Tried their food truck last night and I was pretty disappointed. I got the butter chicken because I know what that should taste like along with rice and vegetables. I also ordered a naan. The butter chicken was not butter chicken. It was some other spicy chicken recipe. And it was sooooo salty! The vegetables were garbanzo bean were stewed in the same salty sauce. Thankfully the rice was able to cut some of the salt out so I was able to eat a few more bites. I also tried a pickled item which was inedible. The naan was just as disappointing. It was like a frozen Costco naan herbs and garlic added then warmed up and cooked on a flat top to give it a golden underside. Nothing about this was good Indian food. Sadly we won't be back to this truck.

Above average lunch option. Butter chicken - 4/5. Small kick but a good complex flavor. Almost has an adobo vibe.Paneer with vegetables - 3.5/5. Well done with solid paneer and nicely cooked peppers.

I was really hoping the conveniently located and popular food truck was as good as the line suggested. I was a little concerned about time since it was the start of the lunch rush but it moved quickly. My coworker and I ordered the butter chicken. The price was great, but sometimes you get what you pay for? The truck is two blocks from my office, and I assumed if it was fresh and hot, that it would at least still be warm by the time I got to my desk. It was lukewarm at best in the middle, and a piece of chicken was actually cool on the edge. This is where I start to get concerned about temperature for the sake of food safety, so I decided to nuke it in the microwave. Microwaving didn't make any difference on flavor one way or the other, my coworker and I wondered if they forgot the butter? It tasted like leftover saag was used in the sauce to make the batch stretch, or idk if they were running low already. It was disappointing, there was definitely a flavor but it wasn't the one we expected and we couldn't place it. We order Indian food and have it delivered to the office in a semi regular basis and there are some great options in SLU, this one wasn't on par. And I got heartburn last night for the first time in a very long time. There's nothing about that meal that makes me want to give this a second chance later, especially because of the food handling concerns, and I've had really good and piping hot food from other trucks. Maybe there was an equipment issue yesterday and they tried their best, but still need to check it and make sure the temps are within a safe range? Maybe it was a fluke and some bad luck? All we could say yesterday was Naansense was nonsense.Edit: I didn't get a chance to upload the photos earlier this morning, and unfortunately don't see a reply option to the owner who replied promptly. I was definitely at the Naansense truck yesterday (please see the photos that are there now). I understand the compostable containers might not be well insulated, but it's hard to believe hot food would be cool, close to cold when I was out less than five minutes and back in my office. Also, I never said saag was on the menu, but the little strings of spinach or whatever was in the butter chicken sauce was reminiscent of saag, and it *seemed* like leftover something went into the sauce to stretch it. Prompt responses are great, defensiveness and defaulting to assuming the customer didn't even remember where they got their food yesterday isn't.

My friend and I ordered the butter chicken with rice and lamb curry with rice and two garlic naans. At first when we saw how huge the naan was we said that we should've only gotten one and shared... But man everything was ridiculously salty. We ended up eating all our rice and our own naan and drinking a ton of water. The food wouldve honestly been delicious if it weren't for all that salt. This is coming from someone who salts a ton on everything!! If I find it salty then it was definitely salty! Maybe it was just that day, but I don't plan to be coming back any time soon. The butter chicken was yummy if you disregard the salt but it was not butter chicken? It was not buttery, not even a similar taste or color! I asked my Indian friend about it and he said it definitely didn't look like butter chicken either. If you can get past that then you might actually enjoy it cause it's definitely different and interesting!

No, don't eat here. It might smell amazing when you walk by but it isn't worth it at all. It's so greasy and even if you ask for the veggies and no rice they will still charge you for everything, might as well gotten the rice and it "might" be worth it. The Naan was meh, there was no browning on one side which made me feel like it wasn't baked all the way. Again, it was SO greasy that I used 4 paper towels to soak most of it up. It's better just to order from a normal Indian restaurant with a side of Naan because it'll cost the same but 100% better quality. Also felt sick after I ate. I should of just gone to District H like I planned....

