simple date night or an easy lunch meal, Nami offers sushis, sashimis, sushi rolls, and Korean foods. Not only that, service is great so far. The owners are Korean and hence a Korean twist to their sushis. Love the purple rice sushis. Kevin is very attentive to details where he plates every sushi order beautifully as you can see in the photos. I don't personally care for too much sauce since it takes away the flavor of the fish and Kevin does exactly that to ho or the flavors of the sushis themselves. He also creates somewhat different flavor profiles for each sushis which makes it unique and intriguing. Unlike many other sushi restaurants, most rolls taste almost the same. Will be back and bring more friends over!

The food is honestly very well priced for a Korean restaurant. The service was pretty quick and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, it's good for a little date night. My portion size was amazing. It was $16 for bibimbap that also came with a miso soup. Their gyoza was cooked perfectly and kimchi + other pickled veggies coming on the side of the bulgogi really topped off the meal. Next time I'll be trying the sushi!

Another exceptional dining experience! The food is incredibly authentic and delicious, with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The service is attentive and friendly, ensuring we never had to ask for refills and that everything was going smoothly. This time around we ordered the bulgogi, Mandu, golden avocado (a true classic!), and a tuna lover's roll. All absolutely mouth watering!

The restaurant is clean and very nicely decorated.The service was excellent and no wait time. My husband and I ordered the L.A. Galbi, Deaji Bulgogi, and an order of Spicy California Roll. It took less than 10 minutes to bring the food out. The food was delicious and the price is reasonable for the amount of food.Definitely coming back.
