Nado Gelato by Bottega Italiana

One of my favorite gelato store in San Diego, Nado Gelato offers a wide selection of gelato flavors ranging from chocolate to tart flavors like berry & lemon. I personally love all the italian flavors (panna cotta, amaretto and stracciatella) but my personal favorite is the opera (which taste like nutella milk ice cream with bits of hazelnut!) Parking can be a bit of a hassle on the weekends but I like to walk around Coronado before treating myself to a small/kid size gelato at Nado. Gelato in the summer! This is a cool gelato shop right off of Orange Ave. It is worth a stop. They had 4 dairy-free options for my daughter, which I was grateful for. The guy helping us recommended his favorites and let us sample as many as we wanted. Feels like a small-town parlor with a great atmosphere to take a break and enjoy some good gelato.

When real life is better than the dream. This is THE place to go for gelato. Made from scratch so they can run out of a flavor. Amazing taste and texture. A pure delight and a must so with in Coronado.

We stopped by Nado Gelato after doing a little bit of bike riding around the island. We went in and looked at the menu, which had a very good selection. The gentleman working the counter was very nice and patient as people looked over the menu to make their selections. I opted for the banana and coconut. Both were very delicious and rich in flavor. My buddy got the banana and strawberry, which was also very good. All in all, the gelato is rich in taste and the establishment is very clean and nice to hang out in while eating your gelato. I recommend grabbing some gelato while staying cool in Coronado Island.

I ordered the two scoop Black Vanilla and Cherry. I was able to sample their pineapple which was great too!

This was real gelato! It was covered and absolutely delicious! Decently priced considering it's in Coronado but worth going if you're around. Service was good and the place had some seating.

I ordered 2 scoops (one Stracciatella and the other salted caramel flavor and it was good! I'm not giving it a 5/5 because I felt like they had limited flavor options, and didn't have pistachios, which was odd since that is a flavor that Italy is known for. The gelato itself was good too, but a little on the icy side.I wish it was a bit thicker and creamier. The line was not long at all, and the service was good. I'm not sure if they do samples since I didn't get any samples, but the server was helpful in deciding which flavors to choose. This shop is a little small, but there was indoor seating which was nice to lounge around in for a bit. Overall, this place was cute and I'd come back again if I was in the area.

Omg. I love pistachio gelato but this takes it to a whole new level. Orgasmic. I had it with their mojito and woooooooo! Will definitely come back.

Amazing amazing and amazing! Nowhere else will you be able to really get true fruit flavors into gelato. The pear is probably the best flavored gelato I have ever had. It's just like eating a real pear, just in frozen form. love to pair it with the stracciattella to add a few chocolate chips along with it. It's so so good! The Mixed Berry is another favorite that I add to a scoop of lemon gelato. I love that you can have 2 different flavors in the small cup. There will always be a new Chef's special listed, and I usually like to get a sample to taste, unless they have the Pear flavor. Cuz I can't not get that one when it's available. Yes, anytime I'm anywhere near the Coronado Island area, I have to take the trip over the bridge for a cup of the best gelato.

First time at this gelato place and the flavors did not disappoint.I like the variety of flavors. I would definitely try matcha and pineapple next time.Great service from the staff who took the time to Introduce their favorites.I would seriously recommend some lounge music and plants for the decors. Maybe a small water fountain in the back!