Love this place near my work! One of the best Indian food trucks I have come across. I always get the paneer special of the day and its always really good. Love that it comes with rice and you have the option to buy naan for an additional cost. I could easily do with just the rice and paneer but the naan is so worth it. Freshly made as you are ordering. The line gets pretty long at noon. Highly recommend getting there when they open but if you are stuck in the line it is well worth the wait.

Naansense is a deceptively great food truck, serving up great Indian food.I've had Naansense several times and I've never walked away disappointed. In fact, I tend to circle my calendar when I know it's nearby, so I can make it a point to stop by during my lunch break. If you enjoy Indian curry, then I would trust that you'd enjoy this food truck's offerings. Across all its meat offerings the meats are considerably tender. It's tender the the point where you can easily cut through it with a plastic spoon. The Butter Chicken is savory, creamy and obviously buttery. The chicken itself is fresh plentiful and it's very tender and juicy. The rice is a nice provider of balance to the butteriness of the curry. It's delicious. The Lamb Meatball Curry is also extremely flavorful. It's very generous with the amount of lamb in the serving and the curry is full of flavor. There's a very, very mild spice to the curry that adds to the depth of flavor. There are so many spices that come through that make it such a flavorful dish. The Naan is a must. The naan is huge, it's the size of my head. It's becomes very pre-buttered in a brown paper bag and it w/ the butter chicken or lamb curry makes for such a delicious bite of food. It's buttery, light and crispy. It's good on its own but it's even better when your grab a piece of meat or wipe up some sauce with it. It's a must. In addition to the daily meat options there's also a rotating daily special that is also extremely delicious too. Cons: If you're in a time crunch and it's during lunch rush then you'll probably struggle to get food in time, but that's only because there tends to be so many people in line! -- if you see this food truck with none one in line, do yourself a favor and check it out. Pro: It's absolutely delicious. It offers 3-4 entrees daily and all are extremely delicious. Check it out.

We stopped by last week, we ordered butter chicken with naan and mint lamb with naan.Everything was good and fresh. When you add naan, the curry(sauce) not enough for both naan and rice.FYI: Butter chicken was good but it dint taste anything like butter chicken, especially in US butter chicken/paneer is usually creamy and buttery, it's definitely a good chicken curry but not butter chicken. My husband had ordered mint lamb, he and my son told it was good, but I didn't taste it.Recommend this place.

Experienced the delicious taste literally minutes ago, and wanted to give my feedback while it is still fresh in my mind. To the owners ... I have been in hospitality, and service for decades, so simply sharing my "experience" I was heading home from the gym, and dreading another boring meal at home. Actually saw the food truck on my way to the gym, and was excited that it was still there as I was walking home. The attendant shared that there was no menu. I wish we humans can raise the bar, and exceed it more. Even if you had to type, or write items out, it gives the guest something to look at while making a decision. Then it make you wonder if it isn't posted because of the price of the items. He then shared with me what was on the menu. Took a little time explaining butter chicken etc. Just a food for thought. There are many of us that are cultured and travel. Hence, if there was a menu we could see the ingredients. While sharing the options, price was never mentioned. I ordered the lamb, and garlic naan. The order plus the "You must tip IPAD screen" came up to $23.11The food was literally being placed in my container as I was checking out on the IPAD. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS !!! And I have had Indian food in India. The dahl was seasoned perfectly, the lamb tasteful, and the naan still warm by time I made it home.Pluses *** Flavor, Speed, Supporting small businessesOpportunity to raise the bar *** Having a menu. No need to describe the dishes. Small talk not needed (Not trying to be antisocial. Pleasant, and courteous manner fulfills all. Many of us order food to get in/out. When we go to a restaurant we understand there is going to be interaction)Great overall, and I wouldn't hesitate to try again if I saw this food truck. Hopefully you all are planning to open a pop up or restaurant
